Steven Seagal has a few albums out. Andy Lau has about a billion albums, just like a billion other Asian actors and actresses. So in his case, and Jackie Chan etc, it's not as unusual as it in certain times have been incredibly popular to work this way. I haven't heard everything he's ever done, but this song is just beyond fantastic. Meiko Kaji is another one. She is easily among my all time favourite actors, and she's released some incredible music as well. In fact she's a personal favourite of mine. Quentin Tarantino used two of her songs in Kill Bill, Shura no Hana and Urami Bushi.

Dungeon synth maste Old Sorcery, who have kept releasing fantastic albums and EPs since 2017, just released his first black metal album as well. Day 4: Ghost Killers vs. Bloody Mary - Ghost Killers vs. Bloody Mary is a Brazilian cheesefest that is slightly too long (about 15-20 minutes), but is also filled with hilarious jokes, buckets on buckets on buckets on buckets on buckets etc. with blood, gore, sleaze, craziness and everything in-between. Think Ghostbusters meets Evil Dead meets Abbott and Costello Meets Frankenstein or something. It's incredibly 80's, and it totally works. 8/10

Day 3: Vampires vs. the Bronx - Vampires vs. the Bronx is a new film distributed by Netflix, and it's a really fun and charming movie. It feels familiar, and it feels incredibly 80's in all its camp, cheese and moral, and I really liked it. Think Attack on the Block and The Lost Boys meets The Goonies, and you're kinda there. 8/10 Also plus for having horror nerd Luis rocking both a Ghost and Slayer tee. That's pretty rad.

Day 2: Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight - This is such a fun movie, and it really works. I would not have mind if this was the last episode of the series, because of just fits so well with the series. It's got darkness, it's got cheese, it's good sleaze, it's got comedy, it's got blood, violence and gore, and it's all around really fun. Super underrated film. 810

And we're on the way: Day 1: Jason X - Silly, cheesy and dumb, for pretty fun. Contains one of the best kills in the series, and it's pretty enjoyable. 6/10

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday - Uh... well, after having been taken by surprise by how fun the previous entries have been I must say this was awfully disappointing. Some cool gore and violence, but the plot is a mess, and the whole supernatural element did not work in this movie at all. This would've been so much cooler if Jason went to hell and fucked people up there. Heh. 4/10

Been re-watching some of the later Friday the 13th movies, and to my huge surprise they're way, way, way better then I remembered. Friday the 13th: A New Beginning - This is in some ways Friday the 13th own Halloween III: Season of the Witch, which is also criminally underrated. It's straight-forward as hell, with loads of murders, blood, gore, nudity and drugs. Can't ask for much more, can ye? Probably the sleaziest in the franchise. 8/10 Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives - This is one of the best in the series. What hit me this time is that the new action elements, as well as metahumour, made it seem very inspired by the great The Town That Dreaded Sundown. 9/10 Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood - While supernatural elements had already been included in a previous movie, this takes it all to a new level with way more supernatural elements and it works really well. 8/10 Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - Super underrated, and obviously very different than the previous movies. This is, by far, the most visually impressive movie in the franchise, and the first 70 minutes or so on the boat are brilliant. When they come to Manhattan it turns into more of a campy movie, but it still works really well. Had a blast! 8/10 Will watch the rest before the week is over. Will also re-watch Halloween III: Season of the Witch and the following Halloween movies next month. Probably Hellraiser II and the rest of that franchise as well. I watched the entire Nightmare on Elm Street franchise not too long ago, and I was completely taken by surprise at how much better part 3-> was. So I realized I have to re-watch a lot of the later movies in the other big franchises as well. Should be fun!

Viking-era Bathory worship to the core, and some of the best Bathory worship I've ever heard. His debut album, " Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum", was more in the vain of "Blood Fire Death", and it's pretty good. But "Odes" is all about "Twilight of the Gods" and it's absolutely brilliant. There's not a single second of originality on the entire album, but I'm fine with that as "Twilight of the Gods" are among my favourite albums ever, and this is basically a part 2. Not quite as good, but not too far away either. His third album of original material, "Collapse", was more in the vain of the thrashing "Requiem". It's also good, but "Odes" is, by far, his masterpiece so far. It's absolutely amazing. His second album was a Bathory cover album, and it's fine but he never reaches the originals or adds anything new to the songs, so I'd rather just listen to the original songs.

New album is out and it's a step up for sure. I thought Cult of a Dying Sun was close to awful, but this sounds great. Maybe even more Dissection-esque than before, but I am more than fine with that.

Oh hell yeah! The concept of this found footage movie isn't anything new, but the execution is just awesome. It's made during the corona pandemic and is kinda similar to both Unfriended, Unfriended: Dark Web and The Den in many ways, but the execution is just so much better. And one of the reasons for that is the lenght of the movie. It clocks in at 55 minutes and it's not a single dull moment tbh. The scares works really well, even the cheap ones, and the atmosphere is really nice. Thought this was fantastic. @Jigsaw9

Just watched this and I cannot recommend this enough. This might be the most important documentary that's been made over the past 30 years. Incredibly important and incredibly interesting. An absolute must tbh.

It's so good they finally covered this officially. I've seen them live several times now, and despite having original material that is just sublime, this cover has always been among their best live tracks. It's just to good, too catchy, too much fun.

I agree about the first one being better, but I still love both. But with Vincent Price in his prime I could've done with 10 more sequels tbh. He's just too damn good.

The director and main cast of Get Duked! directed and appeared in the newest Run the Jewels with 2 Chainz btw. HE's done some music videos before, and he did include Run the Jewels on the soundtrack of Get Duked!. That's actually how I got across the movie. I was watching the video and saw who the directed and cast was. That's so cool! Dr. Phibes Rises Again is fantastic. Have you seen the excellent The Abominable Dr. Phibes as well? It's awesome. Robert Fuest is a fantastic and sadly underrated director, and Vincent Price is, obviously, one of the greats names in all of cinema. Robert Quarry is also one of the greats. Amazing actors!

Man, the world is just so fucking weird. About 6-7 years ago I used to take the night bus home drunk and kept meeting the same guy, a "thrasher" who had similar taste to me, and we always talked about music, girls and whatever. And we usually joked about starting a thrash metal band together, inspired by Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust etc. But just as a joke of course. Over the past 3 months or, me and a very good friend, have had some of my good friend's friends play stuff for us as neither of us play any instruments (I've written the songs, but I can't play any instruments so we need session musicians). I know the drummer and bassist from before, but the guitarist, who is a friend of my friend, is someone I did not know who was. I do know his band and all, but not who he was. I did however meet the guitarist for the first time yesterday as we were filming some promo stuff and god damn it, it was the guy from 6+ years ago. And now he's playing with my band, playing thrash metal inspired by Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust etc. It's so fucking random and weird. How the hell? Hahaha! But fun of course. Always seemed like a really nice and cool guy, so that's a huge plus.

I ain't joking when I am saying this is the funniest comedy since Superbad, but alongside being fucking hilarious throughout it's also thrilling as it's got a thriller/horror element to it. Just a superb video overall. A must see! @Jigsaw9

Oh man, this was magnificent. Not sure I ever heard the demo, but after hearing this track I really can't wait to hear the whole thing. Epic and medieval black metal. The video is pretty nice for a lyric video as well. Would've been even better without the lyrics. Gorgeous visuals.

Binged Cobra Kai in a couple of days and thought it was bloody superb. The choreography is, for most part, messy and rather poor, the acting is at times good and at other times bloody awful, but everything just went so well together and the series just had this genuine 80's feeling to it. Was like watching something from the 80's. Awesome! Can't wait for a new season.

There's been many good metal covers of Bloody Tears from Castlevania, but this takes the entire fucking cake. Holy shit, this was more than excellent!
