I haven't slept in 48 hours and my step brother's voice is driving me round the bend. If you've never heard a "Geordie" accent I suggest you YouTube it, imagine a boy whose voice hasn't broken elongating "mooooooooooooooooove" "DOOOOOOOWN" "NOOOOOOOOO" at dogs he's confusing the shit out of every five seconds and looking perpetually miserable while doing it. I want to smack him.

I was going to create a new topic about the photobook they announced last night but since it's virtually sold out already, I didn't see the point. 8D So yeah, photobook is coming out. No copies left at CDJapan. Bummer.

Well I called two PC repair / tech shops and both told me they wouldn't recover data for any less than £500, which is not the estimate I found googling around. Sadly although the data is important to me and some of it irreplacable, I can't afford to pay that and wouldn't if I could. It's outrageous. My only other option is the freezer trick then!

Should have kept the other ranty posts, I missed everything.

I blog all over the place! Some haunts I'm more active in than others. tumblr. Nothing interesting there. livejournal. Used to update a lot more than I do now. twitter. Which I suppose isn't blogging so much as spamming. I have an ameba account too but that's private, an abandoned dreamwidth account, and have been meaning to use my blogspot for video game reviews.

I'm a bit late, but I'd say rent at least. It's totally worth the money, though, really charming. Trying to get 100% achievement score on Alan Wake. It's a pain in the ass.

HEY. Congratulations to exist†trace, though. First all female visual kei band to go major? I'm so proud.

I like that you put quotes around expression of opinion.

I'll come back and explain the whys and whats later, but my personal favourites are puppet show and Chandelier. Short explanation right now: Chandelier was the one I started with and I feel it has a nice balance of heaviness, melodiousness, grittiness and... balladness. It's also the one I've had friends who don't listen to Japanese music borrow, results show most of them enjoyed it, so maybe it's more accessible in terms of listenability than their other albums. B-sides from this era were excellent too. puppet show because Circus More reasons when I get back I guess.

As long as you don't judge me too badly (_ _) And how about you, Will? How big is your e-penis today?

I'd like to be a mod because I'm a raging lesbian and probably more masculine that Will could ever dream of being. Also I don't talk down to the rest of the userbase. What about my self nomination?

You're right, but not at this scale. And especially when there was a more humane, cheaper method of killing them off. Besides, burying them alive could cause the infection to spread - if they are even infected - to the nearest water supply and contaminate it. It was a really stupid, disgusting decision on their part. It's sad that this is the method they chose, is all.

Really, Korea? Really. Seriously, this is so fucking barbaric.

How deep? The lady in my icon has some rock-based songs and her vocals (especially live) are quite deep, so it can't be too rare considering she's popular, can it? pDEPEexLbBQ

I think you're defining the word clean too literally; "clean vocals" is a common term in music, particularly (or exclusively?) in rock and metal. It means anything that isn't gritty, screaming, growling, screeching or whatever. Anything "melodic or clear" (see: this reference. It might not be a term widely used enough to have its own wikipedia page, but it is fairly common. But if I were to use your defintion... I'd still probably list most of the same people but remove any that smoke or drink. I don't know which ones do, but I suspect a lot of them. For "pure and undamaged," Hatis Noit is it for me.

Seconding Klipsch. Especially the noise-isolation ones that fit right in the ear canal. Expensive brand, though.

It's gorgeous (the beginning of it especially) . I'm so picky about long songs but theirs I can never get bored of. I'm surprised they don't have more fans because of the diversity in genre actually. I think there's only... four of us on TW?

I love them. ?? I found them by mistake a couple of years ago and was hooked from the get go. They deserve a lot more attention! Róka Hasa Rádió has to be my favourite release, though, and the two lengthy opening tracks are just mind-blowing imo.
