  1. Hope he'll keep this tone. Not a strong voice but he is not forcing and sounding super weird at least.
  2. Wow! it nice they're going on... when KON announced the project I thought it would be a one release thing. I love La'Mule and need to find some time (and money) to spend on CELL, I've only listened to their first release.

I think you guys are not understanding what happened on the Jupiter thread. No one is complaining about what kind of music he is doing, but Kamijo DONT HAVE vocal abilities for heavy metal, he tries, he tries hard, and fail hard too, sounding weird... he just don't have a strong voice for that. Kamijo have done some good heavy metal-ish songs even in Lareine, kaze no yuwaku has a great heavy metal composition but it end up sounding better because Kamijo wasnt trying to be a new Fabio Lione, or Bruce Dickinson.

It is a great band, they have the "Cool" and "Popular" status on the internets because it was impossible to find their music and information some years ago, even in soulseek or utatane. So, there was a lot of people desperately looking for their songs and they bacame... popular-ish. It is the same with Feria or bands like Lanus Dune, etc. Thanks for posting!

No matter what "era" you like, I think we should respect those guys (we can try...), at least they are trying to live from what they like, music. They're just trying to have some fun, if they became big, great! If not, at least they had some fun doing what they like. I think every bandmen knows that 99% of the time they'll play for 10~15 persons, only a few bands get more fans than this, so, it takes courage to be on this scene, no matter if it were in the 90's or 00's. 90's bands were super tr00? Yes, but that was the kind of music the scene originally came from, it has changed, a lot, but in the very inside it stills the same, bands still play in the same venues, sometimes they get bigger, sometimes they keep around for 4 or 5 years with the same 10 fans, they're just having fun doing what they like. I don't believe anyone goes into vk for money or the illusion of being famous.
  6. I think you need to meet some power/melodic metal bands, Versailles never were different from any of them, except for the bad vocals and the romanticism thing.
  7. So as KAMIJO. Hope he will never try to sing power metal, or any kind of metal again, ew. Cant really tell by just one minute but this other guy seems to be more versatile and that is a nice thing. But the music still the same so, for now, I'll pass.
  8. Why is this so relevant? o-o I'm pretty sure there are at least 10 or 15 other visual kei bars only in Tokyo. Even Fu-ki (ex-BLOOD) owns a visual kei bar.
  9. I was expecting this to cost more. Look at the book content, this must be 300 pages or more, it is a fine price.

This can be interesting, HIDEKI used to have a great voice before that surgery he had on the throat.
  12. I can see why they're playing on the Art Cube event, they're all old buddies Seiji even was in HIZAKI Project back in the day, MASASHI was on közi solo... so, its probably a opportunity to hang out with old friends again.
  13. Cant wait! the FUZZ is great, it is a shame no one cares about them outside Japan. :\
  14. I asked if it would be available at any Japanese Store that sells abroad, I even mentioned CDJapan and Closet Child.
  15. I got a reply from the band: So, no Carpe Diem at CDJapan, Puresound, closet child, etc. :\
  16. Sounds good, I've asked them if the album will be available at any shop that sells overseas.

Wondering if D is doing a new version to this song. As far as i remember Victor always had some VK bands. AFTER IMAGE was signed to it back in 1996.

Their new look can be seen at their OHP. Not that new since they started to use that in October.

This. He was sooo good at LAREINE and NEW SODMY, he just don't fit all that metal thing

Maybe, for overseas fans. Visual kei were always like this, there are a few supergroups who shape the trends, music and image, and there are countless underground bands, just like it was in the 90s. We used to have LUNA SEA, and now, unfortunatelly we have gazette. Of course visual kei has changed through the years, from post-punk to new metal, from underground punk, goth and glam image to fashion trends, but it is just how society is, and still, visual kei. So, I don't think it will die any day soon, there will always be visual kei, like it or not. Overseas or not. I'm also not fan of neo-visual kei, but I don't think it is dead just because I don't like the way it is now. The fact is that overseas fans know NOTHING about what happens over there, and so they start to think things are diying and stuff, but it always were normal for bands to have 3 or 4 fans, if the number increases, great, but it is ok if not. Plus, there are a lot of old guys who still around doing great.

I think I can say I'm a big fan of early visual kei and that they're great for going this way these days, but their songs sound so... empty to me. I don't know why, but something is missing, there's a big lack of something. Its not the fact that today record quality are better, because Aliene, Madeth gray'll and Noir Fleurir have done some great recordings at their latest albums. Maybe something with the mixing and mastering, but, yeah... I don't know.
