i don't think i've literally ever really enjoyed anything w/ that vocalist dude from Born / Razor in it, though that one kool aid dracula man song by born inexplicably ended up in my head somehow anyway

Splinter - Relatively modern monster movie/zombie movie (not quite sure how to classify it exactly). The premise behind the monster itself is actually pretty cool and at least somewhat original, although I kinda hoped they'd play around more with some aspects of it, such as the whole 'monster can attach infected body parts to other random body parts' angle. I'm glad they seemingly decided to go for mostly practical effects, that's awesome. The movie's definitely not ten outta ten material, but the acting is fine, and one scene actually somewhat managed to make me cringe irl, which is rare nowadays.

ppl out here gonna act like 90s band names like ✝Le+Rêve:DuCroissanT✝ are fine but a band using latin terms as album titles is too pretentious

Angel Heart - Took me WAY too long to finally get to this one. This was wonderful and hella atmospheric, although I kinda feel like a name like 'Louis Cyphre' is kinda laying it on a bit TOO thick, but whatever.

Alice Sweet Alice - Absolutely awesome and atmospheric little film, it's basically a giallo for all intents and purpose outside of the fact that it wasn't made in Italy, but everything about it just oozes with the same energy a good giallo tends to have. Very good stuff, stylishly shot too. I don't get some of the other reviews I've read deriding the film for looking cheap or whatever. The killer's outfit is probably one of the best 'slasher' outfits ever too, very simple but effective and creepy nevertheless.
