Dang it, forgot to listen to the new downy and LAGITAGIDA albums... gonna have to aid this mistake~ Also, I agree, 88kasyo's and kamomekamome's releases were strong this year! However I didn't find THE NOVEMBERS' album that interesting, only 'kinda okay-ish.' Same goes for Arctic Monkeys (or that was more progressively boring rather xD). Ah right, The Internet is pretty sweet, one of my pleasant 2013 discoveries!

Not bad, tho I liked the crazy song much better. xD

Dat Beastwars stuff sound nice enough, might give them a try. Took the Hedvig Mollestad Trio's album for a spin today btw, good stuff!

^ An "EP" by definition must contain more songs than a single, so I would estimate somewhere between 2 and 4 songs kinda. This track sounds pretty rad, so hopefully the other songs are likewise cool too (tho this is a pretty far cry from the desribed folky-acoustic style XD).

Watched a bunch of stuff lately: Absence - Found-footage movie; pregnant girl's fetus mysteriously and unexplicably disappears overnight, couple plus girl's brother (I think? xD) go to relaxing holiday near the woods, have fun/drama, spooky but kinda boring things happen, lots of flashing blue lights and stuff, then I just fast-forwarded. Boring but at least it didn't have that many jump scares. Alone with Her - Found-footage movie; stalker stalks girl... uhmm, that's more or less it, lol (without giving too much away). Maybe my expectations were too low but it was surprisingly enjoyable! I liked how it wasn't just one camera doing the recording, so it really had that uncomfortable creepy voyeuristic feel. Exhibit A - Yup, found-footage again; family problems escalate out of hand, documented by the daughter and her camera. Also a decent one, this wasn't really the typical thriller/horror type of handheld recording, more like a drama. The everyday characters were really believable too. Cropsey - This was an actual documentary about the disappearance of some children on Staten Island where some pretty crappy-condition mental institute once operated. Of course people found a scapegoat pretty quickly but it's all really hazy without much evidence, only lots of speculation and local boogeyman folklore. Anyway, it was okay for one watching. Side Effects - Saw this for the 2nd time, still a great drama/thriller from this year, highly recommended!

Oh dang, I downloaded that Terra Tenebrosa album ages ago (I guess when you mentioned it in the chat, Zess xD) but still haven't listened. D: Other stuff on the list are not really my cup of tea (except for D.I.D, didn't expect to see them listed btw; cool!) but looking forward to reading part 2.

Been reading Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age for a while now (kinda slowly progressing xD), it's a pretty cool spin on cyberpunk/sci-fi, kinda 'steampunk in the future' vibe.

Cover art looks like Kyo's work, nice.

Sounds nice, thx everyone for the live report bits and pieces. Somehow I imagine it as a more sophisticated and melodic version of Endo Michirou's or Kazuki Tomokawa's folky stuff. xD Hopefully someone can share that live-only EP later.

Might check out that Hedvig Mollestad Trio album, I liked that song you played on plug.dj the other day. (if it was you, I'm not sure now xD)

ex-Psysalia Psysalis Psyche guitarist Toru Matsumoto messaged me on Facebook about this project or band called Sandy Frank... I guess it's his new thing now? (information is very scarce) He only wrote "after psysalia" and a link for their official site. Anyway, they have a trippy video up too. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sandy-Frank/435628349897347 OHP: http://sandyfrank.org/ edit: Not sure if they are in the band too, but both Kent (vocalist/guitarist) and Nara Minoru (bassist) of LILLIES AND REMAINS have tweeted about the video at the same time.

Really liked Earl's album too, a nice and consistently quality sound.

Oh hey, this actually sounds decent!

Kewl to see Janelle Monáe on the list, I always feel she is severely underrated (or maybe just on the sites I frequent, or over here in Hungary).
-
Dat title, lol.

Groovy modern metal band Wackor has their new album up potentially for free (i.e. "name your price") at Bandcamp. https://wackor.bandcamp.com/
