I've gotten a reply from Ahito Inazawa on Twitter and he ended up following me - he was actually one of my first Twitter followers, lol. Cinema Staff, Molice, and the keyboardist from Blindman also followed me/retweeted a couple of things I posted. Taigen Kawabe (Bo Ningen) replies to me all the time if I mention him on FB and Twitter and he also retweeted one of my posts. He's really sweet. Naoto Shibata (Anthem) also replies if I comment on his Facebook statuses. He's also a pretty cool guy.

*takes a drag of cigarette* *stares off into the distance* Who knows?

Bo Ningen are the band I've been constantly dry humping lately. Noisy. Psychedelic. Real dank kush. They'll will make you want to throw up and cry and and scream and pee blood at the same time.

I love many songs by Billy Joel. I know some of it can be sappy and romantic, but I some of the songs hold some meaning for me. HOWEVER I fucking can't STAND the song "Piano Man." I think when I first heard it, I thought it was pretty interesting but now I'm sick of it and it just pisses me off. I say this is "unpopular" because almost everyone I know starts making dramatic orgasm noises every time it comes on the radio and then start going on a rant about how music was so great back then. It's. Not. The. Only. Popular. Song. With. A. Fucking. Piano. In. It.

I have a similar question concerning music festivals. Like, how big do you have to be to be featured in Fuji Rock, Summer Sonic, RSR, etc?

Yeah, I think it's a good song, but my main dislike of it stems from it being so overplayed nowadays rather than the quality of the song itself but that pretty much goes for every popular "classic" rock song that's out there.

I actually enjoy Dynamite Tommy's voice. It's so bad, it's almost refreshing. Other visual kei vocalists are bad too, but they're a conventional bad. His voice on the other hand is . . . a fascinating bad. I also kinda like him as a person, which I guess is unpopular as a lot of X/Extasy/old Diru stans think he's Satan or something.

Everything I've gotten since January.

It sounds A LOT better than I thought it would, but I agree that the melody and chorus is a little forgettable. Everyone but Ryuichi brought their A game though, I just think they could have written a better song. This song was basically ripped RIGHT OFF of the Shine album, there's no doubt about it.

Welcome! Enjoy yourself. Everyone here is a lil' bit awkward.

Oh, thank goodness I'm not the only one who's getting sick of the "let's all bash on the Gazette" trend. I'm not very fond of the Gazette either, but it's not like they are the epitome of everything that's awful and wrong with visual kei as many people make them out to be. -__- At least, I think if people do pick on them, they should have better reasons for doing so besides "the fandom is annoying," etc. And I think the whole "indie cred" shit is the most IDIOTIC concept ever. That's doesn't just go for visual kei bands either, but all music everywhere. Indie bands can be shitty too. Indie bands can be repetitive and unoriginal. I can't stand it when people just automatically flock to something because they only have a certain number of listens on Last.FM or whatever and deem it good when it actually isn't or is mediocre (this is especially true for certain non-visual J-indies fans, good god have some discretion people). I feel like worrying about how underground or unpopular the music is just defeats the purpose of listening to music in the first place - to enjoy it, to be inspired by it, etc.

Boris - Flare and ディスチャージ -grave new world- (no video for this one) - the first one could be for like Bleach or some shit and the second one could be for a darker shounen anime like Death Note et. al., I don't know . . . it's been forever since I've watched anime. Eizo Sakamoto - 桃色ハレソラ (also no video for this one) - I've always imagined this to be for a cheesy 90's magical romance/shoujo anime and/or a boy's love

I'm actually looking forward to this. I totally dig Yoshiki's classic stuff.

Yeah, I completely agree . . . and this has been something I've been working to practice on in my own blog and reviews (well except for this one), though there are times I find it hard to describe the music in absolutely technical terms and I still have a lot of work to do . . . . . reading other people's reviews in magazines or on official websites helps immensely. It's also a really good exercise for writing in general. It helps you get in touch with your emotions, expand your vocabulary, etc. I get annoyed when a person's review is just "the guitars are shitty" or "the vocals were interesting" - well, they didn't sound shitty to me, haha. What do you mean by that? Haha.

Color - I just have a feeling the world would be a much better place filled with their wonderful sounds if they came back together. If Marry (R.I.P.) could come back to life that would be awesome too.

"I care about how the band members look" - I guess this is more unpopular coming from the non-visual side of things . . . I'll be honest and admit that I do have a soft spot for guys I consider hot/cute/beautiful. I download all their pictures and follow their Facebook/Twitter accounts. I make up cutesy nicknames for them and perform all the other usual fangirl protocols (except probably fanfiction, unless I'm just being ironic), etc. Anyway, I'll probably come up with more later ~ . . .

When I'm studying I like to listen to Merzbow (Merzbient is a favorite of mine) and Boris' dronier/instrumental stuff like Flood and The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked. For some reason that kind of music really helps get me into my "zone" which helps me to focus on my work without being too involved in the music itself. For reading novels, it depends on the mood or genre of the novel. Most of the times I listen to really mellow ambient and post-rockish stuff that isn't too distracting because my brain is absolutely terrible at multitasking. (If I listen to something too exciting, I start paying more attention to the music instead of what's going on in the book).

Boris is gonna have the best cover. Callin' it right now. (Is this even a cover album? Or something completely different?)
