I guess you are right - it is really only the chorus melody that is altered. Great song either way.

After hearing DECAYS and Sukekiyo, it is so clear that influence that Kaoru has on the bands sound. It is why he has always been my favorite member as I know the dark and agressive sound is cultivated mostly by his musical direction. When it comes to choosing remakes, I was suprised that 深い [Fukai] vs. (the Code of Vulgarism version) wasn't listed. I honestly love both versions of that song, and to this day it is one of my favorite Diru B-Sides, mostly because that was the height of my Diru obsession when I was in High school in Japan. For that reason, many of my most nostalgic and beloved songs come from the 鬼葬 [Kisou] - WTD era, but I still love their new and old songs too. I never understood all the hate for MOAB - Songs like 艶かしき安息、躊躇いに微笑み [Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tamerai ni Hohoemi], 凌辱の雨 [Ryoujoku no Ame], and The Pledge are some of my Diru favorites - and just becasue the band dabbled in Metalcore after the Family values tour doesn't mean they executed it poorly - I'll never forget the energy of The Fatal Beliver as the opening song when I saw them at the NYC Inward Scream show. It is hard choosing favorites amongst the massive discog they have.

The title makes me pessemistic.

It was meh for me until the breakdown section came in, then it picked up.

Standard lynch. song. You won't hear me complaining - I can dig it.

I never heard of kamome before this, so it was a new experience for me. I'm a fan of Hardcore when in the right mood, and I thought the energy was there, but in all, I prefer the VK sound of The Black Swan. I would need more kamome exposure before I can state I like them more. Both are decent - and Jin's vocals are something I have become acoustomed to, so this vote was easy for me.

I used to like Pierrot quite a bit, and when I saw Karyu join the group - I really thought I would love Angelo, but with every release, I am usually not enthralled by them. As always, I will listen to the EP, but I think my tastes have changed over the years. The previews sound ok - but not much more than that.

I was thinking the exact same thing about The Deeper Vileness related to the Feast of V Sense performance - that performance and song truly rocked. I do think The Inferno is low tier based on the list presented, as tracks like Decayed Crow execute chaos much better. My personal least favorites are when they try to execute sludge metal songs, like the 罪と規制 [Tsumi to Kisei] remake off the Different Sense single, or The Blossoming Beelzebub off DSS. I just can't get into the pace or atmosphere - I get bored.

The dark sound of Hagane was the track that immediately stood out to me as well. It is the heaviest I have heard them, and I think the delivery of the vocals by Suzuhana Yuuko fit well with the haunting atmosphere. Akatsuki no Ito and Tsuioku also were my other new favorites from the album. Still a fan, and very pleased with their original compositions.

Finally - I was starting to wonder if they were going to break up after that "EP". I liked the first offering and feel they have the potential to really give us something amazing. Looking forward to this album.

I will hold out for a release like this as the first listen experience is a ritual for me. I would hate to experience tracks out of order in sub-par quality - it seems this is the standard being leaked. However - see all of the discussion is killing me...

Great track - I'm all about the guitar solo love and the intro heaviness.

I love when lynch. explore their softer side with tracks like this. It shows their range. Nice track.

Wow - this sucks. I loved their releases. Disappointment for a band that had a lot of promise.

Most of the bands I miss were already mentioned in spades, such as D'espairsRay, Code Rebirth, Kagrra,, -Oz- and Deluhi. The love for Janne da Arc right out of the gate made me smile - they were one of the first J-rock groups I listened to, so I was happy to hear that. I'm glad meth. [メス] was mentioned. Bands I don't recall seeing were Eat You Alive, Signal and the legendary Siam Shade.

Not sure why this album features an electronic opener. Track 2 - Dogma - sounded like it had the right atmosphere for an opener. I felt the electronic opener was out of place. I'm excited outside of that - bring the heavy.

That was cool. I like the promise I heard in those previews. The chorus was more pop-centric than I expected, but the overall sound was nice. I'll keep an ear out for GAGA.

From the previews, it sounds like there are a lot of fast paced, heavy numbers in this album - which I know I will enjoy. I hope the tempo and pacing of songs is varied - as a lot of the previews sounded similar, save for tracks like 'Grudge' and 'Ominous'. I'll save my full judgement until the release - but I know I will enjoy the record - like with most GazettE releases.

Not a bad mid-tempo rocker. Reminded me of SIM a bit. Taama's delivery is what makes it special.

First off, as stated by others, the visuals in the video are amazing and create the literal "ominous" feeling that fit the music. I can respect a band that goes out of there way to reflect the feeling of their concept in their music videos in addition to the music itself. My favorite feature of the song was the non-traditional structure that the band explored on the track. I can't help but compare it to Dir en grey as it reminds me of structures in Arche, where defined choruses are not entirely clear and bridges/solos are placed in non-predictable places, creating an exciting journey that left me interested in what was coming next. The production quality was outstanding and created an impressive atmosphere with headphones. The use of sampling really set the tone of the song, and the variation of instrumentation, mixing acoustic and electric instruments, kept it interesting. I especially liked the way the acoustic guitars floated into the opening verses and the "True Dread" sampling in the center of the song. However, in terms of vocal lines, there were no real memorable melodic hooks I noticed after the first few listens. For this, there were moments the song dragged on. Consequently, my overall impression of the song was not entirely positive. Despite this, I admire the clear focus of the band to create a song that is outside of their standard comfort zone. I wish that the closer wasn't the first track we heard were properly presented, as I think it will reduce the impact of the album in context after the first, formal listen. I'll forgive that though, since I can't resist sampling it. Of course, I am stoked to hear the entire album. In all, I'd give this a 6/10 score. There was enough experimentation to keep my interest, but no moments memorable enough to make me fall in love.

I love the Tempo changes in the track! It sounds stellar!!!

All things Pura are bound to be good. I loved Slow and Mime, so this should follow nicely.

I also can't really tell if Die is singing as all I hear is Koba. It sounds like Karma era Mucc to me - which for me is very meh. I'm glad I heard it, but don't feel any hype over it. I'll spin the releases to see if it connects then, but thus far it is just OK.

I really liked Division (especially the first disk) - In fact, 籠の蛹 [Kago no Sanagi] and Gabriel on the Gallows are among some of my favorite tracks by them. It sounds like there will be some decent heavy songs on the album - and given the imagery of the videos, I hope that they can craft songs that are menacing, dynamic, and impassioned like 13Stairs[-]1. The inspirations allude to a darker tone than what was executed on Toxic and BD, and I am looking forward to this much more than those two records.
