Well, it's gonna happen. I'm gonna have to buy a Switch next year. Finally, I'll fucking do it, if only for this. https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/animal-crossing-new-horizons-switch/

It looks good. I've never actually played the Fire Emblem games for 3DS because they always did that fucking annoying thing of releasing two versions of the same story in separate games which really turned me off because I never knew which one to go for. They finally release a game on its own aaaand it's for the Switch, which I don't have πŸ™ƒ I'll probably get one next year, though. A new Animal Crossing game is coming out on March 20th, 2020 and IIII NEEEEED IIIIT
  3. It didn't work, I might add.

According to what I learnt in my psychology class, they're socialised differently. They tend to be separated from their mothers far less often and, as a result, they also tend to be clingier. I guess their collectivist, family-oriented culture would add to that. As for annoying/unruly/loud/problematic in general, I'm not too sure.

Thank you!! Sadly we had to cancel all of our plans because it was raining heavily all day long but it still was a great day :)

  6. Reminds me of when I was out for a walk and saw a guy shredding on a sitar. He was great, I sat and watched him for a full hour and a guy sat next to me tried to get me to go on a date with him right after telling me I had tiny feet. And that wasn't even a dream! I did, however, have a weird (yet relatively mundane) dream last night. I'm going to a convention today and I dreamt that I was living with my grandma and she kept giving me weird useless things to pack that were mostly food. I remember her giving me a lunchbox full of milk chocolate and white chocolate buttons and a bag of kale. Y'know, in case I started craving kale. This is the best way I could sum it all up: Here's hoping I won't need my angry eyes.

None, I was just commenting on how funny the Bat Ladder was. It was just a plain old rope ladder with a sign on it.
  8. Gesu

Batman had a Bat Ladder and it was the greatest, most superheroic invention ever. Look it up.
  9. Gesu

Agreed, what Superman needed was a Bat Ladder. Not even joking.

Maybe she enjoyed his company? I don't condone sexual assault (or any kind of assault) in any way, shape or form and if this guy really did assault her, that's awful. I don't know if he really did or if she was overblowing the situation because I wasn't there but the "they had it coming" mentality is a bit victim-blaming. Consent not only means you agree to it; it also means you can stop at any time. If she decided she wasn't comfortable with him touching her, even if it wasn't full-blown assault I could still understand why she would get pissed if he continued. I agree with you that is it up to them to take their safety into their own hands and that we should teach people to avoid dangerous situations instead of teaching people not to be dangerous (because really, it's a bit useless to tell a potential assaulter not to assault someone) but you can still spend time with someone who's sexually interested in you and expect them to not pounce on you. Like I said, I have no way of knowing if he really did it, the full context, exactly how far they went, what she did and didn't consent to and yada yada, but still.

I agree that it's ridiculous for someone to think people finding them attractive is sexual harassment but it's not very nice to call them whores, or at least to say they're dressing/acting like whores just because they wear short skirts or whatever.

@monkeybanana4 @spockitty Unfortunately, Sweet School Life has only been released in Japanese. I know, it breaks my heart too. πŸ’”

Thank you, I will! I'll be sure to take a drink with me. I'll also get some there because they do some really nice drinks! I've gotta get some of that blue raspberry ramune if they do it again this year (as I'm sure they will) because I bought some last year but because it came in a glass bottle, it fell out of a rather inconvenient hole in the plastic bag the vendor gave me and shattered on the floor on the way home. I've gotta put it in my own bag this time! >.< And yeah, the lines do tend to be really long. I can't remember how long I was waiting to buy snacks last year but at least there are lots of cool things going on to distract you while you wait.

An anime/gaming convention! It's the same one I went to last year and it was so much fun, so I've just gotta go again.

A new camera. It didn't cost me much but the quality's pretty great, so that was a win-win. I just told the guy in the shop I wanted sth with a decent enough quality for pictures alone because I'm going to a convention on Saturday (my second one and I'm so excited~ ) and my iPod camera's a bit buggered because there's a mahoosive crack over the lens. Just tested it out and it's perfect. Β£28 well-spent!
  17. I'd just like to chime in and say that is really interesting and actually makes a lot of sense. I say this because I've always been of the notion that dreams are just that and have little to no hidden meaning to them but you may be starting to convince me otherwise, in which case I'm buggered because my dreams are like Junji Ito and Noel Fielding co-wrote something together. I can't imagine what trouble that spells for me. πŸ˜•

I want to work with children in the future (as a paediatric therapist) so it's a relief to know they tend to take you more seriously than adults do. That being said, I'll probably be working with their parents too and it's them I'll most likely need to get through to more than anyone. I don't want them looking at me like I'm their kid bossing them around. πŸ˜•

Agreed. Besides, it's better for the environment as it leads to less plastic being strewn about on the streets/in the ocean.

I'm 151cm and I also have a high voice but mine's somewhat loud (not shouty, just... well-projected, I guess) so it makes me sound like a rambunctious toddler. I don't think it bothers me nearly as much as it used to because I think it's been long enough that people actually take me seriously now (that and I started wearing makeup which makes me look older), but it's something that I'm always reminded of. Oh well, I'm the same height as you in heels so I guess that's not too bad seriously, 157cm makes me feel like a giantess.
  21. This is really fucking good. It sounds like boss fight music, like all the best neoclassical power metal.

@spockitty I'm nineteen next month and I still get mistaken for a little girl (people usually guess around twelve, fourteen if I'm lucky). I'm pretty sure I've mentioned my diminutive stature and baby face/voice many times in the past but it's so difficult for me to ignore it because no-one else will no matter what.
  23. It's roughly on the same level, athough the characters are admittedly more diverse in their personalities but then there's that dumb "boring hero, demure princess" type thing going on that really reinforced that cliched story for me. It wasn't even that bad tbh, it was just so unremarkable. That's the thing with a clichΓ©. You can never go wrong but you can also never go right. I dunno, maybe I'm being a bit harsh but it just really wasn't for me. You might like it but idk.
  24. I guess it depends on whether you're a more visual or auditory thinker. I'm very auditory for the most part and I'm only ever visual if I need a concept explained to me (for example, a diagram to explain the uncanny valley or cynicism vs scepticism would help me more than simply stating the definition).
