  1. So the first full trailer is out. Not gonna lie, I heavily dig it. Even though the dialogue is borderline cringy typical blockbuster fare.

Tammie Brown is still the true supreme queen we all deserve.
  3. ∀NTI FEMINISM is somehow closer to my heart, with their raw hardcore punk sound, and of course their magnetic/crazy frontman Kenzi. That said, I prolly couldn't remember any of either band's songs even at gunpoint, lol.
  4. Jigsaw9

Oh wow. 2016 continues to deliver both in tragedy and juicy band gossip/shenanigans.
  5. Kazuyuki Kishino a.k.a. KK Null (Zeni Geva frontman/mastermind) & Balázs Pándi (frequent Merzbow collaborator among others) will release their new album "Demoncore" on 12-inch LP featuring KK's mind-melting noise-scapes and Pándi's insane free-flowing drum work. To commemorate the occasion they are doing a Europe tour soon: You can already listen to a totally tripped-out track below: can't waitttttttttt

    this is still the best.
  7. Jigsaw9

Fantastic! Gonna try to be there.
  8. Jigsaw9

Nice. I see they might be back to the more obscure industrial-ish sound I fell for when I got to know them through their debut. Hoping the album will deliver!
  9. Couldn't care less about the music, but I'm totally here for the dude whose channeling Anna-Varney.

Damnnnnnn that new song makes me feel all the merii feels again. Thanks for sharing.

J.G. Ballard: The Atrocity Exhibition - Weird experimental novel with the usual Ballardian sexual objectification of cars, architecture, celebrity and violence in general. Very "out there" and a bit hard to follow at first, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. You just need to remember a few key things and then let your mind wander on the surreal images (the author's added notes for the chapters help a great deal too). Pretty cool so far, all in all. Kálmán Jódal: Die Liebe - The latest super-zany volume of the super-zany Serbian-Hungarian author, does not disappoint. Imagine putting pop culture, high and low art in a blender and then re-playing and re-converting everything until you get something that kinda shouldn't make sense but it somehow does, anyway. His usual rapid-fire images are abandoned here more and more in favor of something that resembles coherent story-telling too.

^ Yep! I love all of them kind of equally. Actually, I just re-listened to the first two again before diving into the new one. Still great stuff.

Cool picks, guys! Unfortunately I'm still in the process of digesting the many many potentially great releases that were released in October, but once I feel like I've listened to everything I wanted, I'll be sure to check back here with my picks. Till then, all I can comment is HELL YEAH, that new Hail Spirit Noir album hits the spot! I'm not even through my first listen, but I already know this is one of my favorite things this year. I'm just here listening and grinning from ear to ear, it's so much fun. I gotta listen to these guys more frequently.
  14. ^ To me, it wasn't godawful but I do agree that they did much much better works in the past. This new one was good for one spin, but I won't have the urge to re-play it anytime soon.

To me, it kinda just sounds like "The Shuuji Show feat. some random old dudes tinkering in the background" ... tho I guess it's his voice that turns everything into that, haha. It's not bad, just not too enjoyable for me (instrumentally, plus coupled with that voice).
  16. Jigsaw9

I was initially excited for this, but now I dunno... I don't find Shuuji's voice suited to EX-ANS at all. Not convinced by the new snippets either. :/
  17. Jigsaw9

Never has my excitement died down so quickly, lol.
  18. ^ I agree, Meshuggah and TDEP both released extremely solid albums this year (not to mention Vektor too, yep!). Just started listening to the new Deathspell Omega, so far so good.
  19. Great year in metal so far, I agree. As it is now, these albums stood out to me the most (and I still haven't listened to a handful of potentially awesome releases!). Spektr – The Art to Disappear Chthe'ilist – Le Dernier Crépuscule Gehennah - Too Loud to Live, Too Drunk to Die Khanus - Rites of Fire Cobalt - Slow Forever Bus - The Unknown Secretary Uada - Devoid of Light Occult Burial - Hideous Obscure Vektor - Terminal Redux Kvelertak - Nattesferd Nails - You Will Never Be One of Us Denner/Shermann - Masters of Evil Sewercide - Immortalized in Suffering Asphalt Graves - The New Primitive Hellbringer - Awakened From The Abyss Meshuggah - The Violent Sleep of Reason Tortorum - Rotten. Dead. Forgotten. The Dillinger Escape Plan - Dissociation Anaal Nathrakh - The Whole of the Law
  20. Beautiful! Looking forward to the album.

I'll just leave this here~ ***Katya the True All-Star*** ;>
  22. ^ Cool stuff! I'll see Crowbar in November too, alongside Overkill, which should be an interesting/nice pairing. Also, Goatwhore are killer live too.
  23. ^ Sorry, I would write in here if I had the time to react/listen to all the potentially awesome new stuff coming out, but these past weeks the only thing I wanna listen to is just random old stuff. xD In the spirit of that comment: Weedeater is pretty kickass! Been spinning them (along with some Eyehategod and Dopethrone) recently.
