Wind 195 Posted September 23, 2011 Retinal detachment is where the retina, the tissue lining the back of the eye that "picks up" images, begins to peel away from the wall of the eye itself. This will lead to blindness if not treated quickly. In this case, I'm guessing they just happened to notice it, or Masakazu brought it up in one of those "while I'm here, could you check out this" type moments. Most people who have it treated before it becomes an acute problem regain vision in the affected eye (though possibly with slightly worse vision). Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
