I always thought this Vivid was a Mandela Effect/Hallucination where I thought I misremembered some old school band as having the same name as ViViD but nah, they are real. I think I just witnessed one of the cheesiest PVs in Visual Kei history but the song's kinda a banger tho 😳

From my understanding this one is a licensed sample but when I found out about I thought it was pretty cool, that synth line certainly didn't sound like their usual production. The main synth line in 念力 borrows from you can hear it at the 1:27 mark Also, I don't think anyone's mentioned this particular one here yet but the main riff in ３月５日。sounds like the chorus in Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box" ^0:29 ^2:07

Sometimes I wonder what VK would be like if instead of having band names like →△○～悲しいRoNrIiΚιð§～〠 they had generic rap names like Lil, Big, etc... Lil Diru, Lil X, Lil Larku... Yeah, that puts things into perspective for me, sometimes you gotta take the good with the bad.

Yeah Last.fm doesn't really record any official information other than the song length to determine when it can be counted as scrobbled. That's about it. You can literally tag whichever artist and song title on any video you want via web scrobbler and Last.fm will have no choice but to treat it like it's legit. I just scrobbled "Yoshiki Farts Into the Microphone For Four Minutes" by X Japan off of the "Super Secret New Album Demotape" just to prove my point. update: I added some artwork to make it even more official *chef's kiss*

I always thought shipping real people is gross, even when I was younger. I do like to see band members with strong, healthy interpersonal relationships though. You know, being able to make edgy jokes, sharing food and going out to eat, working through roadblocks like sickness or multiple side projects. It's fun to watch behind-the-scenes stuff where they're clearly comfortable with each other and are great friends. A good inter-band relationship adds a lot to the band because even if you have an absolutely legendary but soulless, only-here-for-the-money group they're still gonna be less of a fun show than some noobs jammin' out together. Nothing sucks more than having a member who looks like he'd rather deep-throat his own guitar stock than be in the same room with the other guys (and I have seen guys with that look/body language, multiple times).

I mean, it's a dumb pun sure ("shi" is "4" in Japanese, so it's "Four As") but I don't see it any different from a Western band with a name like AAA (pronounced "triple A")

There's just something about the fact that when given the technology to fabricate people saying anything (which can be used for unfathomable malicious purposes) the internet decided it wants to just use it to make memes sing a song from a Japanese video game. A small shard of my hope in humanity has been restored.

As of today, I have a total of 62 VK CDs in my possession. I chronicle what's in it on my collection share post entry and on my vk.gy account. The main bulk of my collection are Malice Mizer and Plastic Tree (trying to complete my collection, I'm getting close with MM but trying to complete Pura's discography will be the be the death of me I swear) but because I like a lot of artists, I have 1-2 CDs from a bunch of different bands that I really like. My collection basically tripled due to quarantine spending, which is kinda nice because it was even smaller before (something like 20 or less CDs if you don't include the western ones I had) and is now big enough where I feel comfortable with its size. I have stopped spending on it to save some cash for university. Good lord knows my textbooks will probably cost more than all of my collection combined. If you include my (extremely tiny) western collection then it comes to 71 in total. I also have some VK photo/interview books as well but I don't really include them in my collection count (except for on vk.gy), they're their own thing. If it matters, I have 3 on me (all Malice Mizer related) and I plan to add some more.
