re pierced the second post on my left side, still got a fat lip kind of, but I'm glad to have stopped putting it off! Is posting images on here giving anyone else problems.. ?
-
Ryo is badass it's also cool to see him picking up Satoshi's vocal perks like his vibrato style
-
Well hey alright, their visuals caught my eye when they first started but their demos sounded weak still, lets see what they do !
-
All new songs huh? Good news, a clean slate from NoGoD

I agree this is totally unfair lol... KuRt had a raw excitement factor and unpredictability that CP lacked, played less by the rules... but that's not saying much considering that CP didn't either... Honestly though, I will choose Chemical Pictures on a conceptual basis, the Sekai wo Utta Otoko series in particular, fell too deeply in love with the whole thing.
-
THANK you for posting some KuRt material on here, give everyone a reference point to his true greatness lol.

YAAAAAAAAH.

The whole band is like Serial-killer-kei for some reason, which is fucking great such good news, I'm really happy they mounted a good amount of material before launching SO EXCITED

Uhm.. the vocals are kind of interesting in a VK way.. but I kind of hope he does that by choice and that isn't literally what his vibrato sounds like lol (in which case he should strengthen it a lot before he starts using it for real) Their sound is pretty chill beside this though

I really like this, a bit like Nega

Reminded of lynch.

Okay I think my post was deleted while I was editing it into something substantial... which is kind of disappointing, I guess I'll even it out to a summarized version.. I love this as much as I did when it was previewed, I'm going to avoid giving star ratings as I believe they would be biased coming from me especially the first day it was posted. So I'm going to give Pro's and Con's of the overall release, citing examples from tracks. Thank you for your patience. PROS: Chemical Pictures was known to dip it's toes briefly into a heavy sound, many tracks from the Sekai wo Utta Otoko series opened with Tenten's screams and aggressive riffs, now with the current lineup with ex-SKULL members we get an opportunity to Tenten to essentially jump in waist-deep (meaning that this is not a completely heavy style and still leaves him room to lay back in light, pleasant choruses more familiar to CP/Kiss My Way fans. Tsumi koroshite yama ni ume tai opens with a chainsaw effect, (audio referencing the visual concept) it is little things like this that make me think that they are truly invested in the idea and that further releases will show cohesive storytelling. CONS: The unique, charming, funk-inspired progression that made CP Taira's best band is still absent here, the instrumentation is not so experimental and explorative as I would like.. genre-wise, he has placed himself in the middle of that hardcore no mans land where generic songs are just waiting to be made. (This is not to say that I find these songs generic, but that they have their work cut out for them trying to avoid this) I was hoping for longer songs overall. leave a bit of room for some progression and variation especially given that we only have 4 tracks to this mini album. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If anyone is interested, I am still prepared to rate it 5/5 (again, take my rating with a grain of salt.) I truly hope people still love and are excited for this project post-release. MUCH Kazuhiro love. Thanks for your patience again!

They have a cool sound, (from the live preview) vocals are a little flat but I would be interested to hear a single !

D.I.D.... I still can never get into Nocturnal Bloodlust
-
I am into this. The name caught my interest and the sound is very cool, not sure what to expect but I'll definitely lurk around to find out !

I didn't mean the style at all though, in that sense CP and MBHI are very far removed lol. I meant for Tenten personally, I would like this to be a step up in his CAREER. Just meaning that I hope MBHI is able to get bigger than CP or KuRt ever were. Oh yes I do miss the funk, but I'm quite impressed with the aggressive attitude of MBHI in the previews so far (I actually was surprised by the amount of screaming he did in CP at first but Tenten has a unique scream and he always makes it work lol) I loved SKULL I always thought they were a great example of "pretty heavy VK" and somehow I just imagined this lineup falling into place perfectly.. Geez I'm so excited first thing in the AM now..
-
Yeah CP was on a different level, sooo impressive. I'm really hoping MBHI is the next big step...
-
Getting more and more pumped to hear from them

WANT SO BAD. Love DELACROIX so much such emotional vocal harmonies
-
No worries Hanamuke was slightly too early for me too I didn't find VK until 2005 either lol EDIT: but theres no reason we cant still be fans of course!

With black hair you have to keep bleaching your roots, especially if you have layers the roots show really soon.. unless you go for that VK black roots look.. which I guess doesn't apply to Yuuki's perfect-pink do loll.

THIS. I would love to see GazettE give us a mini nowadays.

I'm a fan of Diru remixes, even (kind of especially) lounge sounding ones XD
