So, the issue here is, I'm not sure if you know....Wikipedia is not an encyclopedia, it is not taken as fact. It often has errors because it is written and edited by regular people. I humored you and I went and looked at this mythical re-release of Various that was never announced, AFTER the band decided to wipe their Youtube of any trace of its PVs. Wikipedia does state there was a re-release of the album with all tracks on Dimer, however when you go to the archived version of the Dimer link they cite, https://web.archive.org/web/20200726190344/https://dimer-tokyo.com/items/5e86add62a9a4236a3ca1f4d , you can clearly see the track list for the album that was listed is the same track list as the live limited release, NOT some re-release with "all the tracks" as stated in the same Wikipedia article. It's not even the track list for either of the versions that were for sale regularly, but the live limited version (aka NOT a re-release). My guess is that either they listed it by mistake and took it down, or had a few copies leftover they wanted to clear and took down the link as soon as they sold.

 

AS I SAID, this album has never been re-released. It's fine to be wrong but to be this hard-headed is just UGH. I stand by my statement, you are wrong about everything. It's not a personal attack.

 

ETA: I went ahead and made a friggin Wiki account to delete the inaccurate and misleading info about a re-release. You are welcome.

You seem to be really angry to me. Anyway I'm confused who to believe, the person who created their Wiki page or you. While Wikipedia is an all access, it's heavily edited by, well editors lol. So I'll wait if what you deleted gets written back up since no editor removed the complete Various edition for months, while the main entry of the band got edited a couple of times in the same time frame. 

Btw, I did go by the Wiki article, because Various disappeared before I remembered to check the tracklist. But how did you unearth the listing even after it got deleted?

You didn't see it on Dimer? I saw it and someone on this thread did confirm he/she saw it on the site.

Wikipedia also mentions about the complete Various re-release. How the heck you missed the news?I wasn't even a member here when it was being discussed last May lol.

The band did try to re-release it. It was also supposed to be the complete Various.Or it just sold out real quick, but the longsleeve shirt that sold out is still on the site, just tagged as soldout,while Various disappeared from the site.

Cheodora (and Rijin) is in stock at Dimer Tokyo, just look for a proxy service that'll ship to your country. They did reprint or was supposed to reprint Various but it quickly disappeared from Dimer, so maybe Issei gave them a nice phonecall about reprinting albums he wrote. 

Retsu posted a q and a on his IG story, most are in Japanese though bit there are a few in English, like he doesn't listen to tech death metal (which is a weird question because he had never listed a tech dm band as an influence).

Edit nvm it's not available on CDJ. If it's still available in the Dimer store you can use proxy services like Tenso.

Dude. Most people would be fine with a dissenting opinion supporting the band if that's all you were doing. Most people here, I assume, either like or liked the band and are making fun of them a) light-heartedly or b) because they are, as a matter of fact, managed horribly and making a ton of really big  mistakes. It is your right not to agree with those jokes and to not care about how they are behaving, but you have no right to mock and berate every person who feels otherwise. Some people have spent a lot of money on the band and have followed them for years, many going to many shows in Japan and they have the right to feel betrayed- that isn't for you to judge. I assume you've never been to a live show and probably download all their shit for free- people like you usually do. You can't seem to let people have their own conversation and opinion without you. Not to mention, what really doubled up the cringe for me is that you seem to think Retsu reads/cares about your DMs and that you somehow have an influence on the band (pro tip, a READ receipt doesn't mean he actually read it, just opened it to get rid of the notification. Nobody has time to copy pasta that English shit into Google Translate and if YOU sent the DMs in Japanese with auto translate I guarantee he has no idea WTF you are saying either). Saying that Retsu basically posts stories TO answer your DMs, that the streaming live is somehow your idea (I guarantee you it's not, lol)...you are basically acting like one of those crazies who thinks they are having a relationship with a public figure but that public figure has never even heard of them. It's not sane. If you just "liked the band" and posted some messages praising them, even debating negative ideas with GOOD arguments that would be fine. But "oh last time I DM'ed Retsu he posted a story, sooooo" and  "Oh gawd Retsu I didn't mean Youtube Premium, teehee" is so embarassing to listen to, honestly.  You're going to say you are joking but be honest, you're not.

 

As for the blocking, it's tacky, period. Nobody in a professional setting should do this. They want to gain an audience overseas but people overseas take stuff like this to heart and don't want to support bands that act that way. The VK scene is dying in Japan, they need all the foreign fans they can get and foreign fans, unlike bangya, care about the music, care about the business aspect and will speak out when unpleased. That is no reason to fucking block someone. Also, nobody cares that you don't care that nearly their entire foreign fanbase is upset at their behavior. You are one person. Nobody agrees with you. Why do you even feel the need to respond saying you don't care about other people's opinions as though anybody asked you to care in the first place? You are not in the band, get it? The sad thing is you don't just stop here, you go spreading misinformation (like that Retsu is in NY signing a record deal or endorsement when that pic is several years old...) on Reddit as well. You need to back off and stop this crap. If anything, you make them look really bad. Sho has sns??? Anyway past members are past members, as long as Sho and Hiroshi gets along with Retsu that's the only important thing. Read the JaME interview if you haven't,Sho and Retsu is like on the same wavelength and a pass interview in Japanese (when Ryuya was still in the band,I think on Toppa) how both mocked the vk scene lol.

I actually acknowledged that Retsu isn't a good businessman,he missed additional income oppurtunities by not releasing bonus le stuff to force fans to buy multiple copies of Cheodora, Rijin and Misc.

Why? Well, Rijin was already a move into something not really metalcore or anything Dimlim used to be. And the two songs I mentioned above are sort of a nice continuation in that direction.

 

BUT. The whole album on it's own is a mess. All of the other songs have no memorable parts whatsover. The only thing I can recall from other songs is Sho's whiny "for the future" outro from the same song. And it's not because other songs are with complex structure or "math-rock" (hell no) inspired that makes it difficult to memorize. It simply is an uninspired pile of garbage that Lets for whatever "essense"-tial reasons decided to release as an album.

I like a almost all the songs, I only dislike To Fool. Out of the darkness, Lament, What's Up, Before it's too late,Tick Tack, Take me out,For the future are great songs that got stuck on my head. My only criticism is that Retsu should had dusted his S7G in a couple of tracks like Before and For the future instead of using his Tele on all the songs.

How are you guys sure Retsu runs the bands official pages btw? The official pages English are actually good while Retsu's post in English on his sns is prone to grammar and spelling mistakes.Another reason I don't think he runs the pages is someone alleged that he or she got blocked by the official Twitter just by asking if they have plans to release Various digitally, but I asked the same question on Retsu's sns and he didn't block me.

Lets brought this on himself with his complete lack of self-awareness and people skills. Their fans started making fun of them for not having a bassist only because Lets is doing his best to pretend that it's not an issue. One tweet going "we're looking for a new bassist please be patient kittekudasai and sunimaseenn" and no one would mention it ever again. 

Under normal circumstances I would have no sympathy for entitled gya either, but Lets should be aware that if you get backlash for something from the people you depend on, the solution is not to double down on everything that got you the backlash in the first place while blocking people left, right and center. I don't have anything against such an abrasive outsider art approach to PR either, but it's obvious that they still rely on those fans to even have a career. It's indisputable that all the people who bought their tickets in America are weebs and I won't listen to anything saying otherwise.

 

If he just made one self-deprecating tweet about this whole thing then it would all be over and people would stop shitting on them and go on waiting for new music, but no, Lets is his own biggest mark and he'll instead focus on the E S S E N C E, which is biting the hand that feeds you. People didn't shit on Yeti when Emiru moved on to play indie rock for a non-vk crowd. If they didn't do this shit and have their one-member street team here, then this topic would be dead. Now people are just enjoying the ride before it crashes.

They are more known for their experimental side and creativity, but they are more appreciated outside the vk fandom because some got butthurt they or their friends got blocked in sns or they stopped adhering to the vk aesthetics and marketing or how they kicked out of the band the least talented but hottest member lol. I'm saying this because those that are not vk fans that discovered them can only say wow or how outstanding their songs are and were wishing they dropped the makeup because they are too talented for the gimmicks lol.
