Really looking forward to hear some more hip-hop releases, didn't really heard any japanese hip-hop album from this year (except Nitro Microphone Underground's new album, but that was just well, okay), but that was some quite outstand western hip-hop releases (the solo album of the Antipop Consortium MC, Beans; Dels's album, and the new The Streets album has some nice hip-hop songs too) - and more coming! Really can't wait to hear, how the new 8-Eit and Psysalia Psysalis Psyche singles with sound - I really like, that every of Psysalia's singles are different from the other, I would like to see, how they can build in ambient sounds into their style, I REALLY intrested about the forthcoming three singles. Just as much as I want to hear the new Owarikara, their last release was great, hope they pack more funk into their next release - I would be intrested about a collabration between them and Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro. xD Hope that there will be a new Twin Shadow album dropping in this year, and well, I would like to hear something new from 6Eyes and silver spoon eyeball too! Would really like to see some fresh and good japanese albums too!

(Oh, about western releases - I personally don't mind, if you write about them too, and as I saw, there were some talk about western bands for example in the 'bands with multiple of unusual instruments' thread, but I think, it's not too much to ask, to keep it short. I think the same rule should apply for the release-listing, but if you have different thoughts, I'm all ears! Hope the mods will find this topic okay too. ^^

I am a little unsecure about Merry and Thorns to release new albums, but I am quite sure thery'll come with something new this year. At least Merry. It's 10 years since Snorre releases his debut album with Thorns, and after that it's been quiet as far as new material goes. The album's been planned for release for many years now, but haven't happened yet so I wonder if it will ever happen.

And the reason I am awaiting these releases is because I really like all the bands. Nothing more than that.

Pain Of Salvation - Road Salt Two, because RS1 was fantastic and I can't wait to hear how Danny G decides to end it.

Tesseract - One, I've grown out of my initial fascination with that djent stuff, but I still enjoy Tesseract a lot.

Scar Symmetry - The Unseen Empire, because I'm interested in hearing (aside from that one new song) how the 2 new vocalists have improved since the last album. And if they haven't, SS's music has always been great regardless.

Alrakis' next album, but this is more of a hope that there will be one. Since I found Omega Cen to be incredible.

8-eit - those 2 releases mentioned by OP. 'Cause they're generally a great band.

Anything new Gazette does this year. Purely for the reason that I want to see if they can get themselves out of this shit dump they've been in since BID.

As mentioned already, Alcest and Lantlos' new releases. Though I'm hoping more for Les Discrets, since I'm sure Fursy is quite a ways through making their second album right now. Last I heard anyway.
