resurrecting this thread because i recently learned of a brand 「albino」 doing 'mode-kei' fashion (not sure how to explain this in english, sorry) that's unisex but on the "feminine" side, using mainly white/black. gallery: http://albino-sk.com/?mode=grp&gid=1271836&sort=n my friend who's on the design team for a 109mens brand showed this to me and i was blown away by its elegance. doubt it's easy to pull off that look though ._.

Co-signing everyone who mentioned FoLLoW's 2 VA songs (Pinocchio and Ningyohime). Pinocchio is simply magical, and I know @kareta-uta will agree with me Masashi's vocals are perfect for music of this style and in my heart I doubt anyone else will come close to nailing the feels as well as him. I was just joking to @Mihi that FoLLoW is sooo dumb for 'wasting' their 2 best songs on omnibus releases from which they probably won't even make much profit XDD although on a more serious note, they definitely gained more fans as a result. Their early releases were a little hit/miss for me ("For you..." to "Summer Time") mainly because it's hard to tell what sound the band is going for. My favorite from this period is probably Dancing Venus... although I marginally prefer its re-recorded version which you can find in "Until," a release that I enjoyed on the whole. They gave out a live-distributed at each of first two one-man lives, and I'm still missing "snow again," which is killing me because my friend keeps telling me it's an amazing song - I just hope to hear it one day. I think FoLLoW really began to consolidate a more distinctive sound with "Uppercut!!" and after. They still have their fun and live-oriented tracks, but even those have become more polished and memorable than earlier attempts. Not to mention that Masashi improved A LOT within a relatively short span of time. I know some people aren't a fan of "Jekyll&Hide" and the upcoming "Music Garden" but I think they are competent songs. Of course my favorite A-side is still "Planetarium" by some distance, with "LAST DAY" coming in second (btw here's a short clip of Masashi singing the opening of "LAST DAY" in the studio even though you could tell he still hasn't fully recovered from his cold.. ) oh and Masashi's favorite song is 告白大作戦! finally, a photo of the albums before they're delivered to the cd shops:

i have 2 friends with perfect pitch who always tell me how annoying it is to not be able to 'unlearn' that skill. i think it's pretty much the same case with synaesthesia, although i don't know enough about it to know if it can also be the result of subconscious drives that, with time, associate e.g. certain days of the week with certain colors (as in the case of Pho), or it's purely owing to being biologically 'hard-wired' differently (which has more or less been established to be the case for people with perfect pitch). i guess there are borderline cases as well. discussing this topic reminds me of the indian mathematician S. Ramanujan. that guy probably saw numbers in an entirely different light (as colors? idk) from everyone else who had learned them through systematic understanding and logical deduction, etc. it's fascinating how he practically discovered millenia worth of mathematical proofs and results on his own before his tragically early death; today, mathematicians are still studying his late notebooks while constantly stumbling upon proofs of mathematical structures that haven't even been named when Ramanujan was alive.

speaking for myself: i'm rather flexible with the timing thanks to my highly irregular schedule (lol). unfortunately the 8pm GMT official session takes place at probably what is the worst possible time for me (4am) XD as for beni's suggestion, 1pm GMT sounds like a good time; however i also won't mind something a little earlier or later if it means more people can be around.

Yes I love their outfit too! It's not nearly as outrageous as most vk costumes but still gaudy in a cool and fashionable way And to everyone who's interested in FoLLoW: any favorite song? or favorite member? music-wise their style shifted quite noticeably after their lineup changes, any thoughts on that?

This was the lineup that night I think most people had expected Purple Stone to come in 2nd behind SHIVA, but they placed 3rd in the votes and everyone was a little disappointed (well, actually i should say mainly the Purple Stone fans who were there and whom I talked to after the live). And you would think a reasonably popular band like Azlina or Zigzag pipped them to a higher place right? But noooo... apparently first was Axkey LOL. I could hardly believe it when my friend told me. SHIVA was 2nd after Axkey.

ohh this was from the little hearts sponsored live where there was a vote at the end i know there was a livestream but i was out so i didn't catch it. thanks @CloudyTreefor letting us know that it was uploaded!! i fucking love panic panic... can't wait for its release >_>

3,800 is what you pay at the door, which is always 500 yen more. the actual ticket price is 3,300 which is well within the range of what you see for 95% of vk lives (3,000-3,500 yen)
