apple-wa 10 Posted July 9, 2017 Not bad! Kind of a grown up sound. I really like their look. I feel compelled to listen to them just because of their name. Where I live used to be Sioux Indian land, and everything around here is called Sioux: Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Sioux Center, Big Sioux River, Little Sioux River, etc... reminiscing2004 617 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) Musically, this is probably a bit soft(?) for my usual tastes, but I really really love the sound of the recording so I thought I'd mention it. This is free from so many of the recording/mixing techniques commonly expected with 2010's VK that I generally just find uninteresting and emotionally flat. I really liked this song because the drums sounded natural and roomy. They aren't triggering synthetic feeling kick and snare samples and it hasn't been compressed to shit. The mix in general just sounds super pleasant, in part because it hasn't been squashed in a number of ways for teh loudness!!! Production wise, I find this waaaay more similar to how late 90s emo and post-rock sounded then anything visual kei in the last decade and I really love that. It's really cool to see a band going in this direction with their recordings. Because it's something most people don't really consider, most bands just feel pressure to bandwagon on the trend of what everyone else's records sound like and hire the same engineers because its safe and lazy. I like the falsetto vocals and the instrumental breaks, so I'm excited to see what else this band can do. And as mentioned, I hope their recordings continue to glisten with beauty... Ah yes, this is what I meant by "grown up sound". I just didn't know how to put my thoughts into proper words. Thank you for that!

Neurosis 81 Posted February 20, 2018 Ciela https://twitter.com/ciela_sioux https://www.instagram.com/ciela1111/ Since Sioux was formed he caught my attention quickly. His musical style and impressive costumes were worth it to become one of my entry bands. But one of his members, Ciela, has won my complete admiration for his peculiar and magnificent aesthetic. With each set of photos his representations improved more and more. Then they released the PV of Last Scene (Oh God, I love it). During each scene I could reaffirm my admiration for him, not only for his appearance, but for his great talent with the guitar. Definitely this artist has become one of my favorites. 1 Akrus reacted to this
