I prefer the Western method, from what I understand a band will record a batch a songs all at once then slowly release them all as singles while doing massive touring to promote the singles and sell merch. It may differ from band to band but whatever the case, I prefer the Western method. Releasing a single every month with two songs for a year and then at the end of the year release an album with all the single songs again but in two types, one with a DVD and a new song and the other type with two new songs but one of them is an SE. That gets old. I know Japan isn't marketing this for Western fans and it's just some batty Japanese thing but my pocket book gets pretty annoyed with it. However the benefit to the Japanese method is it keeps you hooked and interested, many of my favourite Western bands I tend to forget about them until new material is ready to come out. Especially when it takes more than a year or longer to release an album.

Even if my final wish was to have a VK song played, if my parents are to out live me there is absolutely no way my mother or father would ever allow it. Even if the last words out of my mouth was "Play Parasite from Madeth" it'll never ever happen hahahahaha. Honestly I don't know what I would have played. I dunno :-\ I AM STUMPED

Eating meat is like the most metal thing you can do.
  6. Japanese songs only, I know many of us love our non-Japanese but lets keep it simple and stick to Japanese music. It doesn't have to be an orchestra per se, like a string quartet or whatever. I can think of some songs that would sound good but nothing that would sound great. Perhaps some Versailles songs but absolutely with no Kamijo and have their versions be strictly instrumental. Matenrou Opera might also be cool to hear done with string instruments, they already have stringy/synthy melodies in a lot of their music so it's easy to try and imagine it as that. Anyway, I was thinking about this on my flight but couldn't think of to many that would be totally awesome to hear. I was also listening to orchestrated video game music and hence where this thought came from. So what are your picks?

Ahhh Zess, you said basically what I wanted to say but I was afraid I'd make some people angry. It's a touchy subject, I had originally wrote a huge rant but thought it was pretty negative and mean so I just kept it brief and simple. I know that chart isn't completely accurate but I figure I'd pipe in and say I disagree with some of the items on that chart but agree with all the ones in the shit tier level. I agree with Chianti about information tech and that it should be up one or two tiers, also business, pharmacy and comp science should be pushed up too. If you're low level IT resetting passwords and doing simple dumb tasks, yeah that's low paying shit work but there's potential for good careers in IT. Please be aware people with shit tier majors but it's also how you use your degree or what you plan to also minor in. Psych degrees are usually scoffed at but imagine minoring in psych and major in marketing. Or a language degree with a business or marketing degree, especially Chinese, Russian or areas that have potential market growth. English also has potential to get you nice careers but if you plan to be a writer, remember being successful like Harry Potter is like winning the lottery. Technical writers are always needed. I think this is why I don't think students should rush to college, you have a narrow view of the world. Sure history and english were a big deal in grade school and they're good subjects but have limited use outside of school. In the end it depends on the person and the effort and work they put into it, a degree does not guarantee you a job and a Benz. I think I'll rant about loans and debt. I think people need to also be very aware of debt and what loans will and can do to you. If you're passionate about history and don't care what people think or say, that's great people should follow their passions. Just know that the 80k in loans you took is going to be a struggle to pay off. This isn't magic money that will go away YOU CANNOT GET RID OF STUDENT LOANS BY FILING BANKRUPTCY. If that's your plan, well you're going to be in a world of hurt. You cannot get rid of student loans period. You use to be able to file for bankruptcy and get them wiped out back in the 80s and 70s but it got so out of hand laws were passed to prevent people from doing it. So don't be retarded about it. So anyway, this shit isn't magic money. Live cheaply, only take what you need and pay it off quickly as possible. You got an extra $100 from grandma this birthday? Put it towards the loans. The faster you pay it off the better you will be. I go out to eat with someone that makes about the same as myself, I can order that $50 lobster tail and $12 glass of wine because I don't give a shit while my friend will order the $7 salad and a water because they have a $400 student loan due at the end of the month. I haven't finished my degree so paying off what I owed was easy so I know I had it easier than others and I understand that this might be harder for others. Yet I strongly urge that any extra cash you get, put it to the loans. So I'm kinda drunk but basically be aware that loans are serious business and you're stuck with that shit and it isn't going to go away.

I think one thing students may need to consider is their degree going to get them a job because a degree will not guarantee you work. This isn't the case for everything but when thinking of your major give it some thought. I have a friend with a Masters in History and he is working in retail and still living at home and I have another friend with a Bachelors in English working in a call center getting yelled at kids because their Xbox red ringed.

He makes up for it in the LOLs but I won't get into it, but there's some interesting tricks he's picked up during the time skip, I'm not sure how far into fishmen island you are but I think he's not so average now.
  13. Whoever takes metal seriously is doing it wrong, oh wait that's most metal fans The best part about metal is the cheese I mean look at this. LOOK AT IT. How can you take this genre seriously?? *edit* I also love how you described gothic-metal pretentious, I think that whole sub-culture is pretentious *snort*

The other thing that I didn't like about Thriller Bark is it's the arc they get Brook and his role seemed to be pretty insignificant. He got his shadow back and then he was just kinda hanging out on the side line, he wasn't even the one to get it back. It ended up being a Zoro fight. I like Brook but compared to Franky, Chopper, Usopp and all the others his joining of the Stawhats story was kind of lack luster.

QFT Especially about now rushing it. I'd seriously suggest not rushing it because all my bad relationships were ones that I kind of forced myself into because of the social pressure to have a boyfriend. Then when I realized that's dumb and broke up with those dumb guys and just lived a happy single life till I met my current boyfriend and things have been great!
  16. TheBistroButcher666

Usopp is my favourite. I'm basing off of lulz and that guy has probably made me laugh the most. I mean, remember in Skypia when he had that grappling hook attached to his belt? I don't know how I feel about this new tougher Usopp, I like the helpless cry baby Usopp. Oh as for arcs, my favourite arc is Alabasta and my least favourite is Thriller Bark. Fishmen Island so far is okay. Thriller Bark was pretty funny but Moria and the other villains weren't that interesting. However when Franky tried to force everyone to transform into a mech and Robin refusing because it was embarrassing had me in tears.
  17. I'm in the same boat, not a fan of female fronted metal bands since most of them are like a weaker water-downed Nightwish and I'm not much of a Nightwish fan to begin with. However if Zess says it's good then maybe it actually is but I'm still pretty leery.

I'll also probably just wait until the PC version is on sale on Steam or something to be honest. Once Skyrim comes out I'll probably be busy with it and considering my working schedule (and overtime that comes with year end) I will probably be able to drag it out until Mass Effect 3 comes out in March.
  19. TheBistroButcher666

True, it does keep my occupied on my commute into work. I just got done catching up in One Piece so it's like a subpar filler until more One Piece comes out. Anyway, Half Price had some humongous store wide sale last month but I generally stick to their clearance and pick up books that are $2.00 a piece. Yet, doing that has left me with a patchy collection of comics, I've had Fullmetal Alchemist for years and read the first nine volumes but I'm missing 10, 11, 12 but have 14, 15, 18, 20 etc. Amazon has a three for four deal and I should just go and pick up the volumes I'm missing and start the series over Ha!
  20. TheBistroButcher666

I'm replaying Mass Effect 2 but on insanity and rage quitting every 30 minutes. I don't plan to be a completionist about this play through but it's keeping me busy while I wait for Skyrim, I already have my perfected completed game that I will port over to Mass Effect 3. What pisses me off is babysitting my companions, despite micromanaging them the AI will sometimes have them do stupid things like wander out into the open and take six missiles to the face.
  21. TheBistroButcher666

Uggh, why does the PC version have to be delayed? It comes out after Skyrim and right now it would be perfect to keep me occupy as I wait for Skyrim.
  22. TheBistroButcher666

I'm reading Hunter x Hunter, Half Price had a big sale last month and I snagged the first eighteen volumes for less than a dollar each. However, I'm not really feeling this series, I'm only into volume four so hopefully it picks up once they get done with the exams. I don't really like the main character Gon either, he's pretty boring and feels more like a hallow version of kid Goku. His companions are more interesting than he is.

Wat Are you in Thailand? When I first heard about the flooding I had read about it in a business article but it was more concerned about prices for hardrives going up. BETTER FUCKING STOCK UP NOW!!! How will I ever build my fort made out of hardrives!? D:
  24. TheBistroButcher666

Thank God I don't date girls because I hate those stupid mind games chicks play. Honestly, if she isn't direct about it I wouldn't try to force it. Especially with her saying ,"it's good to have an online friend that is fun to talk to, I haven't had one of those in a while...all the guys I have had online all just have wanted to try and hook up with me." I'd honestly play it safe, better to not ruin a good friendship. If your advances are unwelcome it'll really make being friends difficult.
