They make acoustic bass guitars, and there are sticks and brushes that Kai could use to make his kit sound more subdued.

Probably they’re greatest ballad. Everything else almost sounds like they’re trying to recreate Cassis over and over again.

I think the Obscure video is one of the worst places to start, I dunno. It doesn’t showcase the band on a musical level, the PV is all distracting shock value poo poo, and the song itself gets randomly interrupted thru the whole thing.

Christ, and I heard that, as Satsuki tells it, RES was forced to disband because there was too much actual physical fighting between two of the members. I’m less likely to believe it now. I knew something was up with this dude when he dropped that dollarama version of Mizerable shortly after RES died. But then I was like “oh Mika is drumming on this thing so okay” ugh

Kaoru did say that Shinya is the most stubborn out of all of them, and Shinya’s lack of style change in forever supports that. He’s turning into Yoshiki. I think you’ve got Die and Toshiya reversed.

Don’t forget the re-recorded version of MISSA that comes with the limited special edition of the album. Turning Garden into an 18 minute black metal epic was a genius move. Also nice that they took the 2012 remake of Kiri to Mayu but used the lyrics from Sangeki no Yoru!

Tesseract’s album Altered State has drums that are partly programmed by the guitarist Acle, and partly played on a digital pad by the drummer himself because they didn’t have the time and money to record live drums. So if Traces Vol 2 was a quick cash grab, not having Kai come in to record is entirely feasible.
