I was debating on getting a Wii U or a Vita recently, and went with the latter just because I only wanted a Wii U specifically for one game. I'm glad I held off from it for now. The Switch really does sound like it's what the Wii U was meant to be. I'll wait on feedback. I'm excited for the release but I'm in no rush to get it until quite a long time period. That's to see if any games catch my eye that are exclusive to the system.

@CAT5, Shutter, the first Thai movie @plastic_rainbowsuggested is the one I was thinking of! It's probably way too scary for me though, lmao. I still think it looks super awesome. Jacob's Ladder is one of the movies with an insane plot twist, no? I'm kind of interested in that. Also because of my older siser, I'm curious about Rosemary's Baby. Plus The Host which just looks brilliant. Was meaning to watch that for years, could be an alright choice. Plan 9 from Outer Space may be the most necessary because of its totally unintended Darkplace factor, lol. Can I make the excuse of finally getting to a Tim Curry movie like IT or The Rocky Horror Show because bloody Tim Curry on bloody Halloween, yes please~ Now the movie choices are flowing out of me~

I don't even watch The Walking Dead or know anything about it apart from how the game looks, and my little sister decided to show me this scene last night. I know I won't recover from seeing that. Ever. I'm relieved I didn't get to watching this show to grow to love the characters. I was on the verge of tears just being shown this.

Picked up a few games after selling one of my Pokemon games. I have like six others and I don't touch them anymore but I've regretted selling in games when I was younger and wanting them back now. ;-; So I'm undecided if I'll ever do it again. Anyway, I picked up Project X Zone and Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. for the 3DS, and Steins;Gate and Yakuza 4 for the PS3. At least I haven't regretted what I got! I had wanted all four games for a while now and got them all at better prices in town than online. Haven't really touched the 3DS ones even though I was most excited for them but instead got on the PS3 as a way to chill out while I'm feeling off. Have gotten into Steins;Gate but am feeling conflicted with it for now. It's already weird enough it's my first time playing a VN on a console other than the Zero Escape and Ace Attorney games on the DS, but I've always had some kind of uncertainty in getting to this name, be it the game or anime. Always prefer to do the game than watch the anime if the game came first, so I am happy I got it. Maybe I'm just anxious in falling head over heels for it and be late to the party, or be super disappointed in it. But Yakuza 4. Aww man, I had no idea what to expect when getting to it. It gives me like a Grand Theft Auto feel, from what I remember playing on it as a kid (^^;). I LOVE the characters and interractions from the couple of hours I've played of it. And those super lengthy cutscenes. It's like watching a show, with how good the animation looks. Also so happy to see that it's only Japanese audio with subtitles. Should always be that way. Absolutely smashing at the moment. Also love how realistic the whole set up is, with the conversations you overhear, and the design of characters and places. So excited to get back on it once I get over my cold and work. One thing I wish I could see is getting into cars and on motorbikes... now that I've made that GTA comparison. Lol. EDIT: Rule of Rose sounds like a great game. I've seen it before and even like the look of it. Too bad it's near impossible to get over here. It's a shame to hear that about Mirror's Edge. Sounds like for people who are getting it quick/early, they'll be disappointed with it...

I'm finding it kind of funny because apart from certain acceptations, such as the fin., Winnie and Special Thanks, I find very few such groups to be Western sounding. Even outside of this case. If anything ones that are obvious such as Jin Akanishi and I Don't Like Mondays are clearly influenced by it. And that's only because I end up associating them to like the Asian equivalent of Western bands (the fin. with the 1975, Special Thanks with sum 42 e.c.t). I actually find the big Jpop names such as Utada and Namie Amuro most Western, anything smaller I just can't hear it. So I'm in an agreement with fitz. I obviously am no expert on this. I also always thought the term "City Pop" was a way to group these indie acts of a similar sound together. Also am surprised that acts like (((Sssurrounddd))) weren't mentioned. But again my reasons for including them isn't because I think they're Western sounding, but similar to Awesome City Club and such. Like I brought up with I Don't Like Mondays, there's more obvious Western sounding bands outside of this, so I'm a bit confused with it. It's definitely nice there's a label for these bands, but explaining it as Western, I can't get behind. Save for a few of them, sure. But only because of little things, when there's others that have a much more obvious Western influence. Now I get the club joke... lol.

So I was just thinking about upcoming events and what we could do with dubtrack for them. Anyone up for celebrating Halloween and Christmas? Halloween will be on a Monday, so we could call a session for the 31st and have it themed or something? Christmas will fall on the regular Sunday session though. I'm up for it being themed too. Depends on what you all want. But what about the timing? Since it's been the 24 hour way for some time now, should we pick a time for a get together that'd work best for us all before then? This once? Let me know!
