I disagree. I am a business man, and you do what it takes to win, but this is not how you win. As for morals, everyone has their own, what matters is standing by them no matter what, which is what seperates the men from the b*tches of this world. I have seen many different businesses from the inside, and the ones without morals are the ones without balls, and they almost always have more debt than profit in their ventures, though they wont tell you that. The,fact that these bands are announcing a conditional disbandment shows me they actually dont have what it takes. I can give examples of real bands that did what it took, like Buck-Tick or Dog in the PWO... Haru put his whole life into being in a band, he used to sleep in lobbies, look all day for band members, give up oppurtunities elsewhere to continue music, etc... These other bands come out with unrefined looks and sounds, then disband after not becoming SID or Alice Nine in six months. Just my two cents.

Zoro: Vocalist and Bass wanted more electronic style. Guitarist and Drummer want to be more rock. Guitarist and drummer leave. Guitarist went to band Kra who needed a new member due to.the previous guitarist being seriously ill. Malice Mizer: Vocalist said the band was blinded by money and wanted to be maknstream for the sake of being mainstream. LC5, YFC, Karasu, THB: Temporary projects never intended to be long term. X Japan: Disagreements between the band, and the bassist not being satisfied with the life of a star. They all already had side projects. Luna Sea: Disagreement between members and supposed egos. SuG: Temporary hiatus due to supposed discontent with their management. La:Sadie's: Leader thought they were not ready to debut, band disagreed, they split. Versailles: Vocalist did not believe the band had a meaningful direction, and followed in the footsteps of his mentor and idol by going solo. The rest of the band continues under a new name with new vocalist. Ayabie: Band members did not follow the direction of vocalist once going major, so they split into a new band with a capitalized name. Those are some of the top of my head. Check out the News section and search for.disband etc... Many stories by Trombe, esp. of bands splitting due to lack of attendance at concerts.

Gackt - Mars April 26, 2000 The first album by Gackt, which featured his second best selling single Vanilla and a myriad of other more experimental tracks featuring a wide range of sounds and instruments, as well as tempos and structures. This was during a period where Visual Kei, and others forms of `different` rock music started losing its footing in any mainstream context within Japan. Yet this album was regarded as the first of many `monster` albums by Gackt, which enjoyed huge popularity and coverage, despite not being easily definable as mainstream in any sense. This album really blew open the formula and idea for what a modern, successful Rock album could sound like, and really endorsed freedom to both Gackt`s peers, and listening fans. Without an album, or artist like this, I feel that what could be mainstream in Japan would have narrowed even further, and we would not have as much freedom in major bands, or even Indie bands in terms of what we could hear. Although some say Gackt starting straying away from the Visual Kei influence at this time, this is up for debate, as Visual Kei is not clearly defined look or sound-wise, and one could still easily attach Gackt`s look and sound in Mizerable (pre-Mars) Vanilla (Mars), or Redemption / YFC (very post Mars) as Visual Kei. The album was written, composed and produced by Gackt. He also did the vocals (for those somehow totally unaware of Gackt) and played piano. As composer his influence also runs to the other instruments, though there is input from long-time friends and contributors to Gackt such as You (Violin, Guitar), Chachamaru (Guitar, Associate Producing), and Masa (Guitar). Although this is a major album, it should be noted that the experimental sound of this album did take a while for the public to warm up to, and in fact following Gackt works which kept with the experimentation were increasingly more accepted by the public. For those new to Gackt or this album, instead of listening to a Youtube video for this, I recommend you listen to the album in its entirety a couple of times to get a feel for it.

I either dont sleep and just go on until the next day, or if I have free time I get naked in bed and go to sleep with a good album and wake up 11-13 hours later. That is rare though, so 4 hrs a night avg? Are you afraid of the dark?

I fixed using all of the advice you guys gave me. For some I removed the ID3v1 info, re-filled out the ID3v2 all with Japanese keyboard setting. 1 I re-ripped. The last one which was bonus tracks from another CD I couldn`t fix, so I used mp3-to-mp3 forbidden art from Ishiki and made them all uniform. I guess the problem with this one was that the two different CD ID`s somehow interfered? I dunno, I`m not good with this. Thanks a lot for the help everyone. Now, I put album covers on all my files and my DataBase is pristine!

Hey guys, In this thread I thought we could try putting together tribute albums we would love to see. There are no rules, make up whatever choices you want. Suggestions: You may want to either choose one artist to be covered by multiple others, like Hide Tribute, with or without a theme. You may choose an era to be covered, like CRUSH. You may choose multiple artists from any era to be covered by one artist, etc... Here`s one to start: Alice Nine Tribute Album: RAINBOWS - Takanori Nishikawa (Shou`s hero). Time Machine - DIV Fantasy - L`Arc en Ciel (Hyde is another of Shou`s heroes). White Prayer - Luna Sea (Heavily influenced A9). Blue Planet - UNiTE (Think this is a great match) Velvet - Dir en Grey Heart of Gold - SID Senkou - Kra (I think Taizo would kill this on guitar!) I tried fixing the info, metadata etc... using Winamp, I figure it is the same thing. I took out the album name, artist name, retyped it manually... No dice... The ones I ripped myself worked, they were fixed when I did that. The ones I downloaded didn't. It seems like they are from different cds, like combining bonud tracks etc... and stay in.seperate albums on my phone... This sucks since I.like to download albums to not have to.open.cases or get bonus tracks if I couldnt get all versions... Thanks for responding.

Hey guys, Do you ever have an issue with files on your music player, or PC automatically being divided into multiple albums even though they have the same album name, artist , etc??? I experience this with either cds I rip, or files I download to check out new artists. I play my music on my Xperia, and have the issue there, where an album is split into two or three in my library and I cant fix it even I delete and retype the info in the edit track screen. Happens mostly with 日本語 titles but also happens with Roman titles as well... Let me know if you feel my pain (like a support group), or if you have any info or ideas to fix. Thanks for reading!

Honestly, just to clarify, I was presenting different hypothetical scenarios... I feel like a lot of the responses might have actually been attacking me and assuming things, but I am just presenting a discussion. If people weren`t aiming at me, or if they were, whatever, I am not mad, just clarifying so you know me. As for my personal feelings... I have strong beliefs, but I understand that everyone sees things differently, and does different things. When I buy a cd, or whatever, I do it to obtain that thing which I want, and to support the quality of that product, those good songs, etc... If someone makes a bad cd, or a bad pair of jeans that rip, etc... I wont buy, unless special circumstances like a band goes in a direction I don`t like, but are still trying to make what they think is good... If that band was always there for me, I will be there for them, I don`t care. If I turn on wrestling, and they have some boring night, I still keep it on, because I know them, and they have been there for me every Monday night, and I don`t turn so easily... But I also find it interesting if say a vegetarian or vegan likes a band, or person, and supports them, what do they feel when they see that band wearing expensive leather jackets, or fur or whatever? Everybody is different, but it is still a complicated world. Just my opinions, I find this all very interesting, and nice to know your opinions, thanks for all input so far!

As for credits, it can be a form of thank you, or recognition in a community. Say you brought cookies to work for everyone, and while you aren`t looking, someone else grabs your plate of your desk and puts it on his... Then everyone starts eating the cookies and telling him how amazing he is, and thanking him... It would make you pretty angry, and stop you from even thinking about the people enjoying the cookies etc... It would just make you mad... I don`t care about credits, but can see why other people do. If you do something and someone else gets the credit, it may ruin it for you. As for file types... I am of the camp that any format is fine for people to try the band... A good band in low quality is still recognizable as being worth it, and you can buy the cd to get the full quality... I also don`t like iTunes because the quality is pretty much never good enough for me if I am paying for it. I would only use it for exclusives.... With anything I like, 320 is not enough, I need FLAC to satisfy me, so if I wasn`t someone that bought already, I would be driven to purchase for full quality on my headphones. Just my opinions, I understand why people feel differently! Good discussion here.

I would have called him out on every site and buried him in front of everyone.I never really feel any content from sharing normal stuff unless people say something like oh I love this band I will buy, or where can I buy? Or sometimes vain things I admit like when they ask for my twitter to follow me, I enjoy that (even though I dont have twitter ehehh). If someone reupload for their own gain in popopularity then just lol at how sad they are. I would reccomend getting a real hobby in life that you can feel accomplishment in and gain notoriety, but then again, knowing them, they would probably plagiarize or trace other peoples work and take credit, LOL.

Hey guys, I have been on many, many dates in my time. I don`t sleep around, but like to go on dates with many different girls, trying to look for one that will stick­. Anyone else do the same? I guess what planted the seed of interest in my early days was an interview with Gackt, where he said his favourite hobby was dating girls. I have always been interested in trying it out since then, and eventually learned how to do it. I have tons of funny and crazy stories too, if anyone wants to hear about that, or just the hobby itself. Let me know your dating frequency, and any interesting stories of your own!

Hey guys, Are there ever circumstances for you, where you feel, or even just think, that there is no point supporting an artist, or that your money is used in unscrupulous ways anyway? For example, I used to love a certain band, but they started making music that I didn`t like. In any case, I felt as if they were a band that I always loved, and I would always give a chance to / stick with. But... In this case, they are putting out music I think is bad first off, and second, when I looked at the frontman`s blog, I saw him taking pics of his expensive clothes and leather jackets... Including just taking pics of the tags on clothing or bags from expensive stores... Isn`t it kind of wrong to you? Basically you are inadvertantly helping this guy buy stupid stuff he doesn`t need, and he is showing it off in vain ways to you, the fan... And what if I were vegetarian or vegan for example? I`m paying for leather jackets... Then they post pics of smoking or drinking... And I am inadvertantly paying for that... Or even drugs, as some VK bands do, and may famous Rock bands have or still do. Eric Clapton snorted away millions, reportedly, and even started selling his guitar collection for more... Or if the artist is really popular already, you are paying someone that makes more than you already. But of course, if everyone followed this, the artist would go broke again (possibly). Don Henley (Drummer and Vocalist of The Eagles) said once that many people have this kind of wrong sense of entitlement with art in any case, where they think art and expression should be free to you. But in the end it is a product, and it is made of hard-work and often passion.What do you think of this? Then there is another way of viewing it, as a girl once told me whence explaining why she didn`t buy cd`s... She said something like less than a dollar actually goes to the artist... But in any case even if paying execs and studios, you still have to pay anyway for the artist to thrive, right? Let me know what you think.
