baroque originally began in 2001, stylized all in lowercase, they disbanded in 2004 because the bassist left. the vocalist ryo and guitarist kei reformed kannivalism, which was a short-lived band from 2001. kannivalism stopped activities because in 2011 baroque had a live revival and reformed in 2012 with the original four members. but the bassist left again, practically just disappeared, and the other guitarist also left leaving it with ryo and kei now at present. in other words, they released more than an album. ^^

^if you didn't hear ryo's actual voice until now you've been missing out. check out kannivalism and older baroque material. ryo's voice is so precious i'm disappointed that he's using autotune all the time now

Maybe I didn't explain that too well. I felt like I was more interested in what was gonna happen next, rather than feeling scared while watching the film. Of course the film still has its horror elements. Sucks that the third one is disappointing though. But I guess that is usually the case with sequels. I'm just a little surprised that the second one turned out pretty good.

Watched Insidious 2 with two of my sisters. I really liked the first one so I've been waiting for a chance to watch it with someone. Usually I watch horror movies alone, but for some I'm a bit more choosy about if I have to watch alone. It didn't freak me out entirely though and I would say it was more of a thriller, but I did find the plot very interesting. One thing I like about Insidious is that it touches on OBE and the astral world, which you don't often see portrayed in movies, at least I haven't seen many that did. I would love to watch the third one soon, but since my sisters want to watch it together I might have to wait until we see each other again. What did scare me though was all my sisters' screaming at the jump scares, haha.

i personally think having a trade-off every other month is good enough~ ^^ i only ask for one thing, the halloween/horror trade-off theme for october must stay every year.

finally updated my list but it's practically all vk, where are all my indie bands at. (maybe my scope of active bands is too small) i thought i was still waiting for my 5/5 release until i remembered a solo album from a band i recently discovered~ some ranked 4/5 came pretty close but still nothing that blew my mind making me listen to it for days or over a week. i think i've also become more selective in my tastes, and more of a song person over the years.

@orange~ thank you! i used to have so much trouble working with colors, but now i find them easier to work with as i experiment mixing different colors. ^^ here's some gantz fanart i drew while being hyped about the movie. (and hoping to draw more later) guro warning: and something original

I highly doubt anyone will translate Kazoku's lyrics anymore so I'll use this topic to post any translations I make for them. I remember seeing translations for Ukigumo and Rettou hoshi once in the past but can't seem to find Rettou hoshi online anymore. In any case, here are some of my translations for their songs~ I'll continue to post in this topic as I make new translations. I do hope to go through most of their discography sometime~ Rettou hoshi. Akai hana, tou no kai I'm always open for any corrections and suggestions! Check my lyric blog for more of my translations. Thanks for looking! ^^

i haven't even gone through july's recs and august is already over!!! (the list for july was so massive i kinda got lazy and forgot about it, whoops, i know that you guys work really hard on these!) @fitear1590 i've been introduced to koochewsen by @seurongbut still haven't checked their releases yet! >.< i do love the vocals and the guitar bit in the second half of that track sounds lovely~! so dreamy and otherwordly. will be sure to keep my eyes peeled to them from now on! @emmny haha, i had the same reaction with the dubstep from kuroyuri xD but the rest sounds so good i forgive them. and great pick, but my new favorite track from their mini would be 液状部屋 :> i have high hopes for them in the future too! i think they've really picked up their game since the last two releases. the ARTIFACT OF INSTANT and r-shitei tracks are also not bad~

I did some self-study before taking formal classes at University for three years. During one of those years I studied abroad Japan, in which only the language classes were taught in Japanese while general subjects were still taught in English. But outside of class it was beneficial, and challenging, to utilize what I learned from class in the outside world with actual native speakers. The classes I took at my home University focused heavily on speaking so I had many conversations and learned to speak well, so much so that I even felt that I could express myself better in Japanese than in English. I felt like I was only really able to talk to someone if I spoke in Japanese (I never talked much outside of Japanese classes or Japanese related events). Despite that I still had a pretty basic vocabulary, so nothing too complex. Sadly, after I came back from Japan I slowly stopped speaking Japanese and am pretty rusty now. I stopped taking formal classes because I felt burnt out and wanted to pursue the language for my own enjoyment, not for things like businesses and careers. So now I just focus on reading manga, playing games in Japanese, watching stuff without subtitles, and translating lyrics. (being able to play Japanese games was practically my sole reason for learning Japanese btw, haha) I still struggle a lot with understanding but I learn to pick up more things as I go. I write from time to time as well and use ameblo as a Japanese blog, but I mostly write simple and short entries. I think I've learned over 1,000 kanji over the years but I still feel like I only know as few as 300-500. They're so easy to forget! >.< I've heard of Lang-8 and have thought about trying it out. It may really come in handy for improving my writing~

your mom is like my mom xDDD but what's even worst for me is that my dad is also the same. hence, twice the clutter.
