ooooh~ I'm tempted to pre-order~ ;w; why is it called a "complete" box tho lol...
  2. Hmmm, I see... well, might check them out later on.

Blue Ruin - Watched this without knowing anything whatsoever about it... well, it sure packed a punch. Quite gloomy and depressing. It was okay I guess.
  4. Gotta agree with you there, he sure knows how to catch an atmosphere and go to the max with his vocals. Is his other band Funeral Mist worth checking out?
  5. ^ I don't know about overrated in general, but Panzer Division Marduk is definitely an overrated album, for sure. It's not bad for what it is (a mindless power demonstration, lol) but nothing too remarkable. I find myself getting back to some of their albums from time to time, three especially: - Those of the Unlight, despite the genre it's quite a catchy collection of tracks (On Darkened Wings is still my jammm) - La Grande Danse Macabre, because of its tendency to get a bit more varied with all those sweet slow doomy passages - Plague Angel, for being such a fantastic relentless sonic assault showcasing the creepiness of Mortuus for the first time But yeah, I could understand someone not being really into them... I guess they might be a bit generic and run-of-the-mill for the most part but as I don't listen to tons of black metal, somehow these guys struck a nerve with me, and remained among my usual listens ever since.
  6. Btw they are teaming up with SaturninE for a Europe tour next year ("Funerals Across Europe") between April 24 and May 9... hopefully someone near will book them~ In other news: Marduk just started recording for their next album titled "Frontschwein", gonna be out in January 2015. Having high hopes, their previous one was quite nice!
  7. I'm only halfway through but damn, that Abysmal Grief compilation album that came out this spring is just awesome! It's mostly old unreleased demo tracks and some live/rehearsal stuff thrown together but it has such a killer vibe throughout... some of the band's best work, I dare say! I mean...

So how did you guys like this first taste of what Gossip-ゴシップ- has to offer? I was quite pleased with what I've heard. The three tracks capture an interesting atmosphere/sound more prevalent around 2003-2006 or so in the indies-vk scene, that kind of style that rapidly changes between fast melodious (kinda punky) parts and more head bobbin' "tough guy" stylings. Yeah, pretty obviously there's an influence from Gazette's older works somewhere in there, but it doesn't get too overwhelming or obvious to the point of plagiarism (or idk, I have a bad memory when it comes to their old stuff). All the tracks are pretty entertaining to listen to, tho I can't recall many actual riffs or melodies but they're catchy and colorful enough to hold my interest. All in all, a suitable and powerful introduction into the band's world. (almost gave it a 4) | better than expected, pretty cool stuff

Cool that they're officially back now... looking forward to future activities.
  10. Oooh~ sounds interesting! Also, cool little videos as always.

^ Yeah, it's a pretty neat movie imo! The visuals are what stuck in my mind too, but the story is properly weird/interesting too.

Random info: Tatsu (drummer) has participated in the song "AMAZING BREAK" (performed by Terraspex), which is the opening theme of new anime series "Terra Formars". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNxYl8Uxsqs

Beltracchi: The Art of Forgery - Documentary about a dude who made forgeries of famous painters (of course he painted stuff that wasn't in the records previously, or at least nobody knew what the original looked like) and got away with it for almost 40 years. It wasn't anything special, maybe a bit boring and slow at parts but all in all it was quite okay. Constantine - I've been postponing watching this for a long time but finally got down to it with a friend last night. It was actually pretty fun! Something like Blade, so more like a fantasy-action movie instead of horror (which somehow I expected). Decent flick, and Keanu was suitably 'badass' in it, heh.

That cover art is like a . . . Shadow of their former releases. *ba dum tss*
  15. time for something new to begin~ (hopefully)
  16. Too bad for the godawful filters/effects crap, could've been pretty cool otherwise.

I see! Rentrer and Lolita were nice! If you liked the latter, I totally recommend the bassist's solo project (where he sings instead of playing bass) WING WORKS. Super-fun stuff, like:

  20. http://gadling.com/2013/09/10/australian-pig-steals-beer/ (well, not exactly a "current event" ...should this be moved to Toasted Waffles instead?)

btw he looks like that because the song is a tie-in for some video game where he also stars (in a similar costume).
  22. Jigsaw9

Ah sure, sorry, I totally forgot about giving hints. xD It was BUCK-TICK - Misty blue.
