  1. Thought I should share this review which I wrote of Yuragi's album from 2018. I also shared the album in the download section if you haven't listened to this yet. Highly recommended!

    English review:

Yuragi's album "Still Dreaming, Still Deafening" is a blend of delicacy, destructiveness, and ambiance which brings the audience into a translucent, atmospheric world. Like the album title, Yuragi's music brings multiple feelings to the audience, where when it is mellow, it brings a "dreaming" perception to the audience; while on the other hand, when it is violent, the music can be "deafening".

The instrumental first track "B/C" prepares the audience to hear and see the world of Yuragi-the chemistry of innocence and wildness blended as one composition. The second track "Horizon" comes naturally like from the next breath of "B/C". The airy and translucent vocals resembling the view of the yellowish clouds in the sunrise above the "horizon" as you listen. "Utopia" comes next to bring a sweet oceanic breeze while looking at the blue sky after the sunrise, while watching seagulls fly past. The third track "Bedside" resembles the music of earlier Yuragi, more on the happy poppish rock and easy-listening. The fourth track "Unreachable" is my most favorite track in the album: the audience undulates with Yuragi like on top of the waves of the ocean then, gradually, sinks into the water. Night comes on the fourth track "Path of the Moonlit Night". Yuragi gets quiet as it comes, like a peaceful dark night at the seaside, then disrupts the silence with an outburst of unstoppable emotions.

Having influenced by the older generations of shoegaze/post-rock bands like My Bloody Valentine and Mogwai, Yuragi indulges these influences and puts off a style of their own, purely resisting the sell-out music market of Japan.

  2. I read Home Room because the live action drama caught me into it. The main character is pretty unique, considering him hiding naked under his class's students bed while she is sleeping but not doing anything sexually. It makes me excited to read more but it doesn't have many episodes out for now, it seems.

  3. I think there are still people who don't know about what's going on in Hong Kong. What's going on is not just happening in Hong Kong, but all over the world. Hong Kong is facing China's suppress on stripping off of our freedom and democracy, from little by little to finally revealing its fangs. This is happening to all the places where China's money is involved. The most noticable are China's control on the limitation of creation like Hollywood movies, games, literature, etc.. If we don't fight for it now, we don't want to imagine how it's like to have China fully controlling our city. China's leader, Xi Jinping, is already throwing out bibles from China's churches and replacing them with the book he wrote himself.

Please take a look at this newspage to see what's happening in Hong Kong:

Please stand with Hong Kong. Even only your words matter and we are more than grateful for them.

  4. I get most of my beauty, make-up, and fashion tips from youtube and IG. 95% of the ones I follow are Japanese.

Lately, I've gotten into the style of natural brown/beige clothes and make-up.

I don't have a definite brand for make-up but most of them are drugstore brands like Canmake, Excel, Kate, Visee, Media, L'oreal, Revlon, Banila Co, Heroine, etc..

Most of the clothes I wear are from GU and Uniqlo, but I would die to shop at Japan's Heather, earth, OLIVE des OLIVE, etc..

As for my hair, I usually just curl my bangs with a straightener and curl the rest of my hair with a curler. I'm still in search of a good hair style keeper that can hold my bangs and curls. Anyone got any recommendations?

I find it weird if they have a female guitarist in the band

I'm a fan of all of their stuff from 2009-2015, but after that point, with AVANT-GARDE and since I just can't. It all sounds the same to me now, especially when I listen to their stuff sequentially.

I can feel you here. Been a fan since greedy dead souls just released but only until I BELIEVE IN ME that I can find their songs rememberable. I feel so unfamiliar with this DVD setlist.

We don't all think the same.
Not at all sounds light or happy .... true that their sound has changed as many bands do ... it sounds heavy metalcore with melodic touches .... in fact we knew we were going to find it.

    I give it 8.5 / 10

that gives them a three is respectable but it smells more like a recent fan with the change

I'm not getting what you mean.:wan-03: You're saying I seem like a recent fan because I gave them a low rating? :wan-12:

  8. Just listened to the new mini album.

Just to say I'm disappointed with the direction they're taking without Cazqui's contribution.

It's like they're going to a lighter and happier style in their metalcore sound. Even though it's still pretty metalcore base, there's a poppish feeling to it.

Their style before sounded darker, even slower songs like Libra, but not 少年時代, the slow song in their new mini album - it's like any poppish J-rock song that other recent visual kei bands make.

Rating: I'd give it only 3/10.

  9. Anyone into Wattpad writings here?

I just started writing on it last month.

It has lots of pop literature inside so I started a story about poppish themes like vampires....Didn't get many readers though lol.

Here's a synopsis of my story:

"Liam Delacruz is a fictional vampire who exists in a book called The Book of Light and Shadow. His ex-lover was a human slave called Acadia, the heroine of the book. When Cassie Valencia read this book on the airplane, she never would have thought that during the plane crash, she would travel into the book revived as one of the book's redshirt character who was killed by Liam. Would Cassie's existence in the book change the fate of how its whole story goes?"

    Read it here

I'm curious if there are other writers here. If you are, please feel free to share your works!
