I've been thinking about this a lot recently, and I finally decided to make a blog dedicated to deep analysis of visual kei lyrics (those with meaningful lyrics at least... I don't think I could find a profound meaning in "keep on dj playin!!") since I was doing translations for a long time but never actually got further than just words and sentences, never thought about the lyrics line by line, or any further meanings. I realized I am intelligent enough to do an analysis of a song by myself after the latest literature classes (I was actually paying attention and giving my opinion a lot), so I gave it a try and I don't think it's too bad. GUYS I NEED HELP x_x I'm in a f***ing LOVE with these two songs and the singer's voice. But tags are all like âXâ^âbâJü[âg, and I really really really can't figure out who it is. I've been through my history and download history and it seems like the songs magically appeared in my downloads folder, and I've been desperately typing in everything I hear of lyrics in google, but it seems they're a small indie band. All I know is that they're from 2010, if the only readable tag is reliable. It's 99,9% visual kei. -I definitely HATE bandnames that are just one letter like M and A (ok A have anonymous blablabla side name but still). I mean, how in the world am I gonna find anything about them if I don't know where to search, except for google!? -the bands that use parts of the books names or similar are pain in the ass to find too. Like (cyano de) Bergerac and Virgil (Roman writer). Also, Dali. Not only it's a superpopular artist, there is more than one vk band named dali!?!? -there is a band called …。【サイレンス】 (.... (silence)). Well, what, when I'm talking about the band, am I supposed to just shut up and stay silent for a few seconds instead of saying the band name? -vNEU is actually νNeu. ν is greek for N, yet everyone say/write it with V (student of ancient greek language talking here). The band seriously must take care of it -Being in my favorite bands list, Boogieman and Dolly are so ridiculously hard to find on google or youtube (especially dolly since 1) they don't get all the attention they deserve so not much videos are up on yt and 2) there's 100000 times more popular dolly parton that comes out even when I'm searching with a katakana writing) -ASS'n'ARRow was a band as epic as their name is -Baggy bogy-what? -CatFist? -Cocklobin... wait, you mean Cock LoVin?? -Adapter. and Administrator??? XDD -Luzmelt, Mejibray, FEST VAINQUEUR (although I still can't pronounce Vainqueur, but that's okay cuz I'm pretty sure not even bandmembers can), Edogawa Paradox, Irokui and Medi@lize are by far the best names I came across -wait, wait, I'm not done with bitching. Crazy★shampoo!?!?!??!?!? -I kinda like plasticzooms and Baroque as a name for a band *-* even though baroque perfectly fits into 'how in the world am I supposed to find you in google results' -a lot of bands use girls names for their bandname, and I'm honestly very very annoyed by that. eg VanessA, Cindy&Kate, SOPHIA etc -I love Panic channel, Hucci, Lolita23Q and DOREMIdan. Those names are absolutely perfect-easy to remember and easy to find (ignore the fact that there is also an american band named THE panic channel, and that Hucci were extremely unpopular)

@nuke: according to vkdb, nowhere :/ Kei definitely retired but Shuuya's status is undefined. However, as seen on tanuki, Shuuya got married and now has a kid

I'm trying to avoid thinking about fanbases because I always end up thinking about gazette or Xjapan (not so much X fans, more like... hide fangirls) But from personal experience almost all of CindyKate fans are great, really, especially since well you know, they're UCP and so on also, DOG inThe PWO fans are surprisingly awesome (definitely not talking about japanese fanbase here, most girls are so bitchy it's disgusting) I'm not sure about the lives side, but most Golden bomber fans are not only good, but also some of the most open-minded people I've met in my life (which would come naturally since GB are the vk band that actually parodies vk, right?). Here I'm talking about people who listen and like the band, and not Jun's butt/Kenji's abs/whatever. I know this might me offtopic and I beg you guys not to start a brand new discussion (at least not in this thread) but when it comes to Kpop, from my experience 2ne1 and SuJu fans are the worst and SS501 fans are the loveliest motherfuckers ever <3

gazette disbanding? please, do so. and there, I remember it's PSC who are more into money than Kiwamu (not that I know anything bout kiwamu, he's just an example for everything and anything) and Gazette are their main source, so yah, even if they WANT to, they CAN'T do so, so I don't think I'd be very mistaken if I predict them to last at least 5 years more. I know it's late to reply to this, but somehow I have to. Being the huge Junno fantard, I knew I wouldn't be able to do an objective review on the first 2-3 listens. Also, being the Heartless lover, I just prayed to god Shuu improved his vocals enough to do with the big names Boogieman members are (still didn't listen to previous releases Shuu did with Boogieman before Loops. Just can't make myself to do it) . Well he didn't leave me disappointed on the vocals part (remember the first heartless releases? lol), but I did lose all my hope for both Yuana and Akira. Well, Junno, it's been a while, and you better come back. These guys need you. (beside writing all the lyrics, which are all amazing, Junno used to do a lot of composing too btw) 1. POLYGON-wtf? Am I listening to Kra or Boogieman? Extremely forgettable and dull. Although I do wish they sell the songs like this one to the bands like Royz are. It'd be a pleasant surprise if they did it, but it's just a disappointment to hear this from Boogieman 2. Howling-not bad. Really not bad. This song was actually my ringtone for a while (now it's back to Boogieman's Nirvana hah). Makes me relieved to hear it after Polygon at least. 3. monopolize-I used to hate it (junno complex), but now it almost makes me cry when I hear it. Beautiful. One thing Shuu is better at-writing ballad-like songs. The lyrics are also pretty good. 4. rariyura (whatever that's supposed to mean)-WELL NOW THIS SHIT IS GOOD. More boogieman-ish than anything on this album. Although it lacks on the heavy side, it's good. 5. Shreddinger no neko-blah. A tiny bit better than Polygon. Although I like the refrain 6. PicaSSo-Did I hear the drums? Did I hear the guitars? Dear lord, thank you! But aside from that, it's just awful. The melody is just roughly done, it needs a lot of working on it to become a decent song 7. Decoy#3-just..fuck you. Make your own songs. I just hate these Decoy things, I've also heard a D.child remake. I wonder whose idea is this, just so that I know who needs to be killed. ("Yue ni, jikai" for those who don't know the original) generally, I'd give it 3.5/5 if it was ANY OTHER BAND, but since it's Boogieman, SCORE LESS, 2.5/5, and I've been pretty generous. It's still listenable, I guess.
