Huh. I never associated Missalina Rei with oshare aside from Tokimeki which was more of a joke song. Everything else by them is just basic visual kei (all of which I am a fan of, mind you. I love Arisu.) Never saw Shazna as oshare either but that's just my opinion. The best 2000s oshare band for me is Charlotte; I found them in 2006 and have listened to them religiously. RIP Kazuno. I like Vinett, early An Cafe, Soroban/Zoro and PANIC☆ch too.

I like gossip's aesthetic but the music isn't my style. Also Canival--Kosuke and Luvia are always on point visually but their music is pretty forgettable. EDIT: Aliene Ma'riage, too. I'm not a fan of the noisy loud chaotic sound that usually comes with Kyouka's work. Insanity Injection is slightly tolerable. Love their looks though.

That's why I'm so ??????? over this. I don't have a problem with it, I'm just... No shade but is this guy and the new drummer musically competent enough to keep up with the likes of Hizaki and Teru? That's probably why Masashi and Yuki worked with them for so long because they could adapt to that kind of style and musicianship. I've never heard Killaneth or Roach so idk. I guess we'll find out soon.

Kamijo doesn't look like a washed up 80s rocker so I don't get why people are claiming Zin is trying to be him. He doesn't even look aristocratic this time. If he did, then you could say he's a budget Kamijo because right now I'm not seeing the similarities. And I'm not feeling this look. It's like they all belong in different bands.

J-rock fanfic and rp creeps me out too. Imagine some stranger sitting in their basement writing about you and your friends, making headcanons like they live inside of your mind and know how you'd feel or react to things and essentially reducing you to a fictional character instead of a real person. Which is what bandmen are. Real people, idealized or not. It doesn't matter if their vk persona is so over the top that it's almost cartoonish--I don't think that gives people the right to do this. Those "J-rock scenarios" written in 2nd person that are basically self-insert smut fanfics with your favorite bandman deserve a mention as well. Why not keep that to yourself?
