  1. I spent the entire weekend sleeping thanks to some heavy duty pain killers prescribed to me (wisdom teeth removal). My SO said that he missed me and it has felt like I've been gone all weekend even though I'm in the other room asleep.

Same goes for Kodou PV as well. Take Kyo out of the equation and things suddenly seem more normal (although this is probably one of the best pictures of the band): Here's a good one - were they still visual in the Ryoujoku no ame video? Were the promo pics for MOAB and the GRIEF PV when it completly stopped? Ah! Good point bringing up Saku, that shit is still pretty damn visual. I remember there wasn't much complaining when Saku came out and most people in my clique of friends (IRL and interbutts) really liked it but I think partly because Kyo was still pretty visual so appeased a lot of people. However I remember Withering to Death there was quite a shit storm since the visuals had significantly toned down. I know people called Vulgar era Americanized (this was before my time in VK) but I remember Withering to Death being called Americanized a lot. Also I think Clever Sleazoid Kyo was also still pretty visual, I can't find a decent picture of the band from that time and then I started watching Mariyln Manson videos on YouTube. I mean just watch this shit. tVa9BJIAPjI I remember there was a lot of controversy around this song because I remember this was one of their first really heavy songs that lacked a dramatic melodic chorus. I remember there being a lot of bitchfits over this.

I'll be at a big fancy Jewish wedding and I already asked if it was costumed themed and my friend was quick to say NO! Soooooooooooo I will be going in my fancy formal clothing as formal Arithmetica I guess or something whatever. Honestly I don't ever really dress up for Halloween, the past two years I did manage to pick up a cheap female Star Fleet uniform (Star Trek) and my old hair cut I could pass as a Vulcan so I would glue on some ears and done LOL!

Windows 7 Ultimate but I also have a MacBook but I hardly use it. Not because it's a Mac but because I just don't use my laptop very much. The other three desktops and laptops we have use Windows. One is currently using Windows 8 (I hate the metro UI). Not sure what kind of job you're doing, however it is true that Windows pretty much dominates the office world. However big tech companies, Amazon in particular and even Microsoft allow employees to use OSX and Linux operation systems. From what I hear from friends, Microsoft employees still primarily use Windows but you can walk on into some studios and find a great number of employees working on OSX. *I think* most of Amazon is on Linux, I have a friend that works there and it was either Linux or OSX that is primarily used in his department (He's a developer) but I imagine the financial side is dominated by Windows because I'm not sure if most financial software is supported by Linux/OSX (Think Congos, PeopleSoft, Oracle). Anyway, I don't have a favourite but Microsoft pays my bills and I get all their software for dirt cheap so I tend to favor Windows. In the end the only things I really dislike about Macs and Linux is the delf-righteousness holier-than-thou userbase. Not everyone is like that but it's the obnoxious fanboys and fangirls that drive me away (like dir en grey fans). You can go ahead and list why OSX is better than Windows but I don't give a shit. My PC that I built is more powerful than even the most expensive Macintosh computer available and I want to play God damn games on it so Windows it is haha.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday but I've pretty much been asleep since noon until now (4am Saturday). Sheesh, I took some more painkillers which is suppose to help me sleep but it's not making me drowsy.

I agree nothing wrong with admiring beauty but the first two replies where like yup lol looks matter. I mean, I listen to visual kei too and originally what drew me in was the look of bandmen but I've seen some cray crays get their standards really screwed up because of visual kei. I know we ladies get really shafted by society in what is considered beautiful and have a lot of pressure put on us every day. However it's also annoying to see the very same women bitch about how they get judge so harshly for being a little overweight, but criticize other men harshly for their weight or something out of their control. I know no one in this thread did that but it's one of my pet peeves. Anyway, I didn't mean to come off so harsh in my initial post but I think it kinda irked me a little bit. I'm also on major pain killers right now so if I don't make sense or accidentally a word my bad.

Just an fyi but this has actually happened before and was fixed within the day. I been listening to music all morning and see that my play count is going up, so it's probably still keeping track and updating your charts. After the fix, I can see the possibility of losing what you played during the downtime but in any case HAVE NO WORRIES! The charts that we all place so much value on and that we tie to our Internet identity will return.

Doesn't one of the members do all the artwork? At least I know that one of them designed the band's logo, so I'm not sure if he also does album artwork. The cover art is pretty boss.

YS92pTUGsuQ My head hurts too much right now to pull specific examples but vellaDonna is pretty much all bass, though this isn't the best example it's the only thing I could find on YouTube.

The way I look at it, is that Vulgar and Withering to Death are two albums that mark major shifts away from Visual Kei with Marrow of the Bone completely dropping any ties to Visual Kei. However, Withering to Death was when it felt that they began to really tone it down because during Vulgar I thought that they where still pretty visual.

I own a couple of CDs from these guys, they're really trying hard to appeal to fans outside of Japan. Their CD blooklets all include English translations of their songs. I think they did a show in Los Angeles and I remember seeing tour dates for shows in LA. Not sure if they ever did though since it's a pain in the ass to get an entertainment VISA in the US.

Ha funny, I actually just updated mine today. Someone years ago added me and some how created a profile for me using my personal junk email. So I had this account and ignored the site (marked it as spam) but decided to update my profile today on a whim. I've had some luck with Monster and decided to see if I get any calls from head hunters through Linked In. I'm currently employed though but networking and more contacts are always good.
  23. TheBistroButcher666

Haha, I didn't even notice that. I kept listening to the song but wasn't paying attention to the video.
  24. TheBistroButcher666

    It's pretty good!

What if we made a sticky topic listing CD shops with information about them? Also instructions regarding how to use shopping services? An easy to find sticky topic with all the information in one place might be a great resource for some people. And after reading about JrockTV, maybe a warning list of shading stores for people to avoid and also info on bootlegs and how to spot them. Japanese CDs are already pricey and I'd be pissed if I ended up paying Japanese prices for a bootleg y'know?
