So it sounds like it could have been on Dogma. We have no idea what the rest of the new album sounds like.
-
How is nobody hearing Dogma in this thing? That riff right after the intro sounds like a rearranged version of Dawn’s intro riff.
-
Those are all Japanese sites. Only reason I pointed it out is because this is the only Plastic Tree release on US iTunes.
-
Seems like Gazette has their ear towards current heavy western music more than DEG does.
-
Yeah sounds like Gazette.
-
Haha because it’s the ninth album ahaha
-
DOES HE HAVE A BAND NOW?!
-
Oh. It’s on iTunes.
-
How much of their setlist these days is just Yoshiki noodling around on the piano with the remainder of the songs being ballads?
-
Thankfully Sukekiyo is more than just Kyo.
-
Eh.

Honestly, I don’t think bonus tracks should be taken into account when ranking albums, which means, unfortunately, that the Macabre remake wouldn’t really count for The Unraveling.
-
I don’t know, Morrie released Hard Core Reverie and Dead End albums without them interfering with Creature Creature, so I’m thinking we won’t be hearing from them for a while if he actually announced a hiatus. Or “dormancy” as he put it.
-
I mean... did you ever question Mana’s fashion choices?
-
Ice Romancer was hot though

This is amazing. Almost on par with when people realized that the tracklists for Rentrer en Soi’s Kein no Hitsugi and Astre no Ito were swapped.
-
Wow, he even moves and gestures like Kyo. I’m surprised he didn’t airbrush abs on himself and apply a bunch of temporary tattoos for full authenticity. Also nice giant DSS at Budokan screen in the back, dudes.

This is interesting. This is exactly my problem with Withering to Death

Yeah, that cheesy Jimmy Buffet shit in Taiyou no Ao pisses me off. As for Kisou, some of DEG’s strongest material is on there, but it’s hands down the shittiest SOUNDING album in their catalogue. The mix is atrocious and there’s absolutely no punch to the guitars at all.
-
Hydra, Audrey, and Taiyou no Ao can fuck off, but overall Macabre is fucking ace.
-
It’s a good live song, but nearly six minutes of that shit on an album? Fuck that, bro. DED BWWAAAAAAHHHHHGGHH SEEDUH VEESHUS SUHSPEESHUSSS

Traces Vol. 2 probably gets the award for album that made me the most unreasonably angry in 2017

The Tsumi to Batsu remake sounds unrecognizable, but a lot of the original elements are there, just played at a much slower tempo. Hydra 666 kind of keeps the spirit of the original with the flicka flicka guitars and the way Die and Kaoru trade off on the main riff... but other than that yeah, it sucks. But so does Hydra anyway.
