man, those discussions there are so retarded, from both sides... don't want to jump into the battlefield there, but just a few thought about it on here, due to longness, text in spoilers wow that was kinda long

haha, was just browsing through the groups too didn't notice the contest until opeth posted it on their facebook, i'd have liked to vote for both honestly. never imagined they'd beat opeth but the DEG-flashmob once more was ruthless (lucky for them they got through the first round, since nobody seemed to have noticed by then...) if they were able to wrestle opeth down i imagine arch enemy might be manageable too (sure hope so, since i find arch enemy incredibly boring...)

Zess: interferencedemon (this is not really a review, more a grateful nod ) i wanted to do a review for this earlier but never got to it. just now i sort of listened to the whole thing "by accident", the tracks were lurking around in my winamp playlist and the player just feasted down the other tracks there to finally munch up this mixtape since i already knew most of the tracks on it i didn't really notice it went on, just that at some time i realized to be quite well entertained and had to look "what the heck is this?" the list has a nice flow to it, and in terms of sound and overall tonality and emotion it all fits together really well. pretty chill and dreamy actually even due to some of the quirkyness/noisyness and hectic to some/(most) of the tracks. i may have to check some of those bands out later on... thanks

it seems to get increasingly popular to make those kind of "in-studio-live"-sessions or to record one or two track from a liveshow and properly produce them and put them on youtube. a trend that i very much welcome!! most people might know them, if not inform yerself immediately great band, great track, great performance...

good news indeed² bad news is, judging by the background track of that teaser-video on the OHP the b-side might be "...beelzbub" symphonic ver. which judging by first listen and taking the the amon-symphonic into account will be Ear-Aids-Canceriffic garbage, but as long as it's just the b-side maybe i'm completely wrong tho and they just mashed that together for the teaser, sure hope so... also: inb4 commencing conspiracy-theories as for the blinding abscence of kyo in that latest promo-pic^^

o.O understandable, but usually a bad sign. but still in terms of recordingquality and/or sound in general [DIM] and everything afterwards was pretty much top notch so i'm pretty confident this one will sound sweet aswell. best thing is, they really care for the sounds they create (don't always succeed but still...) i mean, just look at this guitar rig from Aoi... thats some serious tone-hunting (not the quantity of stuff, but what it is, that KlON-Centaur distortion-pedal alone weighs about 600 bucks!! for a pedal!..) i do admit though (@bakteeri) that with stuff like this and money to burn you could be quite a tad more creative than the usual gazette-upbeat-rocksong... i hope the songs themselves don't suck that bad this time, but i don't have my hopes up high

you can hear a complete preview of the album on his soundcloud now! happy day...

great band, great promopic world's end girlfriend

lol yeah my god that would be awful^^ i regret having even once listened to that midified trainwreck of amon-symphonic

well no japanese bands, it's even hard to think of anywhere (it's not exactly "my" genre tbh so i don't know that much...) but those might be to your liking? get their EP legally for free here (or pay them a little, they're nice dudes...) http://aldorainedoom.bandcamp.com/

i think those are seconds and they roughly translate to 20 days... I don't think they're seconds either : P It's hours-minutes-seconds, so 177 hours or about a week. yup you're right, seeing the last two digets switching to 59 after 00 make this the most plausible, strange tho to count the hours instead of 7 days / 4 hours....

hasn't it been almost a year now? i'd be to soon for an album, a single is possible though, but i have to admit the pictures flashing in the background suggest something "live" but since they just released two DVD's/Bluray's i have no idea, livestream of concert?

OHMAGERD so much emotion!! zOfRtSW4dYE

yup, chase was my favorite from that performance too, on par with gravity. and while i agree that the "strong" single wasn't that great i really like the song played live....
-
that² forcing posts seems really strange to me, but well, it' up to the uploader, i just know that i won't go for these...

here's a rip from his recent "Day 1" - live Concert-Stream uploaded on vimeo seems to have been a cool performance, he is getting better and better with singing aswell Part 1 Part 2 (says 3 but whatever...)
