信近エリ - sing a song
Incredibly nostalgic album for me...really does bring me back to 05/06 lol. Would be awesome if Shinichi Osawa worked with her again...

SUBLIMINAL....are you stupid? I'm a drummer and I think Sujk is THE BESTEST DRUMMER EVARRR becuz I've heard every drummer in existence that ever lived and existed and sujk is by far the bessst. Plus I'm a drummer and I call tell when a good drummer is drumming because when Sujk drums I think his drumming is awesome...especially when he drums. and if you disagree with that then you're just stupid. you're a big stupid MEANIE. .___.

I'm EXTREMELY picky when it comes to shoegaze. There's VERY little that I actually enjoy, but since I'm an ongaku otaku, I do happen to know of a few bands. I guess you can check out the following bands and see how you like them:
Broken Little Sister
Nanocycle
Luminous Orange
Monocism
Plastic Girl In Closet
Lemon's Chair
My Dead Girlfriend
Cruyff in the Bedroom
Hartfield

Scanners - Lowlife
-
SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS - Shaft In Africa

GAHT DAYUM you guys are cool! really! +100 e-peen points for all of ya! ^________________________________________________^

It's because Dir en grey, much like Maximum the hormone, are lucky enough to be one of the only japanese bands that isn't forced to release material by management or record labels etc. In the past they were I can imagine, but now they truly have 100% musical freedom.^^;;;;;
-
Even though all of their songs sound the same for the most part, I'm still looking forward to this.
-
I wish some people would use use their heads and actually think about how their actions affect other people. Some people are highly annoying and yet they fail to realize it - even after they've been notified of their actions SEVERAL times. T__________________T
-
I'm not an avid Dir en Grey fan, so I don't follow them beyond checking out their music whenever they release something new. Is there any reason in particular why this single is spaced so far apart from Hageshisa?

Peace out, Champo. Have a great new year and take it easy~
Don't get in any apfelwagens =p

It's not long enough for me to like or dislike it :\ -
As for me I would like someone to recommend some non-vk j-rock bands similar to: ACIDMAN, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, The Band Apart, and 9mm parabellum bullet.

Mariko Goto, the vocalist of punk band Midori, has just announced on Ustream that the band is breaking up. Their final concert together, titled "Sayonara, Goto-san," will be their December 30 show at Liquid Room Ebisu in Tokyo.Goto tearfully explained the breakup, saying that a hierarchy had formed among the band's members. Because she feels that a band should share a common fate and be like a family, she decided that it could not continue in its current state. She said she considered keeping the band going, but that it would only delay the inevitable result.
Goto formed Midori in Osaka in 2003. They released their first indie-label album in 2005, and they went major in 2007.
to quote the organizer of the NEXT MUSIC FROM TOKYO tour:
Even though they were set to record a new album in the Spring (and come to Canada in October!!),Mariko Goto decided a few weeks ago she'll be quitting the band.
Since without Mariko, ミドリ would be rather pointless it was announced yesterday that the band will be dissolved after their last show on Dec 30.

Even if you think ミドリ peaked with the release of "Second" if you ever saw them live (not on f*cking youtube) you'd know they were one of the best/fiercest live bands to come around in years. It's probably best for Mariko's health since at every show she'd dive into the crowd from suicidal heights (saw her take off from ~12 feet above the ground at Nagisa Fes 2008).
Their recorded material was becoming increasingly underwhelming, but it's still sad to see them go. They were a breath of fresh air for Jrock. Even sadder that I'll never get to see Mariko and her crazy antics live =(

I like the female vocals bands High and Mighty color, Dazzle Vision, and Head Phones President are my favorites. Before someone tries to bash you for listing these bands, I'll go ahead and tell you that these bands aren't technically considered metal, though they all incorporate metal elements of course. ;]
-
hm...I don't think I've heard anything this year that was so bad I couldn't forget about it.
-
@Champ - do you know Intestine Baalism?
I like metal, but it's not something that I'm heavily into. Every once and a while, I get a craving for it (especially stoner stuff), but it's not a large part of my musical diet.
As mentioned, Anthem is great (I'm particularly fond of their ETERNAL WARRIOR album).
My favorite Japanese metal band would probably be the stoner/doom band, ETERNAL ELYSIUM.
(I'm not embedding this cuz I'd rather not clutter the thread with a youtube spam fest)I recently found another awesome Japanese stoner/doom band called 中学生棺桶 (Chugakusei-Kanoke) or (Junior High School Student Coffins???) xD
I also like Volcano, a few Galneryus songs are cool, FEEL SO BAD....and I can't remember any more atm xD

So the end of 2010 is less than 2 weeks away. Is everyone completely satisfied with their top albums list? I still haven't sat down and gave it much thought yet, but hopefully I can make a list in the next few days. Still some 2010 releases that I'd like to hear too =/
-
yep, I've heard of Iwasaki. Mostly from his work on the Rurouni Kenshin OSTs, which I thought were great.
As far as "spy jazz" goes, United Future Organization has some pretty awesome stuff:

^ lol.
What are everyone's top 10 favorite D'espa tracks? Actually, screw that. Lets do a top 11 instead...the number 10 is overrated
This was much more difficult than I anticipated, but in no particular order, my top 11 D'espa tracks would be:
[*:2kc2hbys]Lizard
[*:2kc2hbys]MAZE
[*:2kc2hbys]in vain
[*:2kc2hbys]0214
[*:2kc2hbys]marry of the blood (particularly the MaVERiCK recording - there was just something a bit more raw about it)
[*:2kc2hbys]月??記憶 -fallen-
[*:2kc2hbys]アベル??カイン
[*:2kc2hbys]Infection
[*:2kc2hbys]Tainted World
[*:2kc2hbys]Reddish -DIVA Version-
Obviously, I'm quite partial to coll:set. ^^; Honorable mentions to "DAMNED," "闇????る奇跡", "R.E.M-冬??幻??-", and "REDEEMER" amongst others.
