Serox reacted to Takadanobabaalien in [suggestion] Japanese ROCK -> Visual Kei news, should be only for JAPANESE origin bands only
lmao, and adding the japanese ending particle "ne" to a full english sentence isn't weeaboo behaviour.
"And I don't give a fuck about if your band is based in Japan or not, you are still not JAPANESE."
pretty sure nobody claimed that they were but yeah.
anyway, you're obviously free to have your opinion, i think most ppl dont agree with you though.

To be a bit serious:
As inartistic said, it's a non-issue. Especially if the band is signed in Japan, gig at visual kei livehouses, release their music in vk stores, hangs around in the visual kei social circles etc. The only thing dividing them from the Japanese bands are their origin - which is kinda stupid.
Also how far are you willing to drag this?
Chaos from Insanity Injection is Italian, should their band also be in the global music section? I mean, god forbid you listen to a vocalist who isn't japanese.

I agree with you! (Although I like Yohio)

Serox reacted to Euthanasia in [suggestion] Japanese ROCK -> Visual Kei news, should be only for JAPANESE origin bands only
lol I don't like yohio and his gang myself but there's no point to divide groups because of their races. If you don't like it just ignore the threads. The whole "confusion" argument sounds like BS to me.

I support this idea and I propose that we take it one step further by imposing strict eugenics on all bands, since there might be members of not 100% pure Japanese descent who mask themselves as members of the purported master race.
It's time we start a fund to send one of the fine gentlemen who are an expert in this field to Japan in order to meticulously measure the skulls and ensure the racial purity of our Japanese musicians. Perhaps we can make various sub-forums for degrees of Japanese-ness in order to let people decide on their own tolerance for racial deviation? Maybe they're fine with bands who have members who show slightly Caucasoid/Negroid facial traits but not so much as it shows in their skin tone for example?
...Or we just don't care. I'm the last person to think swede-kei and the various other weeaboo scenes are anything to listen to, but honestly, if a band is based in Japan, sings in Japanese, has it's social circles in the Japanese Visual scene, the only thing separating them is race. Kind of silly to make a deal out of, in my opinion.

Serox reacted to BlackSwan_86 in DISREIGN new maxi single "WITHIN THE VOID" release
i think it's not important if their japanese or not ... the most important is, that they are making great music and they look god damn great for a "foreign kei band"
so i’m fine with them

They are based in Japan. They play Japanese visual kei shows with other Japanese visual kei bands. They're Japanese visual kei.

Serox reacted to inartistic in [suggestion] Japanese ROCK -> Visual Kei news, should be only for JAPANESE origin bands only
To be completely honest, this is a non-issue. There really isn't an “foreign VK scene” to speak of. Lilith (and maybe DISREIGN) is the only band with consistently news-worthy announcements, and they're active in Japan so the point is moot. No one cares about BATAAR or Seike enough to even post about their projects.
No one is “confused” about a Finnish vk band appearing in the vk section once every six months.
But I agree, if you're posting about a Finnish band, feel free to tag it (which you already have the power to do) so that everyone knows they can ignore the post.

If they classify themselves as Vkei...it goes in vkei lmao

Serox reacted to ruki11 in [suggestion] Japanese ROCK -> Visual Kei news, should be only for JAPANESE origin bands only
I think it's nice if we have News (General) and News (Visual Kei) forum, and not care where it from

Serox reacted to Komorebi in Official Music Hate Thread
I don't think I hate any bands... not bands I've actually heard. I hate oshare bands in general, despite some of them being good, I just hate their colorful style... but I don't think I've heard enough of them to actually hate them.
I hate Malice Mizer and X-Japan being so overrated and all, but I can't say either that I hate the bands per se.
I do hate Aoi from gazette. He is obnoxious, whiny and throws tantrums on Twitter like a teenager.
I realize Kiyoharu is a great musician with an undeniable sex appeal... but I hate his face. He is ugly as fuck. I'd like him way more if he worn a paper bag over his head.
Not really VK but I also hate Daigo's clownish persona.
I hate the gazette fans who refuse to acnowledge there are other good vk bands and Versailles fans that go "omg D and Misaruka are totally ripping off Versailles". Bitch, no. Those bands have been using the vampire theme/Renaissance looks before Kamijo even had Versailles' theme in mind.
I also hate when people hear just one song and say "omg this band is total crap!". I don't think a single song can account for a band's overall quality. I personally bother to listen to a full album, EP or a couple of singles before saying "this band is crappy". After one song I can say "this band is not my style/I don't like their sound/they don't really strike my fancy" but going all music-critic and go out of my way to bash a band after one try... idk why so many people on social media seem to love doing that.

Serox got a reaction from smilesxchibi in IORI (Ex-Phantasmagoria & Ex-Spiv States) has become a photographer!!
Hi guys!! ^^ /
I've always been a big fan of Phantasmagoria, but my favorite member was IORI (the rhythmic guitarist). Since his retirement in 2010 from the world of music, I always tried some news about him on the internet.. it was said in some sites that had become an Otaku, who had opened a cosplay shop etc. (WTF) but thanks to a friend on Twitter I was able to find his Instagram profile!! I could not believe my eyes.. see him after so many years makes me a little sense, but I was so happy to see him again!! :'3
Now he is no longer called "Iori" but "Tetsu" which is an abbreviation of its name "Tetsurou". He in his Instagram profile makes references to his ex-band excluding a photo where there is depicted a church where Phantasmagoria recorded the PV "at the Ends Of the Rest Periods..."
And a photo there is a girl who is holding the guitar with which he played "Ore No Shio"
with his ex-partner JUN (now in Gotcharocka)
I would love to see him in the scene together with JUN .. who knows maybe one day. :'(
He was also your favorite member? I would love to know your opinion about it! ^^

Serox reacted to Barxs in Misaruka WDP will perform in Mexico
Me neither, actually I've been trying to find like a mexican support page or something like that, but I have found none.
However, it's Mexico and I know that people will get crazy just because they are from Japan. And since its a kinda big comic event, I'm sure there will be support.
And it also makes me excited because Starwave bands are comming to Mexico ^^
