Toxic Holocaust YEEEAAAHHH @Visutox If you like that old-skewl thrashy aggression, I recommend these guys too: http://morbidcarnage.bandcamp.com/album/night-assassins (repping my home city, heh)

Interstellar - I was really looking forward to seeing Mr. Nolan's sci-fi epic and epic it was! Maybe a bit too overly dragged out and sentimental at parts but overall it was a very enjoyable and touching experience. The space shots and sequences were great and the tension and anxiety (mixed with wonder) of feeling so lonely and small in the universe really came through. Fantastic music as well that really elevated the atmosphere! I was afraid that they'd put in some time travelling bullshit but thankfully they wrapped all the things up in a surprisingly good way. Highly recommended. John Wick - "Oh great, another dark action-thriller flick where the hero is a retired [insert violent profession here] and must come back cuz THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL" is what I initially thought upon seeing the trailer, but it was a totally cool movie. Keanu played the total badass title character out for vengeance nicely / appropriately and the action scenes were super rad. Bonus points for having no unwanted romantic subplot, minus points for actually being a bit tiresome after a while (I can only take so much action, heh). Recommended tho! (oh and extra bonus point for featuring some new Marilyn Manson music! song was kewl and dark-bluesy in the vein of his last album kinda)

Just what the world needed. A low-budget indies label for low-budget vocaloid stuff. THE CREAM OF THE CROP.

^ Yeah, it was because there was some sound problem iirc. xD

^ Basically Kiwamu is known to be an immature asshole. There were reports of him smashing people's cameras at concerts (because "no photo" policy), throwing temper tantrums at concert staff (this also includes literally throwing a plastic chair at an innocent staff member) and generally being a dickhead (like advising his fans to buy merchandise instead of bringing him gifts cuz he knows they got the money if they can afford gifts). xD He runs two interjoining record labels so this makes him arch-dickhead-deluxe as well. Best story is when GPK (from GPKism) shared a photo on Myspace where Kiwamu was featured with his not too flattering facial expression... Kiwamu forced GPK to apologize, take it down and ultimately disable his access to his own profile for a while, lol. I guess he likes to think his band BLOOD is hot shit but in reality they're rly just a sub-par goth kei group (with a handful of nice songs no less, tho).

According to the band's official Facebook, all members except Tatsu Mikami (bassist) have left Church of Misery in the past months. However, Tatsu ensured everyone that the band will continue, as he is the sole writer of music/lyrics... and the band will hopefully have a new album out (plus tours) next year when new members are gathered. Let's stay hopeful!

ojisan game too strong, too many to choose from~ ...but I'll go with Atsushi (B-T) cuz for me he's the one it all goes back to. ;w;

Finally, after much customs-related hassle I managed to get the two new SPEECIES albums in the mail, plus JUBILEE's album (that I've been searching for like a year... turns out Sadie doesn't read his FB messages too often, lmao) and a ton of stickers for both bands and for what looks like...a biker gang?? XD Oh, and there's a super weird privilege CD for the SPEECIES albums that is literally a recording of 6-year-old Sadie singing a song. xDDD Can't wait to listen!

Will try to make it~~

^ Yeah, Event Horizon is a pretty cool one! If you liked it I recommend watching Sunshine, it's also space-themed thriller/sci-fi (tho a bit different).
-
The official site says it's going to be a new mix, so I guess that means remastering / remixing.

Absolutely! The first two movies are real good as they are. The 3rd one is kinda dumb but still okay for one watching. Same for the 4th one, tho it's got a more colorful and varied feel with somewhat of an origin story, as well as sci-fi surroundings... maybe cramming in a bit too much. From Inferno and onwards, people tend to dismiss those movies as garbage because "wah-wah almost no Pinhead!" but imo Inferno and Hellseeker are the closest to being pretty fuckin' good (but still not on the same level as the first 2 movies of course). These even have a kind of Silent Hill-ish (or Jacob's Ladder) nightmare vibe with hallucinations, visions and grotesque thingies because they are more about showing how the protagonists fall deeper into their own hell (which is what Hellraiser should be about, not necessarily showing off the cenobites all the time). Deader and Hellworld are a bit lame (especially the latter) but still nice to see at least once I guess, just for the feel of completion, heh. Revelations is a kind-of-remake and is utterly embarrassing garbage, so maybe steer clear of that one.

jesus fuckin' christ dat memorial box content~ I might be getting the regular one. The album surely needs an update in production (tho I'm okay with the original sound too).

Saw The ABCs of Death 2 and V/H/S Viral recently... well, neither of them were really much good, lol. ABC2 maybe had like a small handful of good segments and Viral had maybe one really fun one about a parallel universe (with kinda shitty execution but it was still the best) and some kinda lame/boring/uninspired ones. If you liked their predecessors they might be worth a watch but I really don't outright recommend them. xD Also, it was cool reading your experience, Bear! I'd love to see either of those movies on the big screen sometime. And Tokage, I agree! Hellraiser is maybe one of the pinnacles for me from that era, despite those charmingly lamely executed ending effects (that were famously put together in a hurry while being drunk and out of budget, haha).

Another band opening their song with a generic chuggachug pattern. Fascinating.
