Second, my information about the word "Rasetsukoku" was simply meant to educate you on its meaning, as that is what you were asking about, if I understood your post correctly. So no, the term does not have to do with Japan's geographical location, but with its neighbours to the West. Skimming over the link you provided, the website deals with archaic Japanese geography (as in, the way Japan saw their surrounding world), where Rasetsukoku obviously is a part of. In regards to the Russian imagery: Deity is not a Russian-titled song. I said that the term "deity" phonatically resembles the word "deiti", which is the Russian word for "child(ren)". Then, to answer your new question: What is a "foreign country theme" to you? If it's just the title, then there are a lot of foreign country themes on all albums, since no album is strictly Japanese in its song-titles. If it's also about the lyrics, then there are no foreign country themes on GAUZE, because there is not a single song that has entirely non-Japanese lyrics (if we go by "Deity" being the basis for having a foreign country theme).

What does the latter half have to do with DEG?^^

Yes, the South-Korean version is remastered, from what I know. There's also an unmastered version, but I wasn't able to win the auction to buy it ._.

My music is sorted like this: In regards to tagging, since I'm kind of an order-whore, I try to keep everything as accurately as possible. I recently removed all genre-tags from my music, I try to keep everything in its intended capitalisation (Dir en grey vs DIR EN GREY vs Dir En Grey), the releases only have the original release name - and I puke when I see the tags on last.fm, shit like "DUM SPIRO SPERO (Deluxe Edition) [CD 2]". For VA releases, I usually only keep the relevant track (Embryo Burning, for example, in DEG's case) and put it into the correct folder. As you can see, I also put related artists into the main-band's folder (such as Kyo's poem book CDs), but I might change that, now that I noticed it^^ For terekos, I put them in a folder named after the date and location they were recorded, but the album tag is the name of the tour/event. @MamoMasquerade demo-tape, the one with the white cover. Not sure if it's the correct name, though.

I don't think that's his point, tho. There's a difference in being interested in a band bc of their members and being interested in a band bc of their music. You can be both, of course, but if your interest in the members overshadows your interest in the music to the point that you literally think you're the vocalist's fiancee, know what they're feeling or read each and every tanuki post about them, it's just weird and obsessive. The people who are like that are also more than often the ones that scream "Kyo-sama" or "Die-chan" or whatever at their concerts, at any possible point, especially during moments where the crowd is supposed to be quiet (in Rinkaku, for example). It's just agitating as hell. Same for the Germans. Especially since it's pronounced "anko~ru". :^)

I asked a tanuki tumblr about it a few years ago and she said that these names are true, according to tanuki. But that's all just rumours, of course.^^ I don't really care about the band members, either. I just know that Kaoru confirms his name in Haiiro no Ginka vol. 0 and his book Dokugen, and Shinya in Haiiro no Ginka vol. 0, too.

I'm amazed at how widespread those wrong names like Tooru Niimura or Nishimura are, tbh. I wasn't into DEG at the vkei-craze (06~08), but whenever I read posts from that time online... Western bangya are scary, man. I think I probably dislike (or outright hate) 99% of the DEG fanbase. I just read a certain person's tumblr and there are so many things about Kyo's feelings and whatever, some people claiming to be his fiancee and other weird shit. Those names are/were thought to be real on tanuki some years ago. I've yet to hear any update. This is the source for "Nishimura Tooru", btw: Dunno if it's from a KERA magazine, though. Also, the name lacks furigana, so there's multiple possible ways to read it. Funnily, "Niimura" is not one of the readings, no idea where that name comes from. The only actually confirmed names are "Kaoru" and "Shinya", as in, only the first names. I've also read that Kyo sometime confirmed that his last name is "Nishimura", but well, no real source for that.
