I'm gonna have to look at this when I get home later, I hope I remember!! I'm excited I hope this isn't as disappointing as the singles suggest.
-
This actually sounds really really great, best single release maybe since Sabbath. Hopefully the announcement is a new album, I would love the follow up to the amazing Emotional Karma
-
I dig the track list. Seems like it has a lot of potential. But I really hope those singles didn't represent the album well.
-
Unfunny and been-there-done-that jokes aside, I'm almost certain this will finally be the new album announcement. One of the articles Yoshiki posted recently said that Warner Bros is planning on releasing an X album early next year so this is probably confirming that for January or February.

While it isn't really anything special, it's definitely a fun summer rock song. Certainly not top-10-worthy though.

She's pretty basic anymore, but I still listen to her stuff. Killy Killy Joker was pretty decent so I'm definitely here for new music. Hoping that it's better than her other recent singles.

I struggle with my thoughts on this release because it isn't as bad as the previews made it out to be, but it's hardly memorable. I think Sono does have some powerhouse vocals on him when he wants to... But I just don't see him using them here. He tried to use them on Orb, but it just wasn't working. Being that Kassai to Gekijou no Gloria was the album I've always wanted to hear from them, it leaves me to believe that Avalon is going to be an enormous step down. Of the four songs released prior to this album, Dracula was the only good and memorable one and that was because it was SO different from what they normally do. As for this single, its really hard for me to even write a review. Tonari ni Suwaru Taiyou was pretty run of the mill, but the "shout it out" parts of the chorus were highly annoying and the rest of the chorus didn't make up for it. Main Cast was, as a whole, better than the A-side but it didn't leave a lasting impression. So all I can really say is that I hope the album tracks leave a better impression on me than the singles for the album. Stranger things have happened.

The PV is extremely been-there-done-that but I really like the song. It's well done for what it is....... *ahem* a been-there-done-that D song.

On the anniversary of Closer To the Truth! I am so happy!!! This news made my day. The album will be epic, definitely a masterpiece like Ada Suilen said.

Previews now available on deathgaze.jp and they are epic!

I'm really glad you liked it! Judging by the previews (and whole version of Yamiyo no Lion), I'll like it as a single too... But I haven't heard it in full yet as it hasn't been posted here. Is it online somewhere already?

The full version is incredible, I actually think this might be my favorite of his solo songs so far.
-
Oh that's right, I forgot.

Sounds really, really great. Cant wait to hear the whole thing except... I wonder if Unmei is JUST God Palace lyrics or if he just sampled it or something.
-
Really exciting!! I hope it's something down the lane of Say 1. His work recently has been some of his best and my favorite. Cannot wait!!
-
Sounds great! Can't tell which one I like more for now. Can't wait to hear the whole EPs
-
Excellent news that the album will be all new songs. I am really looking forward to this now. And the single is good news too. Can't wait to hear it.

Yeah I figured Cocoon was just Hora's song with Kaya singing over it. And ya know what it works. the production isn't that exciting but Laya sounds wonderful. And the new Succubus is pretty great. The peoduction anyway, Kaya's voice doesn't need that vocal distortion but what can you do it's a part of the song.

What an interesting commercial. The set for the video looks cool. I'm actually getting pretty interested in this EP.

This is going to be interesting to say the least. I think it's gonna be bad interesting but still.

Very exciting. I've missed this band doing new music.

I just got home from the bar and I'm listening to it now for the first time and so far, so good. Since my teen years I've taken a big step back from harder and heavier music. I don't listen to it AS MUCH, but I still appreciate it from lets say Dir en grey and Deathgaze as well as some others. Royz is an album I am just recently into as I liked a lot of their work on recent compilation albums so I decided to check out their newest album. That being said, seeing as this is so far an incredibly pop/rock/VK album.... It's really working for me. Revelation was a great way to start the album and I really like Shippujinrai a lot. Even more than Revelation tbh. Boogeyman definitely has its moments. It's got an excellent rhythm going for it, but the vocals are pretty uninspiring. If I'm being honest about it though, I would probably listen to it dozens of time for the composition and beat. I don't care for the screaming and frantic sound of Egoist. It certainly is far from bad or mediocre, but it's just not really my style anymore. Answer is a song with a pretty neat beat and rhythm which I find important in music recently. Something to really rock out to, and that's what Answer is. I see myself listening to this one a LOT. The intro to Final was pretty interesting and I can tell they composed the song well, but I really hate the vocal layering. Where he's like singing over recordings of him just talking. And it sounds just like I heard it before somewhere... OHHHH It was on the Conquest of Naniwa omnibus. Okay yeah I'll probably put this one on my playlist too then and see if it grows on me more. I can't tell what囁姫遊女 is romanized, so suffice it to say I copied it from Paradoxal's post. Anywho, I totally dig the dance vibe. I love dance music and I love it more when it's put into my VK rock music. I think the cross over of the genres is usually really interesting. But I actually do NOT care for it here at all. Baptism's intro is actually too frantic for me, it's too all over the place and the fact that this is a heavier song turns me off to it. I like Royz for their pop/rock sound and clean vocals. It's not that they do this kind of song poorly, it's just not my preferred style of Royz song. Lilia was actually quite a good single, but it does fit into that darker sound that I don't love from them. I could see myself listening to it more often than say Baptism, but the likelihood is that I'll put it on my iPad and forget it's even on there. Real World turned me off immediately upon intro. It was too messy, but I forwarded a little into the song and I ended up liking what I was hearing. I'm gonna go with a slightly above average rating for this and hope that it grows on me enough to really like it enough to get beyond the intro because the song as a whole is QUITE nice. Ivy being a power pop/rock ballad of sorts puts it in the lead as one of my favorite tracks on the album. This one was an excellent job and I feel the same about Idea. Great way to finish off an album I really enjoyed overall. My iTunes rating of the album is 5/5, so I would say I'm impressed! Gonna go vote in the poll I just noticed was here.

I got SO excited and then I was really, really let down. But I guess this is good for people who don't have these already.
