Well if there's one thing Japan doesn't lack, it's capable metal guitarists. Seems safe to assume they'll be fine. Now, if it was Yuu leaving, that would be different.

Obviously it depends on what song(s)/album(s) of his you listened to, but if he didn't win you over the first time, I wouldn't be in any hurry. He's an absolute wizard with his guitar when he wants to be, but his songwriting has always been a tad hit-and-miss to my ears. I haven't much enjoyed anything he's done since Horizon.
