I was wondering about this, too. I remember when Oshare-kei was the hit back in 2005 to 2008/9 approximately in my country.

I was also wondering if Paradeis's disbandment is somehow related to the "decline" of Oshare-kei...

I used to complain about Oshare-kei being so commercial in those days, although there were a few bands I used to like such as HeaRt, Ichigo69, Pawn, and some more.

Anything about KAZUKI ex Due'le quartz?

I saw this one a few days ago and I thought it was note worthy, lol.

Pop music being crap? That is totally subjective. As for me, I don't like pop music much (although sometimes I enjoy listening to the 90's pop music xD) but when you see a kid suffering from cancer who listens to, I don't know, Rihanna (is that her name?) and her songs bring a smile and a happy moment for the suffering kid, then you start realising you just give too much importance to your personal taste in music...

I have been listening to the song for almost two weeks straight now non stop. I find the band was/is underrated. Maybe they deserved a bit more of attention.

So can we have a consensus his real voice is what we hear from Versailles newer live versions?

 

I still think the older studio albums are recorded very differently from how it was played live but in the newer ones (Holy Grail and up), there was barely any difference going from studio to live ver.

Singing is somehow a complex thing. When I listen to Grand Pain by Lareine Kamijo's voice sounds a bit more "natural" for me.

When Kamijo sang in Versailles his voice sounded deeper, but if that doesn't cause any harm to his voice then it is fine.

I just want Kamijo to sing. His Versailles singing voice doesn't bother me. All it matters is that kamijo doesn't hurt his vocal chords.

What a poor english mine u.u

I don't think Kamijo's real voice was that we heard in Lareine, not at least in most Lareine's songs because he was trying to sound more feminine.

^ UNDER CODE already closed in May. REALies joined a new label called GOEMON RECORDS, which is run by president YU-I (formerly CindyKate vocalist). REALies already released their first single, LiNE, through this new label. This single will be their 2nd one with GOEMON RECORDS.

Oh, I didn't know that, but I was wondering why other UC bands didn't look for another lable...

I found other explanation of this structure, but how one determines if the action is in process of completion or is already completed (stable and prevalent) is all a mistery for me u.u

Maybe the exact tense being implied is not that important in this grammatical structure...

3.Versailles could have been better if they were not limited by their theme, costumes and general VK stupidness. If they dropped VK after Jubilee the band would had make more interesting music.

I don't think Visual Kei limited their musical style at all. Actually Metal tends to be monotonous after a time.

Visual Kei is very broad. I am one of those who think Visual Kei does have a musical style or features that characterise it (specially the sound of the late 90's). In Visual Kei you can play with rythms, speed, styles, etc.

I don't care if people agree with me on Visual Kei musically speaking. It is just music, not life.

I agree with another user that Alice Nine is horrible band.

Also. I don't like MUCC's unstable musical style. If they want to be a more commercial band then make it clear.

I listen to the sample's intro and I can't help picturing Mana-sama dancing the way he used to do when he was in Malice Mizer looking the same he used to^^

Seikun is actually right with the assumption that the two verbs 黒く染まる and 降り注がれる are connected in this sentence.

That is because 黒く染まり is the continuative aspect which (among other things) can connect two sentences. So the literal translation would be:

 

The sky is dyed black and ashen rain pours down.

 

PHMK2's translation is totally okay and it doesn't really change anything but maybe like this it's better to understand the underlying grammar!

Reading the lesson on the link provided I learnt that base 2 form is used in a continuative form. Other site on this same topic says this form is similar to the -te form (but I don't know exactly what the difference between these two is). The continuative is relative to the main verb.

My question is how did you come to the conclusion that 黒く染まり means "dyed black" and not "dyes black"? How do you know 黒く染まり is expressed in present perfect?

My first thought is to translate the sentences as follows: ashen rain pours down and the sky dyes black.

In the example I provided both the base 2 verb and the main verb are translated in past simple.

My japanese is very poor u.u

I guess all we can do for now is to speculate.

Is there a way to now whether the album is selling poorly? If so, why is it that people don't appreciate the old style anymore? O.o

In the morning (over here) Kamijo posted up a sample of Enketsu no la vie en rose (or something like that). I kind of liked it. It reminded me of Versailles by the way.

"Ashen rain pours from the sky that's dyed black," I believe might be a somewhat close translation. My Japanese is a bit rusty, and I'm also used to using it in a formal setting-- lyrics are bit tougher for me to understand since they don't always use proper grammar and a lot particles and subjects in a sentence are implied.

I am actually looking for a lesson on this thing (base 2 + verb) but I can't find one that could explain the case found in the lyrics (空が黒く染まり灰色の雨が降り注がれる) in case 染まり and 降り注がれる are somehow linked to each other...

I hate it when some people say most Visual Kei bands play(ed) crappily (sorry I couldn't think of a better word (lack of vocabulary)). I completely disagree. I think most bands both from the past and current bands play quite well. There are always musicians who need more practice, but most play quite well.

Oh. Is the band and their song not supposed to be typed?
 
This song by Lareine always sounds to me perfect as an ending for a girly anime.
