Pretty much as the title says, how'd you discover your current obsession or favorite bands? 
Recommended by a friend? Related YT video browsing? Type away. Tell a story if you will. 

I am surprised no one has posted any Minimal Wave or retro Darkwave yet. Or maybe I am misunderstanding this "retrowave" thing and it's more like a revival of more mainstream or typical 80s synth pop and electro, than being a revival of actual (New) Wave?

It def has the characteristic 80s wave sound. This has been a trend for a while and I mostly "blame" it on the hipsters having rediscovered old retro music.

I've tried to get into Five Finger Death Punch, but nothing is clicking at the moment.

Although FFDP and BMTH are two of my very favorite bands at the moment, Blessed With A Curse and A Day In My Life aren't really my cup of tea. I do prefer the guitar work on 無限廻廊 by DELACROIX. Also I like a lot the style adopted by BFMV on their latest album Temper Temper, which features Riot.

It's time I take a stand and be true to myself! I don't care too much that I'll lose friends but they're no good for me, sure I hang out with them in college/when I have a class break but we don't mix that well. Too rude, different or my mind is telling me that they're all two and more.

I spent my near years eve going to the cinema with my girl watching The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies, then went home for some beers before we left to the stable to take care of the animals there. Well, my girlfiend did most of the work while I spent my time there cuddling with the three ponies and the cat. Those ponies are the cutest animals ever.

For first time used cdjapan and ordered limited version of kamijo's heart. So far been using ebay and amazon, so i was quite surprised that it came to uk in 9 days
The package included cd+pv dvd, kamijo poster and take free magazine with moran.

Reminds me of one of my worst habits; never twirl your hair whenever you're outside/with others. Even when someone isn't talking to you or you're not looking at them, they WILL think you're flirting with them for some reason.

Hello everyone, I literally just signed up for Monochrome Heaven and I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. 
I found this website by searching for J-rock communities by the way.
I'm a pretty easy going person, go with the flow, quiet most of the time but I'll give my thoughts here and there.
 
From the Japanese music scene I mainly listen to the following bands but I'm looking to widen my band list:
exist†trace, DELUHI, THE KIDDIE, UNiTE, the GazettE, girugamesh, Canzel, Golden Bomber, Gremlins, DELACROIX, SLOD, Royz and Mejibray.
 
I hope to have a great time and meet a wide variety of people to discuss and develop anything related to the Asian music culture or European even American too ╰(°ㅂ°)╯
