Even though I think they've been in a creative slump starting from their last album, I had to go with Grieva. Many great releases, solid live performance (judging by DVDs), catchy songs. Kuroyuri to kage or DIAURA would have been my runner-up btw. I'm indifferent about Gossip.

For sure, I think DIR EN GREY is far more popular in the (online) international community. ...tho I did vote for them based on my preference, without first reading the first post thoroughly, lol. Anyway, X were great for like 3-5 years, while I've enjoyed almost everything DEG put out during their ~20 years of existence, so I'll have to go with them just for that. You can't deny that X's first 2 albums are stone-cold classics tho (and their 3rd one is solid as well).
  4. That DVD trailer looks/sounds so badass. Mah DEZERT boyz yesssss

Just through my first listen of The Gouster, I think it's a pretty cool album. Tho I've only stuck with his main album discography for all my life, so I didn't know these extra 2 tracks that had been apparently released before as bonus tracks on some remastered editions etc. To me, the whole thing is like how Young Americans would have sounded in an alternative reality: a bit different, but not much. I still prefer the "original" previously released one ofc, but this is a nice addition to my virtual collection. I haven't checked any of the other discs of the box set, cuz I already have all of those and I doubt the sound is ~that~ much better (talking about the live recordings here). They are pretty awesome live albums tho, as far as I can remember, especially David Live with all those different arrangements for his back-catalogue-at-the-time. Btw my favorite live album from him is probably Stage, cuz the Berlin era is my shit. But I haven't really heard any bad live albums from Bowie (speaking of the '70s), so I haven't said much with that. xD A Reality Tour is pretty kickass too, some fun old songs mixed in with newer ones that sound even better live than in the studio (also, I looove Gail Ann Dorsey on bass).

^ Yesss Lady Grinning Soul is excellent! btw I still haven't checked that 'technically unreleased' old album, shame on me. ;w; Also, the cast album of the Lazarus play will come out on October 21, and if I'm understanding it correctly it should contain 3 original new songs sung by Bowie himself (songs that were featured in the play, but haven't been released in his version yet). Excited!

^ Thanks for The Cure review! Sounds pretty much like what I expected from this tour. I'm still pondering on going to their gig here in Budapest. On the one hand, I've never seen them live but I've heard they're a great live band, and on the other hand cuz they're playing like 34-35 songs as I can see. xD Anyway, I enjoy almost everything from their discography (tho not too big on memorizing particular songs, lol), so I might as well just go if my schedule permits.
  10. Yeah, surprising / cool to see Shuuji-1 in hereeee also yay @ one-night hurts revival~

Chargeeeeee is love, Chargeeeeee is life. <3 Had the pleasure of seeing him drum both for ZIZ and SPEECIES (his current full-time bands, tho I think he's only officially a member of ZIZ). Amazing dude.
  13. Just for info: their CD will be available to buy in advance at their next gig "HAUNTED SUNDAY BASH" at 渋谷 Glad, 2016/10/16.

    I'll be there in a bit~

What a month! Started out kinda slow for me musically, but over the last week or two I've been like "damn, how am I gonna listen to all this new stuff?" Anyway, real good haul. I don't have that much time or energy to format my post so nicely, so here's just a quick rundown: Favorites BUCK-TICK - アトム 未来派 No.9 / Can't believe how great this is. Chock-full of awesomeness, little details and catchy tunes. Some of their best material to date! Death in Rome - Hitparade / Pop hits reworked in a morose militaristic neofolk style? It's as hilarious as it is brilliant. Truly touching in a weird way. Mykki Blanco - Mykki / Weirdo rapper Mykki's done it again. Easily his catchiest, smoothest and most polished work so far. One big earworm all throughout. Padkarosda - Tétova Lelkek / A dark and gritty cavalcade of old-school punk and post-punk, with a hint of goth. No wonder they're one of my top fave local bands. Honorable mentions clipping. - Splendor & Misery / Totally out-there minimalistic experimental noisy hip-hop sci-fi concept album. Unique as hell, that's for sure. GosT - Non Paradisi / This might become a favorite, just needs more listens. Awesome atmosphere and bangin' tracks. All hail synthwave hell! KEEL - Raison d'être et de sang / Typical KEEL as always, pretty good for a few spins. Solid stuff. lynch. - AVANT GARDE / Typical lynch. as always, etc. copy+paste from above.

      Atreides

I just started listening to the album and I'm really impressed! They never fail to put out a good album.

  18. Doesn't sound as good or interesting as I hoped (so far), but looking forward to it still!
  19. My sweethearts from Budapest released a new album. Biting & dark post-punk bordering on deathrock / old-school punk, excellent yet again. http://padkarosda.bandcamp.com/album/t-tova-lelkek (random trivia: the title "Tétova Lelkek", meaning "Hesitant Souls", was originally the Hungarian title of the cult movie "Gummo")

^ Yeah, the chorus thing was kind of its downfall I guess. Also I gotta agree, the 'rock-ish' vibe sounds fake and bland (tho that's my opinion of 90% of pop artists who try to be 'rock' in a song or two anyway).
  21. Jigsaw9

The new song ain't bad imo. It did feel kinda like one big chorus repeating over and over and over and over again tho. xD
  22. Jigsaw9

Okay, that was pretty frickin' good. Saying this as someone who probably only really liked 2-3 TBS songs so far. XD
