Yeah, that might have been the beginning of The Baldening, lol. At least now I know aie and I have something in common. ;w;
-
Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen him NOT wear a hat in the past 7-8 or so years, lmao.
-
Apparently he's okay (if I'm understanding this correctly).

I'm not sure if this was common knowledge, but I just saw that for this tour there will be some variety on the support musician front. Here's the rundown on who will be playing support bass and drums at which gig for deadman: 3月13日HOLIDAY NEXT NAGOYA Bass : kazu (the god and death stars, gibkiy gibkiy gibkiy) Drums : Lotto (ex.Sioux) 3月14日HOLIDAY NEXT NAGOYA Bass : kazu (the god and death stars, gibkiy gibkiy gibkiy) Drums : Lotto (ex.Sioux) 3月18日HOLIDAY SHINJUKU Bass : kazu (the god and death stars, gibkiy gibkiy gibkiy) Drums : Akira Kano (Kishidan, MYTHIC) 3月19日 HOLIDAY SHINJUKU Bass : kazu (the god and death stars, gibkiy gibkiy gibkiy) Drums : Asanao (lynch.) 4月4日SHIBUYA WWW X Bass : kazu (the god and death stars, gibkiy gibkiy gibkiy) Drums : Asanao (lynch.) One of the best news of the year for me so far: new Lychgate EP out on 13th March! A track can already be listened to here: https://lychgate.bandcamp.com/album/also-sprach-futura Seems like it's gonna be a good one. edit: also the opening track is on YT! Killer.

VK is saved, yet again.

LMAO wow, I've only seen this "other bands comment" phenomenon when an old old legacy band releases some anniversary stuff. Way to go Kizu, I guess?
-
LOL yeah, I couldn't bear another years-long wait... I searched back on Canou's twitter, these are the tweets I could find of the recording session from November: ...so hopefully it's all (or mostly) finished since then. :')))

The band is currently doing a short 2-man tour with gibkiy gibkiy gibkiy titled "GIVE ME BLOOD". Awww damn, sucks to hear that. I caught some "graduation live" comment in their Gigs section at one of the upcoming dates, so I was already fearing what that might entail, lol. I may be remembering this incorrectly, but a few months back they were posting some in-studio photos recording stuff, so hopefully this unfortunate development will not delay the album (or not too much).

The new Body Count song is BANGIN' Also I still can't believe Ice is 62 and Ernie is 60. Keep on rockin'!
-
Two oldies from THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT: Funny thing, the mini album is the 1997 re-release which is still in stock at CDJapan, lol.

Welcome to 95% of VK I guess. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Finally watched In Fabric. It was great! Top-notch atmosphere, visuals and music. Also had a few surprisingly funny bits. Cool stuff.
-
Sorry, I wasn't aware what that was (not too familiar with Goatbed). Based on the signature Közi guitar shape and a photo on the Shuuji/Goatbed Twitter taken at the same rehearsal it definitely looks like this was being played as XA-VAT tho.

They're now advertising it as a "new album after 11 years" so I assume that means a full-length album. Also this "11 years" sounded a bit weird for me at first, but then I realized they mean the timespan since they were last called アリス九號, lol. Interesting thing btw, last night they performed a gig containing some cover songs, and also a brand-new track "TESTAMENT." アリス九號. 2020.02.15 よみうりランド 日テレらんらんホール Valentine’s Day LIVE 2020「愛ノ詩ト宴-LOVESONGS-」 01.Heavenly Tale 02.SHINING 03.メビウス 04.ROSARIO 05.flower(L'Arc~en~Ciel) 06.JEWELS 07.Pretender(Official髭男dism) 08.ARMOR RING 09.Sexy Zone(Sexy Zone) 10.CASTLE OF THE NINE 11.恋のメガラバ(マキシマムザホルモン) 12.UNDEAD PARTY 13.理由(DIR EN GREY) 14.闇ニ散ル桜 15.九龍-NINE HEADS RODEO SHOW- ENCORE: 01.明治 02.RED CARPET GOING ON 03.Ray 04.TESTAMENT

A rehearsal video... ...and a snippet of their recent live. awwww these sound so fun~
-
Saw Uncut Gems and Portrait of a Lady on Fire (Portrait de la jeune fille en feu) recently, both were pretty good... tho completely opposite ends of the spectrum, haha.
-
Well, that was kinda...meh. Not bad I guess?
-
Seriously, that was my first thought too, lol.
-
To me NEGA is still the best thing Jin or San has been involved with. Nice to see they keep the nostalgia alive.
-
Prettttty cool! Makes me a bit more hype for their gig next weekend~
-
Ready or Not - I dunno, it was okay....? I went into watching this without any expectations or knowledge of the plot whatsoever, so I guess it was decent for one watch. Plus, it starred that girl from the Baby Sitter movie, she was pretty good here too (although her role was the polar opposite to Baby Sitter, heh). The ending was a bit dumb for me, but otherwise overall the movie wasn't too bad.

I was actually planning on watching it tonight! Great to see all the positive feedback.
