  4. Does putting "I OWN NOTHING IN DIS BIBEO" really do much on youtube? Or is that just cathartic for uploaders?

If you do not collect revenue from your channel then that prevents many, but not all copyright claims. If the label or distributor does not have the applicable reserved rights they cant rightfully have it removed.

Youtube doesn't really care though. Apparently it's very easy to claim copyrights for something, and it's not really being checked. There are a lot of copyright trolls on YT that register random bits of music with Youtube's content ID system in order to grab the ad revenue. I had a video of some old obscure jrock band taken down and the claim came from some TV station. I doubt they actually owned the rights to that. I also heard that CD Baby is claiming a lot of music sold on...

...their site as their own in order to get the ad money. Ie. the artist uploads their OWN music to YT, and CD Baby claims it theirs and gets the money generated from it. Basically, the system is seriously broken.

I think ratings are so subjective that they're useless, so I'll try to add a bit more than a scale. I liked his voice: it kind of gave me a Japanese O.A.R. vibe since it was kind of gruff, but soulful at the same time. This isn't the kind of music I listen to often, but that didn't prevent me from enjoying it. He also was able to sing in tune with the exception of a few seconds here and there, which is to be expected for a live performance. 9/10 This could be fun:

90% of all vkei music videos belong in this thread. They are literally nothing more than glamour shots and misplaced lip synching, mixed with blown out lighting and the same facial expressions used for the past 15~20 years. And that's what makes them all wonderful. Especially this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dfPL_e5HqE

Baiser also had a song called "Apocalypse" and Schwardix Marvally + Bro:nze a song called "Metamorphose." Megaromania, Chateau La Tour, and I'm sure a few others that I can't think of right now, have had songs called "Tragedy." Chateau La Tour, Renter en Soi, and GPKISM also share songs with the title "Metem Psychosis"

I found ID on Joshfriend's tumblr and liked it. I might try them out since my other metal-core guilty pleasure disbanded. (rip signal)

Laputa, D≒Sire (called "Jesus?") and Gackt as well! And to add to the Tsumi to Batsu list: Grieva has two songs on their upcoming album related to that, each one named with one of the kanjis.
  12. Peace Heavy mk II

Metis Gretel also had a song named "MASK." "Tsumi to Batsu" is also a common there. Dear L'Novel had an album named that, Endorphine had several versions of a song called that, and I've seen it as a theme for live tour names. Of course, Diru also had a spinoff of that name back in the 90s. Some version of "Miserable" is also fairly common: Hizaki, Gackt, Madeth Gray'll, and Lareine.

Sea Salt Popchips. They were good, but now my hand smell like them. A herd of llamas has 1000 llamas in it, and the population is growing exponentially. At time t=4 it has 2000 llamas. What is a formula for the number of llamas at arbitrary time (t)?

To answer how: yahoo.jp , mbok, ebay.jp, or finding small sites that sell things like Lucy's Pocket or Rarez hut. There's really no specific method to do this outside of Japan: it's seriously all luck based and being at the right place at the right time. Having connections also helps a huge deal, but being as I don't have any I cannot give an input on that.

Or maybe they spent $50+ on a CD that was given out for free at a concert with 1 song on it and, quite frankly, don't want it to be on every corner of the internet so your dying blogspot or awful tumblr gets more hits on a rinkydink visiter counter applet. And of course, they'll have to make another thread for the same thing because it wasn't ripped in lossless: I need to be able to hear the vocalist's spit hitting the microphone or music will not cure my cancer!! Of course there's elitism. The only way to get what you want out of people who don't like to share in order to feel good about themselves is to have something they want. If you want a live distributed album that was only pressed into 20 copies from someone in Japan who has it, you're going to need some collateral. Calling them a cunt on a last.fm shoutbox isn't going to change their minds either. tl;dr : people think they're holier than thou because they have certain things, but at the same time everyone else also feels super entitled to having everything and any quality as soon as they read a thread Trombe wrote saying it was maybe released maybe not who knows ~Privilege is a two way street~ Also echoing what Tokage said. The overwhelming majority of rarez really aren't good in terms of quality or even good songs. Sometimes they end up just being samples or members mumbling over an instrumental version of a song they already put out or, more often then not, they're samples of a CD that never gets released because they break up 5 minutes later. Additionally some things aren't even "rare," so much as people stopped caring about them for 5 years and all the links to it died.

I've been on a fair amount of dates last year, but it's not because it was a hobby (although, I guess based on the amount of time I spent trying to get to know people and then seeing them in person, I guess you could say it did add up to actually being a hobby...). I don't really have many crazy stories, but I did have a bad habit of not being ready for a relationship, mentally, which caused its fair share of problems. Whomever said "boys don't cry" has never tried to break it off with one (or several...). While I'm not exactly proud that that happened, I did need the experience of seeing a variety of different people to get a better sense of what I want out of someone I could potentially spend my life with. If I had to pick a craziest, I'd say it was the one time I went to a Chinese restaurant. I barely knew what the guy looked like and he didn't wait for me outside so I had to like...fumble around in a dark place to find someone who -looked- like they were waiting for a date to come in. After talking to him more, all of his stories were pretty much about how he got mad at someone, got drunk, and then did something to fuck up their life. One of his stories was about how he had to go to the bathroom in a class he didn't like and his teacher kept telling him "no." He said something like "Well then I'm going to shit on your projector or I'm going to get up and go" to her to resolve this conflict. I thought I was fairly charming, but I never considered telling such a quality story to someone whom I've just met. The best part, however, was when he was talking about a "hood rat" he had met while drunk who had a nipple piercing in the wrong way (she had it pierced vertically). He asked me if I knew what kind of piercing that looked like (he used that actual name for it, so I wasn't really sure), and when I said "no," he unbuttoned his shirt and showed me his in the middle of the restaurant. Oh. After that, he never texted me again which was because, I'm assuming, I wasn't very interesting to him. I never messaged him either because that's about the point in my life I decided I really wanted standards or something idk

Hyoga retired, afaik Misery didn't say he was retiring. From the looks of it, their first drummer retired as well.
  23. Peace Heavy mk II

Well that first line up and set list is pretty perfect.

I was waiting for that song to develop into something, but it just never seemed to happen? It all sounded like build-up to me. Relentless beat me ughhh give me a few to react to his post I like your example! It's very tumultuous and I can see how it fits into the theme of "The Ocean" that the album is based on. (Wait, "The Ocean" is the band's name? Je suis confused). I feel like I've been meaning to try out that album for some reason, but I forgot where I first found it. not metuhl but w/e

Lagna, Arlequin, Laybial (seriously, there's like 4 different bands with this name???), and Garden are some that come to mind.
