You who were at the US shows, did you notice any cameras recording it?

There was at least 1 camera recording each show in the EU, and in the one I attended, during the last song (Utafumi) there was a guy at the back of the stage with a camera. I'm not sure if he was just taking pictures or recording though. Die did point to him when he left the stage.

I'm asking because if there were, I think it's pretty likely that there's going to be a DVD of the tour since they used the same name for Japan -> US -> EU.

there were japanese bangya recording tons of shit with ancient digital cameras at my cleveland date which was totally bizarre

  2. One time i was walking through shinbashi when a bunch of anti-usa protests were going on. I was drinking a beer and wearing a GISM hoodie with and AK47 on it. Some cop stopped me but when I looked him in the eye and and asked him for directions in Japanese he stopped acting hard. That was my only encounter in 3 months being there. No tatts tho.

  3. Missa - Kiri To Mayu

    Gauze - Mitsu No Tsuba

    Macabre - Myaku

    Kisou - Jessica

    six UGLY - Byo Shin

    Vulgar - Kasumi

Withering to death - I cannot choose at all. This is so far from why I like Diru but picking from this album I dont listen to these days is sooooo hard right now. Realizing how much I actually like this album.

The Marrow Of A Bone - Concieved Sorrow

    Uroboros - Vinushka

Dum Spiro Spero - Different Sense

    The Unraveling - Karasu

    Arche - Uroko

The Insulated World - no opinion really

This is a weird list for me tho. I listen to so much western metal that it really influences me on my diru picks. I get that some songs on these albums are really really well written songs but if I'm being honest I like alot of their half-in-half out songs in terms of genre leaning stuff ... idk lol

While it is publicly known that I have a large distaste for Mejibray, I never tell anyone what kept the fires going.

It stems not so much from their crappy music (although I believe this to be true) or that their diehard fans at the time couldn't see past the superficiality, it was actually just that I think/thought they looked like giant assholes who were just dicking around and made VK look bad. In short, an embarrassment to the scene.

Was I wrong? Idk I never cared to check but I do know that the members still look like assholes haha.

The fact they are no more just gets a meh from me.

Secretly, I think a certain band I listen to felt the same way as I did too lol so there was also that.

idk they weren't that band compared to some bands these days. yeah they were pretty big but idk ... i can never feel the hate for them . they really weren't terrible tho.

  5. I totally agree with Gazette - Baretta and X Japan - Silent Jealousy.

With Luna Sea the options are endless but I love this particularly tasty and restrained Sugizo solo

Due Le'Quartz is also hard but when a solo is the course its hard to argue against

  6. First current band I got interested in for quite a while. Don't really love them or anything, but I started to listen to a lot more current bands after I found them. Sad to see them go.

  7. Values of Madness was the only song that elicited any really positive response on first listen. With that said, I still like this album more already on just the first listen than I thought I would ever.  I really hated Arche.

To y'all saying Values of Madness is like the Gazette - thats fair I guess. I like vkei diru.

    Calling it now 2020-2030 Genres:

    • Some bastardized electronic version of crunk called Nu-Crunk or Post-Crunk. The dirty south rises again.
    • Vaporwave/Millenniumwave will evolve to cover 2000s trends mainly using New Age, Trance, UK Garage, and Madchester. Instead of slowed down Diana Ross it's sped up Enya. Aesthetic is based in post-modern late 90s-00s design with a lots of silver and 2.5D logos.
    • As we ascend to greater levels of irony, butt-rock/post-grunge, once considered the laughing stock of music genres, gets revived in some form or fashion through a meme.
    • As marijuana gets legalized nationwide in the US,  70s culture revival starts to happen. Some new psychedelic genre arises that's some amalgam of previous psychedelia genres.

I agree but think I can see most of this in motion already. I mean modern underground electronic music is already where you are taking about. It's like subtle sad boy trance and broken beats with pop vocals. And stuff like SOPHIE and all that is kinda in that vane as well. Aesthetically the Y2k shit is def in already.

I think surf rock is kinda coming back hard. At least at local DIY and punk bars in cleveland. Lots of hardcore punk bands seem to be going really strong. The grunge angle is def in. Bands like Cherry Glazer kinda represent that wave (Hedi Slimane YSL collections were already a few years ago).

I think that 70s worship is starting to hit for sure. I can't elaborate but I def get that vibe lately from a lot of different scenes.
