This reminds me I gotta step up my Jeff Noon game, Vurt was great. Currently reading: - Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman: an interesting and vivid account of mental illness, with some appropriately weird and quirky scenes. - Distant Star by Roberto Bolaño: can't decide if this is supposed to be darkly humorous or just dark, but it sure is bleak and somehow elegant.

The new Tyler album is *fire emoji*

^ iirc he did stuff like that as far back as the late '90s (but only after the shows then), but yeah there was a period later on where he did that on stage... dunno if it was for serious or not, but he was pretty zonked out of his mind around that time. xD

Haha, thanks. It was actually quite awesome, more or less on par with my expectations. Of course there were parts when his voice went kinda weird and at times he skipped a line of lyrics or two, but overall I can't complain. Especially since this was my first time seeing him after all those years of listening to his music. And they played 3 new as-of-yet-unreleased songs (and a neat ambient-y guitar solo interlude thingie) to boot, which sounded dope as hell!

Going to Marilyn Manson's gig tonight, first show of the tour! I'm half-excited (cuz omg he was the reason that I seriously got into music like 17 years ago) and half-nervous (cuz lol he's old and out of shape, and will prolly suck a bit).

Agreed with all of this.

Not bad. Might check this out once it drops.

I'm a huge fan of music / band documentaries, so this was pretty mediocre and a let-down. Agreed with most of Dispo's points. Ultimately, it was shallow and pointless.

Would be fun to hear someone like lynch or MUCC cover this track in a beefed-up metallic version: edit: Also, this just sounds tailored for MERRY.

Okay, that was pretty entertaining.

^ I guess I get what you're saying. It's just that it's still kinda unbelievable for me that such a thoroughly interesting and 'otherworldly' musical entity as sukekiyo can exist within (or spawned from) visual kei that I'm still just kinda in 'mind = blown' mode and perfectly content with whatever they do. Not to discredit the VK scene as a whole, but ya know, it's rarely the breeding ground for experimental and high-quality acts like this.

lol @ talking about "evolving" when it's a band that's literally only been releasing music for 3 years but okay. I'll just be here in my corner quietly enjoying the music. ^^

For those looking for an overseas-friendly way of acquiring the new album: it is now available to pre-order at CDJapan! http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/PYRAMID-6

Yeah, that's why I'm a bit skeptical they'll go "all out" with it. xD But here's to hoping they'll gather together the more hard-to-get stuff, next to some fan favorites.

Curious about the tracklist for this... if it contains all those one-song singles they released through the past few years, I might buy a copy (also praying for that excellent track from the Ains omnibus to make an appearance).

^ Sounds fun, thanks for the recommendation! In other news, I'm finally listening to the new Dying Fetus album and it is awesome! Might have to go to their gig in October... even more so that they're playing alongside Psycroptic and Beyond Creation.
