Full disclosure: I’m still low key pissed off that Black Swan called it quits while The 13ir13een is still flourishing. Jin’s poor vocal techniques and self-admitted lack of musical knowledge just made him sort of endearing. I’ve rocked Nega’s Vanitas more than I’m willing to admit.

I mostly recall Ruki just throwing out random comparisons to past albumswhem talking about a new one, but yeah, western artists are the worst with this. I think it was Dave Mustaine that recently boasted about the next Megadeth having blast beats. Who cares?! Or the dude from Disturbed. “Our next album will be our Black Album.” The fuck does that even mean? You’re already making radio friendly metal.
-
Artists should refrain from talking about what their new album is going to sound like, because most of the time they’re full of shit.
-
No, イケてる (iketeru) means “stylish”.
-
Because Jin, at his best, sounds like that clip you just posted. And isn’t the DEG thread full of comments about how shitty Kyo sounds most of the time? Who’s denying it?
-
Ironic that the only thing I understood in that post was “iketeru”

boku no hamburger ochite WAAAAGAGAGAGAAGAGGA~oooouuuuoouuou~HHWWAAAOOOO DAKISHIMENAI SKWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!’

That dropped burger probably inspired him to write some DAIZETSUBOU lyrics.

BK gets props from me for not giving two shits and throwing all types of gimmicky items on the menu on the regular. McD’s menu is BORING!

Shitty water pressure sucks. It’s a valid complaint. Also one look at Die’s hair should tell you the dude needs perfect conditions to care for that glorious mane.
-
I like Toshiya and Die for their stage presence.

I’d like Shinya to go more into depth about why he hated Marrow. Imagine recording and touring behind something you hate. Especially if, according to Kaoru, Shinya is the most stubborn member of the band and doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do.

Recent DEG stuff sounds like a bunch of 128kbps files anyway
-
I think a lot of the stuff on Adoratio is catchy.
-
I’d ignore that account to be honest. This is the first time I’ve seen them not post a “what’s [insert band here]’s heaviest album?”

“Uroboros", the seventh full-length album from Japan's DIR EN GREY, sold around 6,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 114 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD debuted at No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.” Mofos should have thanked me.

I don’t remember if Arche leaked, but I know DSS did. I leaked Uroboros.

Most Japanese bands in general seem to feature bassists that take a more melodic approach rather than simply playing the root. They’re almost like another guitarist sometimes. I’ve always wondered why bass is treated differently from western music.
-
No. But you said Gauze wasn’t out two decades ago.
-
I don’t remember anyone sweating for samples of Ninth week’s before release to be honest.
-
Well, Gauze was 1999. That’s roughly two decades.
-
Good lord, is this the only vk band that has us drooling for samples weeks before a release?
-
Early 12012 was heavier than whatever the hell that was before they called it quits.
-
Sounded like someone’s guitar was out of tune. Also Sho please don’t adopt Kyo’s habit of adlibbing croons where they don’t belong.
