^ oooh thanks for the info!

Okay, there you go, it actually is, lol.

Totally went down the vapid autotuned-to-hell trash hip-hop rabbit hole since yesterday, but discovering some true gems here... also getting into Desiigner and Lil Yachty a bit, lmao.

Yay, thanks! The world needs more English karrygarry~ <3 Also, to me that line feels like a corny/edgy self-description from a dating profile or something (to keep with the theme of the song xD). Like, "I'm this and this, and 26 years old".

There are 2-3 tracks there that piqued my interest, but so far it sounds pretty meh to me, as expected.

heck yes

This is the most random pairing ever, but cool nonetheless!

For now, I've kinda 'got over' VK I guess. I cannot go more than half a minute listening to any sort of Japanese music basically, just got so tired of the same tropes repeated over and over again. Sometimes I go back to some old favorites ofc, like maybe once every month. Also, this isn't unusual for me. It's like this with any kind of music genre or style. Sometimes you get over-saturated with a particular sound and then you need to take a break from it to listen to something else. I'll prolly find my way back in a few months for a bit again. But will I return to the habits of the first few years after I discovered Japanese music (and that was basically everything I listened to)? Not likely.

Yeahhhhh boiiii excited for this one!

New song. Just wanted to be as spontaneous and random as possible. Inspired by James Chance & The Contortions, with a side of cali≠gari and The Cramps. https://jigsawjohnny.bandcamp.com/album/rag-bone-dance

So I guess they might come back . . . LATER.

^ Gotta love Grave Pleasures. Can't wait for the new album! Should be pretty rockin'. Also, I randomly stumbled upon this band, and..uhmm.......yeahhh.
-
^ Sounds pretty nice, thanks for the recc! I've heard the name but as with much angura stuff, their music was next to impossible to find, so I quickly forgot about them.

Oh man, I don't know where to start. I think I'll just go alphabetically. xD Dali: Lovedddd these guys, especially their singles and mini albums, tho their full-length wasn't half bad either. Also, as much as I liked them, everything they did after 2009 is boring garbage for me ("Tricolor Crawl", etc). E'm~grief~: Lord, this was such a clusterfuck but I adored every second of it. xDDD Whether they were doing cheesy & kinky sex dungeon electro-goth or straight up ripping off Dimmu Borgir, they had something. hurts: My goth-punk boiz. No frills vk punk rock that might seem plain at times, but it was totally perfect for what they were going for. Shame that they didn't last long. Mar'derayla: MY ULTIMATE FAVES. They had a really cool thing going on with a dark tone but still lots of variety. Out of all the UC bands, I own the most CDs from them I think (a close-to-complete discography). NEGA: This band was a real powerhouse up until their demise. It took a looooong time till I warmed up to them (cuz of Jin's vocals :p) but then I fell hard for them. I fuck with both the old style and the latter era equally. Phantasmagoria: They were my first UC love if I remember correctly. Everything about them was so well thought-out and meticulously designed, with awesome catchy songs. Definitely my favorite of Kisaki's bands. Vior gloire: I am still baffled how such a short-lived band could release something as utterly epic and amazing as the "Gloomy and wakeful night" album. It should become an underground vk classic in a few years imo. Honorable mentions: - 12012: pretty cool stuff, but they tanked hard for me after their first album. Everything afterwards is just bad bad bad. - Himitsu Kessha Codomo A: bleeps and bloops and kanashii #feels in childish angura sauce, what's not to like? - Vidoll: just like 12012, they were interesting in the beginning, then rapidly got onto my 'nope radar'.
-
Cool idea! I'd love if some Guruguru Eigakan-like band turned up in the current scene... I don't even know any newer angura bands to begin with. xD
-
Hoping they'll continue with a similar style they left off with~
-
Wow, this sounds pretty groovy so far! Also, is it just me or do some of these samples sound more traditional 'song-like'? (not a bad thing!)
