SUGIZOLOVER 1 Posted September 10, 2010 Luna Sea's Mother is the Definitive and most ground breaking J rock album in terms of everything Music in the whole the galaxy Style was too
ficsci 50 Posted November 12, 2010 In VK Dir en Grey - GAUZE LUNA SEA - Image, Eden, Mother, Style (fuck yes, all 4) deadman - no alternative BUCK-TICK - Darker than Darkness I'm sure something by Kuroyume and Malice Mizer should also be up there And I'm not quite sure, but I feel like... even if I won't mention an album specifically, Ayabie's old stuff (Ryouhei era) seem to have quite affected the scene As for the rest of jrock, I have to admit I don't know the whole thing so well, but Shiina Ringo - Shouso Strip, Kalk Samen Kuri no Hana NUMBER GIRL - Sappukei, NUM-HEAVYMETALLIC And ART-SCHOOL's Requiem for Innocence is possibly the catchiest, most ridiculously emo thing I've ever listened to, coming from any scene, genius And I'm sure there are a lot of old classics I'm not that familiar about, like BOOWY or something

Qliffot 118 Posted November 16, 2010 Madeth gray'll - Lucifer and Best of Album vellaDonna - Chaos Kuroageha - CAPRICCIO La'Mule - Climax DespairsRay - Coll:set Shizuku... - Tsuki ga yami ni kageru toki RENTRER EN SOI - THE BOTTOM OF CHAOS and AIN SOPH AUR Lamiel - Kaigan Aliene Ma'riage - Les Soiree albums NOi'X - Deluge and CROiX Eliphas Levi - Tsumetai Atelier no Majutsushi @Arithmetica, I see only You remember about Aliene Maφriage, Eliphas Levi and Madeth gray'll that are my types too. Surely I'll be able to agree with more of Your old kotekote/v系 examples in future, when I'll just listen to more such beautiful music... I'll show my own poor list of greatest Japanese albums, landmark releases that most influenced into Japanese music business. Surely it's never complete, 'cause there's always something else to discover, but for me most important albums in history are at this moment: Aliene Maφriage - Les Soirée 夜?? (2004)* Versailles - Lyrical Sympathy (2007)* X JAPAN - Blue Blood (1989) *I know, this both releases are only mini-albums, but I can feel, they're more important than "Sphire-Croid" and "NOBLE". In case of ReS, "Yurikago" and "Cinema Cradle" - DVD connected to this release with such songs like "Sincerely", "Fallen" and "Re-birth" are some from biggest hits of this band, best songs and tracks that are one from most often "exported", first discovered Japanese songs through European and American people. If Satsuki, Takumi and rest didn't record "Yurikago", they might never do such big career as they did. That's first. And about Versailles... It's almost the same problem. "Lyrical Sympathy" just started this big group, people were very excited because of members... it looked almost like super-group at all with Hizaki, Jasmine Yuu and Kamijo... I've got no idea, how to explain it better :-/
Guest Posted November 16, 2010 I don't think I've posted in this yet. I'll keep it at a minimum, so I will not post more than one release by each band. I'll keep it japanese, but I will step outside of the jrock/visual kei box. Kagrra, - San Merry - Modern Garde Sigh - Hail Horror Hail Mono - Hymn of the Immortal Wind Boris - Akuma no Uta Unholy Grave - Crucified Sabbat - Karisma Magnesium - Time Tells No Lies/Over the Rainbow Abigail - Intercourse and Lust Dir en Grey - Macabre Rentrer en Soi - Megiddo Mucc - Antique Disclose - Nightmare or Reality Framtid - Under the Ashes Gauze - Fuckheads Envy - Insomniac Doze Gazette - Disorder S.O.B. - Don't Be Swindle There's a lot more I would like to mention, but it'll become a little too much. But that's some at least.
