i wonder what's the purpose behind this band going for so long, because it's not the popularity that's for sure

So among japanese it's a big difficulty to separate R from L and V from B.
But bash him when he does it right with "serenade" <-> "seleande" because it was misspelled wrong in the past and it should remain wrong.
And bash him when he does it wrong "revellier" <-> "rebellier" because it follows the typical japanese misspell tradition. -

I guess Kisaki owns all Matina release!? -
Idk why everyone think the visual kei bands are something like superstars. Its a very underground genre even in Japan.
There are very few bands (like 10) who can called successful.
The other 100-1000 bands are all struggling and gets support from family, friends and a few fan girl to be able to continue their dream to be famous.
btw better to not mention about the producing of Under Code Production, when Vior Gloire oneman had like 15 people.
the label literally sank after the magnificent 12012-Vidoll-Phantasmagoria trio.deadman and Waru Chibi reacted to this -
Seriously, create so big hype to show they can play literally a fuckin Child Prey rip off?
Sometimes i wonder how people can have so thick skin like this. -
wow, there is at least 10 people
-
If they make 10 copies, yeah, it can be sold out

I agree. They're extremely talented. A really amazing, underrated band!
I can't help but replay their discography constantly and wonder why they weren't more popular...
It's visual kei, no one wants to date a grandpa.

I have seen less than a handful of people on this forum who appreciate Phantasmagoria even the slightest, and that sort of represents today's Visual Kei fan's taste, yes? They wouldn't have an impact on today's scene if this band existed right in this moment, for you can already see that melodious bands don't receive attention (which is exactly what I have been trying to say for the past few posts). And you know that Kisaki writes most of his bands' material, right? The other members only have a slight impact. Visual Kei bands usually have one writer, credits are just given to others to make it appear more divided between members for an audience's eyes.
I think absolutely different, Phantasmagoria and Lin is so far from each other. Look, i respect that you love this band, i agree the metalcore has grown huge but, as @herpes said, Lin is a mess. I feel so absolutely, a long time ago.... since Metamorphose.
Kisaki has a lot of good idea, but it doesn't turn out well like in Phantasmagoria, because you can be 100% sure the Phantasmagoria's songs have not written only by Kisaki. Jun and Iori did an amazing job in arrangement and he could work better with Riku about lyrics at that time.
Lin had a big chance to be famous just because of Kisaki and Riku's history, but the songs was not enough good, that's it. Look at the Oricon first week sales. As if Forever Exists 2000+, Metamorphose ~900, Silent To My pain ~700. Flowers Bloom ~400 and since that it's getting worse and worse. It's not because the scene changed, it's because the people realized Lin won't be ever on the same level of Phantasmagoria and they gave up on this band. Even with Megaromania members the band didn't upgrade so much.
-
I don't really agree. It's quiet sad if they can't live off of this band, but Phantasmagoria would kick ass anytime, even now. In fact Kisaki can't write such amazing things by himself.
-
Absolutely not impressed, but give a chance for full songs.

"WE ARE VERY FUCKIN' SHIT NOODLE, BUT..."
but... what?

also I want a new PV too, I wonder why they don't make PVs as much as every other band...
I guess simply they can't afford it, small band.

All 40 of their fans, bless their little hearts.
And people ask in such situations "why my favorite band will disband? T _ T" and than try to explain, because they are living far away, looking cool and making reasonable quality music, that doesn't mean they are successful.
-
"Cancels all band activities" is a bit... overreact!?
Since their live schedule for this month is 1.14 Guest and 1.25-26 2days oneman, that they wont cancel.
So maybe they will stop for a week, no rehearsal, no home-recordings. Maybe their unannounced new materials will be released later, but this no one would recognize anyway...

I haven't listened to the whole discography but I love Kisaki's bass.
At least in Metamorphose, after the poppish intro, the bass is all old school, it reminds me of La:Sadie's.
A good example that you can make old school inspired music while still adding more contemporaneous (struggling with a better word here) sounds.
Metamorphose synth intro and the bass line with guitar madness is awesome, but after this first minute, the song starting to fall-off and during the yawning when you think it can't be more boring, KISAKI shows, IT CAN.
All they had to do is loop the first minute with some similar variety and find the place for the lyrics. If they do, they have an awesome and successful song.
This is the situation for the most of the 凛 song: Break, break, break, break.
-
Metamorphose is one of the best songs I have listened to lately in Visual Kei. It sounds like a refined version of old school Visual Kei with a more contemporaneous touch.
For an old school Visual Kei lover like me, as soon as I heard KIsaki's bass... "wooooooh, I love this!!".
It might become one of those classics (Riku's version).
凛 song's main theme are usually pretty cool, interesting and original. But KISAKI always breaks the tempo and the power for some cheap artistic kitsch that ruin the song as a whole.
Metamorphose and Silent to my pain could've been a fuckin' blast if the arrangement is better.

Well, that escalated quickly.
KISAKI PROJECT feat.砂月 new mini-album "傷心の色彩" release

I don't think it's a re-activated project, what i get is it's more likely old songs remastered (or not) + unreleased song(s) from that era.
