In fact I think one is holding back the other. Would be better to have a singer-instrumentalist duo but it seems like koichi is taking charge of 8P-SB, so 🤷‍♂️

Wouldn't know which song to rec you for mejibray lol, I only listen to anemone but that's only clean vocals.

I see, I'm from somewhere near East Asia so this sentiment was rather unexpected to me.

imo they felt misunderstood, whether be it by the public or the (straight) politicians pushing the issue on behalf of them. iirc they were interviewed at a pride parade so I don't think keeping status quo was their goal, but was more concerned about the means of going about it.

Same here. Also the lyrics for some of them are cute lol.

I think their newer release is better too, though chip tune may not be to everyone's taste. That being said, I never liked mejibray's music but genki's voice change is a loss!!!

I guess my unpopular opinion is that I'm glad 8P-SB exists lmao. Genki and koichi seem much happier, for one. Music is sometimes a train wreck, but I'm sure they'll eventually get their shit together (<--another unpopular opinion?)

East Asia in general treats lgbt as humor, unfortunately.

iirc, interestingly, some japanese lgbt people have said that they do not think bills for equal rights should be passed now as the jp populace doesn't really understand lgbt, or have misconceptions, even though there were some politicians pushing for equal rights. This was some years ago though.

Often I find the bl fanservice in vk to be....awkward, to say the least. Feels exceedingly contrived with an undertone of reluctance. If you're going to do it then just go all way and act properly dammit! the half baked-ness adds to the cringe.

I thought the kaitou example was just jewel(juex? I don't know his name lol) trying to expose kinoko's thighs for fun lol.

Really liked it! the dance(?) is cute too.

Nice to see him being so upfront about it, and I'm glad he's happy with it.

Knew of VK previously but only checked it out recently, it has definitely changed somewhat from what I remembered. didn't expect chekis to be a thing, for one. 

Looking for recommendations too since I have only gotten a few songs from almost every band I came across. The only exception is codomo dragon which  is my favorite right now. I prefer clean singing, though some growls/screaming is ok too. I prefer Dimlim's latest single over most of Chedora, for example.

I really like: Ningen isu, most of kizu, gulu gulu's single, and like 3 arlequin songs lol.

Songs like Henry by ZZooo are cool with me too!

Non-japanese bands are fine too - looking to expand my repertoire!

Same here. I only listened to it once, but iirc the violins overpowered the guitar? imo it was too much. The original melody was good in a sparse way.
