  1. Does anyone know of any good Korean folk-metal bands other than Gostwind?

I always wondered what happened to Yuki and Fumi of La'Mule. I also wonder what's happened to Shion of CrowXClass. (all the other members minus Kurona and Hibiki just returned to what they did before: Playing in regular traditional ensembles)
  3. They've also been playing/are planning to play some lives, because Kasumi has been tweeting some live-dates
  4. Himeaimichu

I personally like how passionate he is, despite the tiny crowd. I mean, hell, if only 3 people attended my concert, I might as well give them my all, since they cared enough to show up lol
  5. I'm not sure where to find any, but I'll look when I have more time. (Sadly, good ol' reliable Evil en Lucifer had some dead links lol)
  6. Himeaimichu

Not to compare too much to Narcolepsy, but Narcolepsy usually gets more attendance at lives.
  7. I miss JyuLie so much. The Traditional Japanese theme, and their fucking amazing support drummer. SERIOUSLY, look at this guy:

Also, what's with GossiP members and getting really good drummers (Isao and Hayate/Tetsurou)? Like, Isao is literally touring overseas with other bands, and Tetsurou is literally a teacher of other Vkei drummers.

And then we have Ritsu.. yeah... he has yet to really wow me.

  8. If I could, I'd eat Cantonese food every day.

  9. When one GossiP isn't enough so you create another to milk in more cash
  10. I want to address something that I feel needs to be. I'm sorry for how cringey I was during my first few months on this forum, with my weird fan theories, and my lowkey highkey defending of Kisaki. I was younger (granted, it wasn't THAT long ago) and more stupid, but I'm a young adult now, and I'm trying to move past from that.

I recognise how much of an idiot I was, and I am actively trying to improve. I'm taking more responsibility for myself here, and I've been trying to actually provide more reliable info on stuff as of recent, especially since I have friends within the Japanese VisualKei scene now (one, who I view dearly as a brother of mine, is in a small indie band, and actually sometimes volunteers to work with bigger (compared to his. Usually bands like the AINS bands) bands). I also recognise that I used to be a bit of an attention whore here, though I didn't realise it at the time until VERY recently.

The most recent incident was negligible, since it was more of a speculation based on actual logic. I don't think it compares to the stuff I've said in the past that I am authentically ashamed of, and am trying to look past.

I'm sorry to those I have angered in the past, or have given a really bad first impression of myself to. I hope you forgive me.

And if you still won't give me a 2nd chance, well that's totally fine. But I'm not leaving any time soon. I'm willing to give those who were mean to me due to the shit I said a 2nd chance though.

Just know I'm not the same person I was in 2016 (and yes, I know that sounds so stereotypical, but hear me out, ok? I dealt with some personal shit between then and now that made me realise I should probably work on being a better person.)

I'm sorry, it's mostly my fault. I spoke first anyway, so it's my wrongdoing

Even if the Japanese fanbase doesn't care, that doesn't mean the band members themselves don't care how he addresses his fans. I mean, if the drummer of my band turned out to have been bullying a girl, I would be pretty disgusted. Wouldn't you? After all, it's his own band that's kicking him out. Not any flak from any fanbase, but specifically the band. To say the fact he bullied a fan had nothing to do with it, would be ignoring a big part, since I'm pretty sure the other members found out. But no, continue to be catty to me, please.
  13. Himeaimichu

Oh shit. lol Actually, I'm not surprised they kicked him to the curb. I mean, in the whole meme debacle, he openly denounced Ryuya, which kinda shows he probably either wasn't close to the members, or was mean to them
  14. Himeaimichu

A lot of sources say that he is, plus he was in charge of the band's YT.
  15. Himeaimichu

Summary: I'm an edgelord who bullies underage fans but I don't want to admit it, so I'm making a fake apology to make myself seem noble, but leaving out the fact that I bullied underage fans. Oh also, I'm shit at marketing and likes to address fans as "Motherfuckers" like I'm some sailor. But I also won't admit that, because I want to look like the victim, because I'm probably clinically a narcissist.

    Gimme the goth, Madame!
  17. Himeaimichu

Are they finally realising the electro-mistake that was their last single and are going back to the raw stuff?
  18. Himeaimichu

Oops. I made a mistake. I'm so sorry, it's normal for me to accidentally assume a band mentioned here is Vkei. I'm an idiot.
  19. Himeaimichu

So many Vkei guys are passing away as of recent... It's really sad
  20. So Fox News, AKA the hotbed of fear mongering propaganda, decides to be music hipsters and accuse Radiohead of copying Coldplay....

Knowing they've called an Autistic Kid a snowflake just because he playfully joked around with Mike Pence, I wouldn't want to know what cringey things they'd say about vkei lol.

They'll probably be like "It's destroying Japanese society. These people do way too much drugs and are all transsexuals. It's disgusting"

So I tried digging up information on the Memento Mori song I mentioned earlier, and couldn't find any evidence of a demo. The Kanji name is 二月八日の失明, as seen on live DVDs. Then, I came across this site, which lists the song: http://www.weblio.jp/wkpja/content/見世物小屋演者集団「メメント・モリ」_見世物小屋演者集団「メメント・モリ」の概要 It lists it under "other" Apparently, the band once actually had a wikipedia page, but it was deleted, and this is the only record of it. This is as far as I've gotten. I have no idea how to contact "Rose Tsukada" on anything like Facebook or Twitter. I do know of him outside of YT because he used to be the moderator for the Kuroyuri to Kage facebook fanpage, but then he left. Alternatively, if anyone else has information, that'd be lovely. I'd resort to personally contacting the members, but I doubt that would help, as they didn't respond to my request to see if they had a PO Box I could send fanmail to (I was hoping to send a painting I made as a birthday present for Kuro and K), and I'm pretty sure Mei himself wouldn't be any help since he'd probably just troll us. Also, is it even possible to get into personal contact with the members? I see VisualKei friends in Japan talk about their bandmen friends, but none of them are from Memento Mori and Kuroyuri to Kage. The only one who has the original masters probably is Shinjou Kasumi, who I think may be possible to get into contact with. If anyone is interested in helping me (and speaks Japanese), then please do. PM me so we can figure this shit out.
  22. Anyone remember the joke of a band that was Heaven's Dust? The non-Vkei band with a guitarist who looks Vkei, and had Kurona (though he was replaced by KAI Shine) and Daisuke from Wagakki Band and CrowXClass?

Yeah... this song is still shit.

The only reason why I am mildly interested in HeavensDust right now is because a member from one of my favorite early 1990s VK band just happens to be a current member.

If KoREDS wasn't in the group, I probably wouldn't even known that HeavensDust was still around.  I will probably quit paying attention to them once KoREDS leaves, though.

@Ikki Oh wow, interesting. So I guess Heaven's Dust would be Half-Vkei. Still doesn't change the fact Shin is an edgelord lol. Every song from them uses the F word so much, and they're so political lol. (They have some really good heavy stuff, but it's lost in all the political stuff, which normally is very watered down)

TBH, actually, if they weren't so political, and Shin wasn't as edgy (and his vocals weren't so weird), I'd enjoy them more. Annihilation though has got to be the worst sound engineering I've heard for a high budget production.

In all though, knowing their member history, I wouldn't expect KoREDS to stay in the band very long. They've gone through so many musicians, and Shin is the only remaining original member.

I wonder how well KoREDS and Kurona know eachother. They're both part of the Vkei scene, and were part of the same band.

I base it mostly on how much similarities I see between looks, sound, concept, etc. For example: The 2nd PV for Curse has a lot of cursive hiragana calligraphy going up and down the screen. This has been emulated by bands such as Kiryu. Also, before La'Mule, there weren't that many Vkei bands that made horror style PVs (at least ones that most people remember). Suddenly, La'Mule and Dir En Grey begin doing such, and then, a little later, other bands do the same. Also, there is the amount of influence they've had on the music and concept of other bands. While La'Mule wasn't the first to do their type of music, they do have a certain feel and concept that made them stand out. Other bands since have done similar. For example, Diaura, and AvelCain have done similar songs to "Lepra". (Lost November and Beni respectively. Though the influence in Lost November isn't as obvious). There are many others I could list, but these are the ones that come to my mind first.

@WhirlingBlackAh. I stand corrected. Sorry. Though, it should still be noted that both Objexxx and Setsuna share very similar instrumentals, if not the same, so the notion that one was a remake of the other isn't ENTIRELY incorrect, but it is partially incorrect and is an easy to make misconception.
