lol @ this promotion. I kinda dig it though (even the cheesy "PAIN" video).

I wouldn't say useless. i think these do a better job of creating hype and anticipation than 30 second samples. I don't want to have the entire album spoiled before I'm able to listen to it in its entirety.
-
Damn you people sure know how to make definitive statements based off of 10 second samples... "that went downhill" "Mediocre album" "DSS/Uroboros like" "Going to be their best album" "Going to be their worst album" etc etc etc... I have enjoyed the majority of what I've heard, but in no way can I make any kind of definitive statement about how this album will turn out. Like I said, I remain optimistic that this album will deliver. However, might I be mistaken? Most definitely.
-
My optimism still remains intact. Second half sounds just as good if not better, based off these snippets.

I liked DSS, and still enjoy it to this day. I remember when the samples first released for DSS (on amazon I think), I remember freaking out too saying it was going to be amazing as well. Now that I've come back to earth, I'm gonna hold back my excitement and try to bring my expectations back down. I love that this album is shaping up to be a bit more melodic though; that's when Dir en grey is at their best, imo. But again, we still have no idea... we've only heard such a small percentage here.

Omg omg omg omg omg omg.... Headphones check. Headphones plugged in.... check. Pants down (just kidding)... check. Be back in a sec... EDIT: Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg But seriously. I know they're 10-second samples, but damn. I literally cannot wait any more.

Not nearly as disturbing as your avatar

What we heard: 2 [presumed] choruses (the other few snippets didn't sound like a chorus to me) Tracklist: 14 new songs (2 old) "Most" seems a little strong. Plus I find the two choruses to be FAR superior in structure and melody compared to the chorus of STU. We have heard about 0.5% of this album... literally. We have absolutely no idea what the rest will sound like, and that's pretty exciting imo.

I very much enjoyed this type of 'teaser'. Sure, you can call the actual content cheesy and whatnot, but I like that we only got very small snippets of a very few amount of songs. I wouldn't mind if there's no samples posted until the release... it's always fun going into an album having little-to-no idea what's going to transpire. And that first melody is pretty damn beautiful. I have high hopes for this release.

Less than a month to go! Almost time for some samples?

Squid? lol Roots... like captain obvious up there was saying. Very cool cover.

They definitely sound remastered to me, but I think it's a bit more noticeable in Sustain the untruth than it is in Rinkaku.
-
I believe LOTUS was re-recorded or mixed different between the album version and the single, and I much prefer the album version. So I have hope that every single can improve.

Sounds excellent. Between this and Giru's mini, it should be a good couple weeks!
-
You mean to tell me they have aged over the last 17+ years??? *GASP* Who gives a fuuuu about how old they look. My excitement meter for this album is off the charts. Despite enjoying DSS quite a bit, I always felt a *tinge* of disappointment with it, especially since it followed Uroboros (damn near perfect album imo). Stoked to see what Arche brings to the table.
-
Song is great, definitely looking forward to this mini.
-
And no one cares about the new album?

New album titled "ARCHE", meaning "root" in Greek, will be released December 10th!

No! [1]

Aaaaaaaand I'll be playing that higher quality sample of Zephyr for the next two weeks. Best melody from Kyo in quite a while imo.
-
Insanely good. This is gonna be a hell of an album.
-
Seriously? *sigh*
-
Wow, literally getting better and better. That is the best list yet imo. Kudos to them, these are the kinda sets that fans have been pining years for.

Where did I say "buy"? I love these DVD's for the quality live footage they provide, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to plunk down $80 every time a DVD/Blu-ray comes out. As long as this band doesn't go all "5 NEW SINGLEs IN 3 MONTH" shit I'm fine. Complaining over DVD releases of various tours is asinine. Some fans love it, some not so much. You aren't being forced to purchase them, and you aren't missing anything new if you refuse to.
