I personally don't like clack.inc previous works, just not my type of sound, still surely not a bad band. The sound they pour out sounds good. However the member change made me want to check out their new work ASAP. Can't stand it that they still didn't publish any preview or anything yet o(>o<)o

Thank you for the interview! I was hoping I'd get a mention since I did send questions for it... but I really enjoyed reading the interview regardless, the questions were great and the replies even better! I love these guys to death and I think they were able to convey their charm very well in this (Takeru and his randomness lol)
 
The fact that they seem to care about overseas fans so much to plan to release their live-limited song digitally made me so overjoyed! I really wasn't expecting it... what a nice surprise!
 
If they do, please everyone take a listen, I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Their music is amazing and it's time for them to get more recognition in the west!

Why did we choose this band for an interview?
CLACK inc. is maybe not the most popular or best band around (for some of us), but if a band changes their members it's always interesting to dig in them a little bit. I'm also glad that Jae_agent33399 helped us with giving a good direction of questions we could ask. 
Looking at the history of this band and members and current members it's a good band to have interviewed too, because hey it's interesting what they have been up to and if they can hit more people hearts!
 
Because this band starts a new area I won't share their music in this topic.
 
Still I hope that people are exited to discover more about their upcoming single. I'm looking forward to it!

DIMLIM disbands b/c the band is unstable af. Sho will move onto another non-vk deathcore band (probably in the following year) that gets super popular. ACME, contrary to their current "wE aRE VisUaL kEI" messaging, will continue to dip in the BMTH playbook and become less "visual kei" as the year progresses whilst continuing to play random anime-con gigs overseas. After two releases, everything starts to lull out before they go for one really "off brand" concept, they end up disbanding by the end of the year b/c of musical differences. R-Shitei won't get back together for at least 5 years. Mamo becomes a soloist and continues to sell clipped fingernails to gya like traditional chinese medicine.  CHOKE chokes. the Raid. and アルルカン release the same song for the 5th year in a row... -and the crowd likes it b/c of stockholm syndrome the songs aren't bad at all tbh  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Smileberry disbands b/c using barely edited stock images for album art is a bad sign late-game. Also that last music video, yeesh. Yo_shiT makes a return to visual kei... maybe to do some production stuff for ダウト. As for an actual band, a man can dream. not good enough!
Yoshiki collaborates with a K-pop group... or a shitty J-pop group masquerading as a K-pop group. Somehow gets in close proximity of the Pope (as mentioned above) and yeets his hat off to reveal the new X album balancing on top of his bald head like the prospects of a new X album. One band being involved in a car accident or a member getting caught with weed. More visual kei vocal talent is leeched off into the utaite and vlogger world, b/c YouTubebux.  SID and Acid Black Cherry return with releases. ...

As much as we would like that VK worked like western pop in terms of marketing it's never gonna work and it's pretty futile to argue over a what if. That is the reality of Japan's culture and we've seen how reluctant they are to mingle with the west, much less adopt their customs.
As an example, Dobe did it right when engaging with the fans and easily supplying their music to the international fandom and for a while everyone was super vocal about them. Then the second Suica was fired no one was hyping them anymore. Merch or no merch involved,  teens just don't get invested beyond a cute member and/or lyrics that speak about their struggles (hence why they get popular easily among menhera chicks in Japan).
As someone who has co-organized tons of fan projects that require little to no monetary effort, what I've experienced is all those social media fans who talk non-stop about X or Y bandman disappear once you ask them if they want to take 10 minutes to write a message for a fanbook they won't even have to pay for. They generally don't care for any fandom activity beyond hyping looks and that drives away newcomers interested in music.
 
Is there any way for bands to market themselves (while remaining VK) to make people interested enough? I doubt it. Even for popular artists the fans who are a little bit more invested are a lot fewer than the ones who just comment on who was on Taylor's latest videos and leave it at that. Kpop artists do thrive on sales and western ones I'm willing to bet they live off advertisement rather than their music since everyone streams it to the point where music is their platform to jump to some unrelated brand to sponsor them and actually give them cash.
 
I see your points, however I disagree with artist seeming more unattainable. They are FAR more attainable and approachable than any mainstream artist. 
 
I'll agree with you on the elitism part, but not quite regarding sharing rare material.
 
Edit: something else came to mind. Most of the world is pretty casual about listening to music and won't go out of their way to even go to a gig. What makes people care on a deeper level about it? Habit. An early exposure and thus attachment to artists. Some sort of connection and/or the music somehow filling some void (hence why people tend to get harder into bands during their 10's and 20's). I think we can all assume that the more attached we are to an artist (whatever the genre, think about beliebers and directioners) the more fucked up we are somehow. It's been widely debated in other threads the common 'fucked-up-ness' most vk listeners had when encountering it and getting themselves attached to what we all agree is mostly crap we hate to love. That might just be another barrier. The rest of the world just doesn't have that hole in their hearts (mental health) that fits VK perfectly.

Also, I would like to point out that guitarist Vaku and drummer Lyiek have left, so ex Art Elicia Kenbo and ex Veinrot Avel joined. +Yuu switched from bass to guitar, so now we have Avel as bass and Kenbo as drums.

The tl;dr version is that because Sana joined Unite very shortly after EVE's breakup, obviously it lead the speculation that this played a huge role in EVE's disbandment.

At first listen, the impact isn't impressive as their first MV, but I find both songs pretty solid.
 
"Anesthesia" has a lots of good moments, especially that breakdown towards the end in which Nao really shines. but overall it kinda feels a bit...disjointed? In some parts Nao sounds slightly pitchy even, which is a shame because I consider him a really strong vocalist and I like his voice a lot. The chorus is a bit predictably pop-synthy. But overall I quite enjoyed it. Maybe it's gonna take me a couple more listens to really get into it, but it's not bad at all.
 
The second one is a bit of a departure from their usual sound, but it's quite fun.  The jazzy-electro swing vibe is really catchy and and Nao's vocals are on point. Defintely enjoyable, even though I kinda prefer stuff like the first one from them.
 
But yeah, their style is defintely up my alley and I keep on digging them quite a bit, they're definitely a band to keep an eye on.

I'm gonna throw my thoughts into the void just because.
 
So far I like the MV song the best, I love the heavy riffs and it sounds like it's gonna be a banger. Also looking forward to seeing the video properly, I can't get over Takeru's swag lol
 
"インソムニア" looks like it's gonna be an emotional one, the vocal performance truly is beautiful and sounds like it's gonna be the ballad/mid-tempo of the bunch (even though there are synths in there so we'll see)
 
"一撃" 's chorus reminds me a bit of the EVE days, or rather, a CLACK/EVE fusion. I like its energy and the catchiness.
 
Looks like there may not be harsh vocals in this, but we shall see. Honestly, as much as I like Takeru's growl, I don't think it's necessary at all, especially for the more melodic direction they've been going. His clean singing style is unique, dynamic and full of emotions without having to go overboard, which sets him apart from many of his contemporaries.
 
What can I say, I really love this preview and looks like it's gonna be a solid single, I'm so looking forward to it and I hope others will give it a shot as well.
