That wasn't particularly awesome... Or awful... Just kinda mediocre. Eh, it was only like what 45 seconds of the song? Can't make a huge judgement from that.

The full SV review can be found on my tumblr, but for those of you disinterested in so many words: Justice: Nothing Special. Nurashita: Interesting verses, generic chorus Otoshiana: Brilliant Helios: Almost as brilliant: Imperial Riot: Fuck autotune Mermaid: Great, less "epic" 21mg: An epic length track, but without that BS trying to hard MO feel Age: See above, but minus the length Just Be Myself: Amazing. Truly epic. Instrumental. Apoptosis: A toned down Helios, very good. New Cinema Paradise: Yawn Kizuna: Asleep Designer Baby: Crap. Overall I think I gave it an 8/9 out of ten because reasons. I still have a huge soft spot for this band even though the last few tracks weren't worth the gum on the bottom of my shoe.

Oh my God thank you so much!

Holy Tits. Versailles doing a Lareine sounding song?!?! Please excuse my boner.

FUCK YEAH!! Way excited!!!! No matter how it sounds, I'm sure I'll like it. I love both of their compositions equally. It's Teru's that are usually hit-or-miss with me, so I'm kind of relieved he doesn't have one on here. I'll be buying it on American iTunes for sure.

Ever the optimist that I am when it comes to some of my original favorite VK bands in the scene that I've loved since I've been... What 14? I really don't like to have negative things to say about the bands. I try... SO hard to look for the positive so what I'm GOING to say is: Wow! I'm really excited to be getting another 12012 album in the near future! I really can't wait to hear the whole piece and judge it solely based off of the quality of the full songs I listen to! But what I really WANT to say is: If this album is mostly this garbage, then I think I'm going to COMMIT suicide. That was atrocious. Absolutely dismal. And also, since I'm big into the Dance/Pop scene and I HATE the Lady Gaga/Madonna comparisons... I hate equally the Dir en grey/EVERYONE comparisons that go on in this scene, but I gotta say... Jesus Rainbow-Farting Christ it was like watching Dir's Saku video all over again. Sound AND video. For shame.

Tracklist: Amazing. Preview: Amazing. I love these guys, I love their consistency. If they weren't consistent, then I would have the chance to be disappointed if their new sound wasn't great. If they keep doing things like this I'll be constantly impressed. That's the way I look at it anyway *shrug*

Wrote a full review on my tumblr: ShanethVarosa.Tumblr.com But, for those of you who couldn't care less: My basic thoughts are that the album is fucking amazing, save for the average singles that were served to us. Really Really Fucking LOVED: Linear, Hanagasumi, Heavenly Tale, The Arc, Apocalypse (It's Not the End) Liked a lot: Gallows, Subete e Didn't like as much: Heart of Gold, Blue Flame, Niji no Yuki Special song I need to bring up: Hello, World Here's why: What the hell was this? I hate that I can't like it more, but there's this one part... It's like the very beginning and it's repeated once or twice throughout the song... With the guitars? It's just kinda weird and messy compared to the rest. And then the fact that he speaks the verses just doesn't sit well with me... but then DAT CHORUS. It's fucking brilliant! I wish I didn't hate everything else about it. Oh, but the end was really really well composed too... Ugh, mixed feelings are mixed.

The PV is pretty good. MO has a fetish for just standing there and performing their songs in PVs though... Eh, what more can you really ask for in terms of rock bands. Gotta make sure you get the whole band in there. Either way, I've been super impressed with their work recently. I know this album is going to turn out to be even better than Anomie.
-
This is definitely going to be interesting, keeping an open mind for this one.
-
FUCK YES. FUCK YES. I'm way too excited for this. I CANNOT wait to hear this.
-
I personally love the English lyrics. I hope that they are going to do a few of them on the album. It could use some work, but I do like listening to it. I'm dying for the titles of these singles, though, seriously.
-
It's okay, nothing that really grabs my attention, but it isn't bad. I guess this is the kind of music they're going to do from now on.
-
Very very very excited for this. Loving this darker theme and the tracklist sounds super bad ass. Looking forward to it!
-
Well, obviously, I fucking love this band and would buy their shit in a bottle if that's what they sold. So I'm excited regardless of my expectations. However, my expectations are at a medium level for this. I could never have low expectations for them, but Holy Grail was only mediocre. I enjoyed the album, but Jubilee and Noble were vastly better. I really hope their new singles bring something new to the table, something really beautiful I haven't heard before. With new visuals and a somewhat new theme. My excitement is growing.

I found the album to be totally reductive. I mean... It's been... years since their last album and they put on EVERY single they've released since then and only four new songs on their big comeback album... And of those four songs there wasn't anything mind-blowing or life-changing. I will say that the singles Chase, Nexus 4, and Good Luck My Way were really good and Shade of Season and Bye Bye were good new songs, but they did not strike me like the first time I heard Nexus 4.... Or anything on Kiss. What I want to hear is some great rock songs... Like Get Up and Angel Trip by VAMPS. That's where Hyde's voice shines the most I'd say. This album, a 6/10 maybe. Really disappointed overall.

Forever Love + I For You =

According to that list, Dir WILL be in Lancaster then? I'll be there.
-
Is Dir going to be at the Lancaster, PA show on this tour????? Because I will most CERTAINLY be going to this show if they will be there.
-
More Curse of Rose than Vampire Requiem. I'm dying to know what that Engrish is in the chorus hehe
-
I think the preview sounds pretty good. Not 100% great, but definitely impressive. The cover art, again, good not great. I find it better than Anomie's cover art (but of course, you can't judge an album by it's cover). I love the track list. I'm very excited. As ottsuga said, Matenrou Opera is one of my favorite bands right now. Their singles have been incredibly impressive. Helios and Otoshiana were two of the best A-sides of their career. This album is probably going to be incredible.
-
I think Kiwamu said recently that he won't be touring in the United States anymore? That makes me sad
-
FUUUUUUCK YES. I'm surprised I'm the first to respond. I love BLOOD. I can't wait to hear it. The last two singles were pretty decent.
-
Hmm. I will say I'm very excited, I feel an odd sort of connection to this band because I was born on the day their debut album released, so it's like... I grew up with them. And honestly, it isn't just that, their music is fantastic as well. But... A 20 minute song? I don't know. I feel like I could listen to 20 minutes of Matenrou Opera, X-JAPAN, and Versailles... But I always thought of Luna Sea as the guys who did brilliant things with 3 and 4 minute songs (Like Shine and Tonight). I will definitely listen to it though and I'm sure I'll end up loving it!
-
Trusty... Lol... My excitement for this is lukewarm. I really love this band and always hope they'll blow me away again, but the last time I was captivated by their music was Versus. Nothing has impressed me since, unfortunately.
